Hi Lee. My mum's side of the family are from the Wirral and my dad's side from Toxteth. My mum's maiden name is Whalley and our ancestor was General major Edward Whalley, one of Cromwell's men and 4th to sign king Charles 1st death warrant. He had to flee to America with William Geoff and they hid in a cave and a priests basement. There's two roads named after them in America.

Just been reading about him now. Love the story about him hiding in the cave.
