This is one of my favourite youtube videos. I come back here every year. Im so greateful to the maker, thank you.Very well documentated, lovely music (avoiding the excessively nostalgic music that could have made me cry). I hope he/she will make a new video in 2022, called Graphic Adventure Games 2011-2021 :) :) :)

A million thanks, I'm deeply moved, it's half an hour so intense, exploding into the brains cells. I've only played about ten of these games and sadly I won't manage to add too many more until I'll move into the grave. But thanks to Your hard work every now and then I can enjoy this achievement of human culture. So many ideas, so many styles! Your ultra-short Title+2-screens-presentation is spot-on for flashing the nostalgic mind. And I think the monotonous music loop supports the trance effect of the optical sequence. (By the way: I vainly waited for the weird "curse of enchantia".)

wow just watched the video bcs playing old school adventure games. and noted and checked several times looking for games and added to play list. great video for listing old diamond games, also feeling the nostalgia is much better. i realized after that 1990 s games were much more warm hearted, friendly to me. than 3d adventures took their place with frozen models and we lost these feelings. only Lighthouse, myst series and afew ones gave us to chance to discover new worlds in 3d well.

I can't thank you enough for your work. Some real deep cuts are in this montage. Games I loved to play, but lost them and all I could do is to describe them to other people ("It stars inside a sailing ship" or "Two characters are wandering in a huge manor or castle. It is set in the modern time but kinda occult, like Gabriel Knight") but for decades I was not able to find their name (Maupiti Island, The Watchmaker).
One game I missed from the video, another deep cut, and one of my favorites: Outcry (2008)

I've been searching for an adventure game for a while but haven't had any luck finding it. I played it in 2000 when I was a kid, but the game was from the mid to late 90s. It was a point and click game very similar to Myst, also using static images in a pseudo-3D style. You appear to be in some kind of facility, possibly located on a moon or alien planet. You begin in the control room of a nuclear reactor (fusion I think), and you must turn it on to power some areas of the facility. Certain areas are flooded with radiation and you cannot enter these. Also, there are underground passages leading to certain locations. I think there is a communication tower, and a room called the "time vault". That's all I can say about it, I don't remember much more than that.
This game is nonviolent, with no combat, or weapons/guns of any sort. There appears to be no characters whatsoever. The identity of the protagonist (if there is one) is not revealed. This game had strong puzzle elements. At times, it also had creepy sound effects. I assumed the game was a Myst clone, but my searches of Myst-like games has revealed nothing so far. If anybody knows anything about this game, please reply to this comment.

I’m looking for a game, I don’t know if anyone can help. I remember playing it around 1990-1992. It was cd rom for pc. It was sort of MYST style in that it was first person, and you’d click to get around, it was picture by picture. But it seemed like a stylistic rip off of a Blade Runner type city. It had sounds, no music. Just very noir and atmospheric. Neon street lights, things like that. It never left my head but it’s all I can remember. There was something in the art style of those games then when each frame was a picture, very cool looking and feeling.
If anyone can help let me know.

we all here because we have a game that we played in our childhood that we know that it exists but we can't remember what it's called
and we only remember still images of the game and desperately trying to find it knowing damn well you are probably not going to

Can't find a graphic picture adventure game I am looking for if it's educational, screensaver, or just a PC game.
I can't find the name of the exact game though my father thinks it is Robert Ballerds Titanic (which I only see videos but not the game)however I will mention what it looks like, the best I remember.
Your goal is to find a wreckage.
You start in a museum/display room with maybe a woman standing left side of the the displays (not sure if she is there but I believe it) in the Warehouse of three rooms. Exit the warehouse there is the docks outside (morning) where a boat that has a submarine hooked to it. (The dock is on the right side while the boat is on the left in the shore line.)
Inside the boat/submarine not sure what it is but has two maybe three rooms. The huge room has a few puzzles one having a under water scope if I am correct. The next room door on the right of the main picture there you face the door you went in and cannot ever see behind but only the computer tech on the left side of the room near the door and on the right near the door is a table holding a item that is used for a puzzle.
If anyone knows about this graphic adventure game please let me know.

Not even a correction list remembers Kingdom O' Magic, were is the world heading? The non-linearity, humour and voice acting was amazing, in that game. Even better then Monkey Island and The Neverhood.
