Im a 50yr old guy from Sydney. These woman are special, i saw them live last June one of the best concerts i hve ever seen.
I’m a 53 year old American male metal head and been a fan of Blackpink since Day 1 when they started. Seen them live twice. They’re great. A bunch of great songs and great performances.
Fyi, Blackpink is great on live stage. Especially Coachella stage. They go crazy on these stages.

My favorite song is "As if it's your last" but the best song you can hear their vocals shine is "the happiest girl"
You should react to Rosé's solos On the Ground and Gone both have music videos on Blackpink's channel. Rosé was born in NZ and raised in Australia she has an Aussie accent when she speaks English and she has said that Australia is her home. Rolling Stone AU/NZ selected ROSÉ as a Living Icon. She plays guitar and piano and writes her own songs.
Rosé's "Hard To Love" performance is superior though
I am an original Blink from their pre-debuts. For me, THIS was THE song that slayed me. When this song dropped, I felt a shift in the earth. It signaled that this wasn't just a great group,... this was my generations BEATLES. I lived thru Beatlemania. And I've NEVER seen anything like the popularity of these 4 women. I felt like the world was one way before the KILL THIS LOVE MV dropped,.. and now it was somehow different,... BECAUSE THIS EXISTS!!!!

As a once mostly metalhead teen that grew to love everything that I convinced myself wasn't for me, "Metal heads react to" is my new favourite genre on youtube. Especially when it's Kpop and Taylot Swift. Not all music is for everyone but it's cool to see the reacts or things fans from different genres notice/appreciate that general fans of said artists might miss!
Some people without even listening to BLACKPINK songs properly they just say they are meaningless. Thank god you are not like them . Their are meaning is every song of BLACKPINK. But they just don't understand.

BLACKPINK - "PINK VENOM"
Yep, this is about their vulnerability to love, and it's consequences. "How You Like That" is all about getting over a breakup.
They were at Coachella a few years ago (I think in 2020), then in 2023 they were brought back as the headliner group. There are some YT videos of them there.
I want to add one more thing but will keep this seperate.
One of the reasons Kpop is flourishing is because it's innovative and not afraid to combine genres. The best example of this is the virtual group, K/DA. It was/is a blue-sky what-the-hell-why-not? experiment in combining gaming, music, and animation. It uses characters from "League of Legends" so you have a built-in audience, but it also uses both Korean and American singers - Jeon Soyeon and Miyeon from (G)I-dle and Madison Beer and Jiara Burns from America. The animation from the French firm also doing "Arcane" is absolutely stunning and combined with a flat-out classic banger has pushed this song to six hundred million views in the six years it's been out. (If that wasn't enough, they also did the damn thing live with both the real singers and their avatar characters on stage. You can't move while you're watching it...)
You do realize you're never leaving Kpop land again, don't you? You've entered a land of wonder, and you're going to be slightly annoyed you didn't get here earlier, but you're also never going to want to leave...

I love your reaction! :) Welcome to the rabbithole of Blackpink ;) Besides the usual (i.e. How you like that, Pink Venom, Shut Down plus the members solos) I'd particularly recommend checking out Rosé singing in "Sea of hope": this has been a tv show during the pandemic - a bunch of changing celebrities run a small beach cafe together (cooking, taking care of the guests) and some musicians among them are playing some songs at the beach. Be prepared for a real treat! Rosé unplugged, raw, at the beach, singing various songs, sometimes playing the piano or guitar. Really, must listen! :)

Everyone giving dumb suggestions. Go back to the start and just watch all the m/v is your best option. Not much point in watching something live if you have seen the original. All the m/v are amazing from day 1.

As much as I love Teddy,💗💗😍 and he is a musical genuis, -( as shown in this M/V) with his full weight catapulting BLΛƆKPIИK to such heights..., his time had come. A new wave of YGE producers such as Choice 37 and his crew with the BAEMON7 has opened new doors to expand on the YGE formula and innovative concepts. Bittersweet, but necessary for YGE's future success! I wish them well! 👍😁💯 not a 'YGE OG' but follower for a looong time, and it's artist, that set the standard in 5thGEN. 💯💯😁👍

Welcome to the party. Here's some random thoughts/suggestions.
I'd follow Blackpink's chronology and go back to the beginning. "Boombayah" is an absolute banger, but the girls actually fought to release their sister song, "Whistle," which is one of the wierdest debut songs ever. It's very different from "Boombayah" and you can see the girls and Teddy Park weren't afraid to use minimal instrumentation and let the girls carry the song on just their voices. It's everyone's guilty favorite.
Here's a couple of other groups/people you should know about.
IU is the grand queen of Kpop. She's been in the game for over a decade, writing/producing her own material as well as being an award-winning actress. She's one of the most universally loved and respected figures in Kentertainment. And boy, does she know how to put on a show. Take a look at the opening number, "Eight" of her record-breaking "Golden Hour" concerts if you don't believe me, or just put it on anyway to see one of the most awesome stadium shows ever.
A person/group you should also check out is Jeon Soyeon and her group, (G)I-dle. Idle has rocketed to fame on their draw-you-in songs and is also unique in being almost entirely self-contained and self-generating. Soyeon writes and produces most of their material, tailoring it to the member's unique voices. This lets them produce a steady and consistent stream of earworm hits like "Tomboy," "Lion," "Queencard" and others. There's a lot of people that flatly declare Soyeon as one of those once in a generation musical geniuses and all you have to do is look at a few of their mv's not to wind up agreeing with them. With Blackpink in stasis for the moment, Idle really is the most creatively important group.

The songs that DO NOT have a music video (as they do not have subtitles) I recommend that you watch them in COLOR CODED LYRICS, look for it on RUclips, they are the same songs but with a translation and on the screen they show who of the 4 is singing.

English woman here and I would say if you are a newbie disliking a song is one thing start attacking our girls it will not go down well.
