Hi Laila! Thank you for watching! ☺️ Actually, my friend who’s from Wakkanai arranged the transportation for me. Buses are scarce in Wakkanai, and it’s pretty difficult to explore the city without a car. But there is a taxi stand outside the station, maybe it’s possible to negotiate with a taxi driver to give you a tour for a certain price. I hope that helps ☺️
I´m going to Japan for 2 weeks. Tokyo and Osaka are a given. I intend to spend the entire second week in Hokkaido. I want to take a day trip to Wakkanai and back. The next Island up is Russian territory, or what they stole from Japan after WW2.
Hi! Sounds like a great plan! But Wakkanai is pretty far from Sapporo, so I suggest you stay overnight. If you’re planning to do some sightseeing, you can also take a ferry to Rishiri and Rebun to make your trip worthwhile ☺️
