Brother Dang, the first time I heard this song, I recently loss my dad a week or so. We drove by the hospital where we said our last goodbye. It was so sudden. I was not prepared. Imagine having to tell your non English speaking mother, your father is not going to make it. I reword the distance with heaven separation and my heart cried out. I was the driver and we were on a 10 hour road trip. I had to pull over to let someone drive. I cried so hard. I've rewrite the lyrics but have no guts to share. Thank you for writing song and music that touches our soul.

I’ve lost track of how many times I’ve listened to this song. Never gets old. Love the lyrics and your voice makes the song so sad. My mom passed away at the end of April of this year. My younger brother wasn’t able to see her before she passed. He tried everything to get here but time was not on his side. My brother cried so much. This song reminds me of his struggle.

I tell ya this I waited for 3 years for my mom come home. I had Originally planned to go see her but she came home. I finally had my chance to tell her I love her and that's all I been towards her. I was a struggling addict who won his battle finally 3 years ago.
This past November 2018 3 days after I got to tell her what I went thru and how much I love her. My mom past away. She came home to for closure and I got closer too. So love your mom dad because u don't know how hard it is after.
