Why is Sylas one of the highest picked mids in solo q among pros? Good 1v1 potential, good gank set up, amazing snowballing, can be one of the best ulti's in the game depending on the enemy, decent waveclear, super good 2v2. In this current meta mids need low CD, high damage, good mobility, good waveclear. That's why Sylas, Akali, Irelia, Qiyana are some of the best mids to climb with if you are mechanically proficient.

Irelia passive gives her more damage than having 3 full items, you can't do shit against her on 1v1
yeah but sylas doesnt have a passive that makes him stronger + heals him and you can win 1v1 even if you dont hit anything
yes and having a sylas in plat saying i have no strategy i was playing lux. does not matter iam 3/0 sylas dies 3 times dives me and leaves with 50%hp for some reason i can play better vs irelia mid than sylas, but is plat so

I thought the fight at 31:18 was so educational to watch. You backed out when jax came in (I guess waiting for Annie CDs?), and then zhonya'd at 75% hp (I usually don't press it until I'm low) so you could dodge more damage and have CDs up again. Really cool to see how you play from ahead - I think I would've just gone in and gotten blown up. Thanks Pekin!
Well that’s one thing when you’re really fed is you can bait a lot of cool downs with stop watch, and if you do it right your team can follow up on it. They don’t want to go in when the threat is in stasis but also don’t want to waste cool downs on weaker enemies. Like a mind game almost

Have you tried riftmaker sylas? Its super annoying vs 3+ melee teams in my opinion.

sylas heals ONLY bc of his w and if u dont use it correctly you loose unless you are super fed. Irelia in the other hand has a passive + an ability that makes her stronger + heals her per cs. So yeah, she heals a lot.
