    What is the thickest material this machine is capable of cutting? And how much will the upgraded software cost? So far I like the machine…

    • @SwiftCreekCustoms
      @SwiftCreekCustoms  Год назад

      The machine has a 4 mm clearance from machine to bottom of the housing when installed correctly. However, that is just machine clearance.
      I tried a 3 mm piece of Eva foam amd it fit but in order to cut, the blade has to he extended out and then it just slices your materials.
      Siser has cut Brick 1000 HTV which is equivalent to 1 mm.
      There are several factors in this and I'll be testing more, just not enough hours in the day.
      Both thickness and density play a factor in whether a material can be cut on a machine.
      More details to come on both your questions.

      @@SwiftCreekCustoms I have found the latest silhouette cameo machine and their business software to be horrid, their CS just as bad. I hope this company stands solid behind their family of machines, software and truly appreciates their customers. Please ask em to give us lots of tools that will allow us to create, to build upon simple shapes. Easy tracing ability that renders fabulous results. I owned Make The Cut software, loved it once I got the hang of it. Simple and very affordable yet very powerful and it worked flawlessly. No longer in business for whatever reason. Sure wish it was still available. I appreciate your in-depth response.

Both the tools available for the machine itself and the tools in the software. • @SwiftCreekCustoms
      @SwiftCreekCustoms  Год назад

      I'm sorry my videos aren't "expert" enough for you. I am a Beta tester for Siser and have been using the machine since before it was released to the public . As far as experts go, I am one in this industry. This machine is new and less than 6 months old. It does take time to learn the machine, create content, edit content, and publish.
      www.youtube.com/@SwiftCreekCustoms/videos
      There are also some basic training videos in the Leonardo Design Studio software as well.

      @@SwiftCreekCustoms I apologize, i didn't mean to come across rude. I thought that's what you said on one of your prev videos. I have been looking to replace my circuit. the rollers are all messed up, they get stuck, won't pull the mat in, pulls it unevenly its just a mess. I really want the graphtech, but I feel like I don't have enough volume for that budget. I met a sister rep and they did a full demo, but I lost his business card. as a tester, do you think Siser would offer some type of training in the future, or the buyer would navigate and learn through trial and error?

    • @SwiftCreekCustoms
      @SwiftCreekCustoms  Год назад +1

      @Ynelli rosas If you tell me where & what expo you were at where you met the Siser rep, I may be able to narrow it down and make that connection again.
      It really all depends on where you are in the world on what is going to be offered. These cutting machines are new, new.... only 6 months old as I write this, and we are all learning together.
      In general, at the moment, there are not going to be worldwide training sessions provided for every user. There are some things in the works, but they are very much locale specific and a work in progress.
      The best way you can learn is to do.
      You will mess up. Everyone does.
      It's really not a difficult machine to use. But it is different than the craft cutters like a Cricut or Silhouette. I explain that in great detail in my videos as well.
      It will take time to learn.
      I've been putting out content for the past 6 months on these new machines. Videos from the very beginning may have new information as the software is updated, and we are growing with Siser. For instance, in the video you commented on, there were no score lines in the software. However, there are now.

    So there’s no number settings on the blade? You just have to see the blade and gauge how much blade should show? I really like what I’ve seen so far. Thank you!

    • @SwiftCreekCustoms
      @SwiftCreekCustoms  Год назад +1

      Yes, exactly. You control the blade depth and measure for your material thickness. No numbers are on the blade housing.
      You have more control over it.
      I've seen where some CB09 blade users print out a number string and tape it on. It may be useful for some users.

    @24chrissypooh Год назад +1

    What’s the advantage over the Cameo?

    • @SwiftCreekCustoms
      @SwiftCreekCustoms  Год назад +4

      Juliet is coming in above a craft cutter which is what a Cameo is considered and under a professional cutter investment.
      Juliet uses a 45 and 60 degree blade style which is more like a professional cutting machine. You swap out the blade itself and not the entire housing. The user had more control over both the blade depth and cut settings..... but the biggest thing is the user will have to learn how to use the machine properly or they will get frustrated.
      I gave up cutting textured cardstock many years ago because of inconsistent results with Silhouette, so I just cut smooth cardstock only. The texture of the material can affect the cuts as well as mat stickiness & blade sharpness.
      I was able to cut textured cardstock with a 45 degree blade with no issues, just needed to test cut for my materials.
      Juliet also loads differently and cuts where you leave the blade housing.... this will take some time for a craft cut user to get used to. You'll see in the video I forgot to position the blade and made note of that.
      Juliet cuts towards the front vs cutting towards the back, so you can watch it cut.... much like a professional cutter.
      But, it's going to be a machine that the user will need to learn how it works.

    • @createinspain
      @createinspain Год назад +2

      Build quality for a start. This is more like the pro machines and as such it is a much more solid beast.

    • @sehabets
      @sehabets Год назад +2

      I think if you are doing a lot of cutting of the same material this machine will be superior in the consistency and speed. Results will vary by user but there is an appeal also to how easy the blade can be set up and changed.

    • @SwiftCreekCustoms
      @SwiftCreekCustoms  Год назад +1

      And I'll add as Stephen mentioned, so far I've noticed the faster speed..... doesn't work for other machines in all materials but I was using speed 13-15 with Juliet and she is zippy. I share that in the video as well.
