Battlefield 1 is better. By far. I'm fucking sick of all the bugs and graphical issues in bfv that keep being ignored for content and balancing.. some of these bugs have been there from the start like parts of the m1a1 carbine go missing when applying a default reflex or 3x scope and now the same issue happens with the type 11 but only with the 3x scope. And I absolutely hate how they set up the weapons skins in bfv, you can almost never have the scope you want match the skin you want and don't colour the parts you want or don't want coloured example wood parts different than metal parts. Armory items are way too expensive and you literally buy the game again just buying 4 items. And I ABSOLUTELY FUCKING HATE TIME LIMITTED CHAPTER AND WEEKLY CHALLENGES! I WANT TO PLAY AT MY OWN PACE NOT THEIR PACE. fuck bfv is the worst game ever. I'm never buying another live service battlefield game again.
Why there's not a single mention about the music? One of the key things I fell in love with BF1 was the incredible soundtrack it provided. Music is already nearly 50% of the atmosphere.
I liked bf1 since the beginning. Operations was the shit. The guns were interesting and actually killed. The vehicles were def a problem in the beginning but I think it's good now. The whistles at each rush of the sector. Bf1 had such good immersion for me. Bfv is kinda just a shooter with some ww2 stuff in it.
I feel like developers forcing Battle Royale into their game is becoming a problem. Fallout 76 is another example. I wish the genre would die frankly, I hate it.
Bf1: Bad maps with no cover, hackers, campers, bugs Bf5: NO bugs, flawless maps, some hackers but not so many as in bf1, overall great game. The bad marketing is why you emphasise in the bad side of bf5. It's because you actively search for the flaws, while you did not do that in bf1.
I've been swapping between the 2 and feel bf1 has a more realistic and more atmospheric feel. The guns feel meaty. I prefer bf1 at the moment but putting my hopes in 6.2
I think the only BFV maps that actually feel like you're in WW2 are Devastation, Mercury and the Pacific maps. Anything else is too "pretty" to describe the horrors of WW2. Not to mention the wacky uniforms in the game, especially those of Great Britain.
@@lukethefluke5819 I was hoping they would pull something of in the end and it would improve. Pacific was a step in the right direction and.like most people I was looking to seeing more theatres of war. In the end I bought BF4 and will keep going back to 1 till they pull that.
Although bf1 didn’t have historically accurate weapons and stuff, the immersion is what makes it so enjoyable, the sounds and gun play are top tier imo
@@harmansingh95100 I know that automatic weapons weren't widely available, but by the end of the war prototypes and fully completed auto weapons were fighting on all fronts of the war in ever increasing numbers, I Do understand the dominant hellriegal isn't a real gun, there aren't any and only one was built and the only proof is a few photos
mogz Well, the US joined the war very late in WW1 and was considered primarily a European conflict. WW2 was more of a “world war.” Us soil was also attacked in WW2 which may play a role.
@@Wagna762 I agree, and as a brit I also feel that Americans aren't very knowledgeable in understanding that the British and many others were instrumental in ww2 and also the d day landings, and American seem to believe that the Americans were the sole reason we won the war without knowing that after the battle of Britain there was little hope for German invasion of Britain and that stalin was pushing Hitler forces back, I agree the Americans helped and sped it up 100% and everyone agrees but I feel they believe that all the glory is there's but this kinda feeds back into their unusualy high amount of nationalistic patriotism
Th I’m As an American, there’s definitely plenty of Americans who believe the US was the sole reason for victory in Europe. Those people are just uneducated. There’s still many Americans who are very knowledgeable and unbiased about world history.
As a call of duty player battlefield 5 is no where near a call of duty feel, battlefield 4 is but at the same time battlefield 4 also feels like a really good game for their franchise
Bf 1 is so realistic and deep that i feel like a soldier when i play my parents keep telling me to stop yelling when I win but bro it's so immersive that I feel that I won the God damn war
@@guntherbgunnerson8989 I never ended up getting battlefield 5. It feels like they pushed the battle royale gamemode way too much. I also heard that the time to kill in bf5 was way too slow which also contributed to not buying bf5 for me. I just think that bf1 is a lot more polished and most weapons are well balanced and actually kill. Again I never played the game before (except for open beta) so I might have missed some things but those are the problems I had with bf5
@@theprim3ninja813 a friend of mine got it and was trying to get me to buy it for a while... but then he changed his tune after he realized just how bad the game is after a while
I never got why people complain about bf5 being un historical, then hail bf1 as some sort of masterpiece, bf5 definitely beats bf1 in its portrail of its events
@@Dabpss well not to insult you or anything but i feel like thats mostly ignorance. The main type of combat on the western front as we all know was trench warfare which is barely shown in bf1, and the guns... just wow. No soldiers werent running round in body armour all with automatic rifles and machine guns and shit. While in bf5 that is at least more realistic. I get its a game but this portrayal crosses the line between accessibility and being an insult to history
@@boomboy4102 making trenches less of a thing is different from shoving their agenda down our throats. Still I think verdun is cool because it's realistic
Here's my take: BFV at the Beta and up to 5.0 had the best gunplay I had ever played in a multiplayer shooter *PERIOD* . It's my personal opinion but I don't think that is an exaggeration. The recoil, lethality, ttk, sound design, animations, everything was on point (aside from a bug here an their). Even the movement system is underrated. It made me feel like a delta, navy seal, Green beret, spetsnaz, super soldier on meth, and I LOVED it. I was heart broken when 5.2 took that away from me lol. It made me go back to BF1 BF1's gunplay is *Significantly* more difficult than BFV is the first thought I had playing it again. It required more thoughtfulness and pacing to get the most out of any gun, and the recoil wasn't predictable like BFV. That being said, I still find it *Really* enjoyable. Combine this with everything else Bf1 does *Masterfully* (Visuals, sound design, uniforms, animations, history tidbits, OPERATIONS) It ends up being the best historical shooter easily in my opinion. Most of the critiques I see about BF1 involve people complaining about casuals or not knowing how to take advantage of something. There will always be issues with campers of any type and I don't thinks its solely a BF1 problem. Also, I don't think the recoil or bullet deviation is that bad to warrant it being called "casual". If anything it means that you probably have yet to get good enough to overcome it. At the end of the day it's different strokes for different blokes. They both do things incredibley well, however, after 5.2, I would definitely say BF1 is the better product. Though I enjoy the gunplay for both, I do think BFV'S gunplay *WAS* superior to BF1..... but then Order 5.2 happened.
@@toastybread419gaming My only problem is that's it's basically dead on ps4 lol. There's only one lobby for conquest in eastern america at any given time and God help you if you want to play a dlc map or any another game mode. If it was populated I could play BF1 for half a day perosnally lol. Like I said different strokes fod different tokes.
4:20 One thing, I’ve honestly had more issues in Battlefield 1 where a lot of enemies lay prone on the other side of the map and turn the enemy team into fish in a bucket, where half the team is proning supports and snipers, notably on maps like Sinai desert. That might be an operations mode thing, but haven’t really had that problem in BfV’s breakthrough mode. Lack of visibility is annoying, but getting killed by 20 pea heads in the distance is more annoying imo. Other than that, I agree with the video.
My experience with breakthrough is spawn at the back, but still get shot in the back within seconds. Spawn in death streaks like Ive never experienced in any other game. I play alot of Operations on BF1 and can safely say this is not an issue I often have a problem with.
Unpopular opinion: Battlefield 5 is way better than BF1. BF5 has soldier customization, BF1 has not. BF5 gameplay is so much smoother than BF1. BF5 interface is much more accessible and cleaner than BF1. Only thing better about BF1 is the nasty war atmosphere.
Bf1 and it’s not even close. Bf5 has been a disaster from the moment they announced it with that SJW appeasement trailer. DICE is not the company it once was unfortunately
Exactly, dude i love BF series but the stupid bitchass swedish DICE ruined it after it reached the top with BF1 and defeated cod for the first time but the just ruined it and pissed me off so i ended up not buying the stupid game
i way much prefer BF1, the sound when we kill, the audio and the quick revive, the only thing i like from BF5 is the bettter speed movement! Oh can you (Players) choose Nivelle nights (BF1) map sometimes? Full of trenches and it's a fun map! i don't know why people skip this map :(
I love Nivelle Nights, unfortunately it’s not too popular among the player base. I wish DICE gave away the premium pass, so I could play the dlc maps more often in Latin America. I already played the extra content I paid for (there’s a word in Spanish for that, but I don’t know its translation to English lol), there’s no point for it to be kept as “exclusive”, I don’t mind if they give it for free, in fact, I wish they did so I could keep making use of it
@@owenwolfco.8344 I think people didn't like it because they're too lazy to turn up the brightness for better visibility, and others think the map is too much "ring around the rosie" when capturing objectives.
Lee Everett That’s why I’m not a fan of it. The map is too symmetrical imo for conquest. I still like to play it every once in a while because of the trenches. Would be a perfect operations map if they implemented it.
The majority of peoples opinions on which game is better becomes irrelevant to me when people say they have only played a few hours or just played the beta for BFV.
I personally like battlefield V more and he is over exaggerating a lot of the points but don't really want to argue in the comment section since its full of die hard battlefield 1 fans since people only watch the people they agree with.
Yeah battlefield 5, while brought down by terrible pr, it delivers a good, believable ww2 experience, whereas bf1 is an absolutely ridiculous portrayal of the war. According to bf1, ww1 was basically just modern warfare with biplanes and oldtimey uniforms. People running and gunning with assault rifles and smgs. No, bfv is definitely a step up from bf1
Whenever I play Bf5, I feel like every player GGG kills in his videos. I move 5 steps, shot at, or killed. It boggles my mind how so many of these players seemingly run around forever and don't seem to draw fire. Did I forget to turn off my neon light shoot me sign? Geez.
I've avoided both BF1 and BF5 completely since I wasn't interested in the historic setting when those games launched. I tried BF5 first a few months ago and hated it. It just didn't feel like a Battlefield game to me and felt soulless. Tried BF1 today and I was floored at how much fun I had. Really wish I hadn't waited 4 damn years to play the game!
Reasons bf5 wasn't as worked on: It had a poor reputation, People wrote it off as a bad game from day 1, Ea most likely did not give as many resources to the bf5 team as bf1 cause it didn't get many players, Ea being terrible at advertising the game, Not as authentic as people hoped, Ea rushed the game to meet deadlines, hence why bf5 has reused animations from bf1, And bad community communication, Ea cucked this game so hard.
@@irishkiwi477 Ea also known as Electronic Arts is known as a very terrible company ruining many peoples passion by ruining the game they loved. An instance is the PVZ community. They also won many records for community voted tournaments for “Worst company of the year”. Electronic arts is hated for various reasons like micro-transactions and their failure to maintain games, is a very stinky company.
I'm still playing BF1 Only 2 custom servers here in Australia But will jump on Operations on an American or European server On those servers, the fact my ping is 250 & it takes a million shots to kill anyone,I do manage to stay in the top 10 on my team just from a ton of revives (most in a game was 78) & heals. The Aussie one is a custom made one-shot kill server & it's a great challenge 4 yrs later from when I started BF1 (I have over a dozen games since, that aren't war ones) & I'm still here playing... Love the music Love the atmosphere Love the teamwork (sometimes) lol Just love the game!
Do not forget the FUN FACTOR, Battlefield 1 was just more fun! No weird politics or customerbase hating back then...And i hate "TEMPORARY MODES"! i used to love domination, now we have suckball conquest...just not the same as domination...so fuck bf v and the next game
Sometimes I just forgot BF5 was in WW2, it just felt so off like I mean it was fun but BF1 actually felt like WW1, yeah there was some things I didn't like but I think it's better than BF5 in a lot of ways.
I do think so. The game felt more immersive and authentic to the war. Teams were better balanced. Weapons felt like they didn’t need major adjustments in every update. The campaign was more fun. Graphically, bf1 felt better because the things weren’t all pixelated. Bf1 also never felt so buggy (even in the beginning). Audio, to me, feels the same on both. Force feedback for the ps4 is waaaaaay better in bf1. In bf5, it’s almost inexistent.
BF1 was never so smooth as it was at release. It worked perfectly. Once they started dropping content issues arrived but they weren't game breaking. You might seem to get shot round corner from time to time or you might encounter an invisible player every few weeks or so but they game was fundamentally sound!
@@prinzdenax people just follow the herd, whatever the "majority" say people follow. I guarantee over half the people who complain haven't even tried bfv
@neilegg1 Im going to be totally facetious and suggest Battlefield 1943 & the original lucas arts Starwars battlefront 2 aswell just because Disneys money paid for the engine downgrade to both IP's that Battlefield 1 was built on the back of? Because everybody loves graphics & animations over actual quality of experience, NOT! I also predict if anybody still cares your coment will blow up in the thosands. This was the biggest trigger in the gaming world for me among EA's laundry list of gaming crimes i wont detail just mention Command & Conquer, Syndicate wars & Dungeon keeper & leave it at that RIP oh and where the f**k did Mercenaries 3 go that would have been epic on any version of the frostbite engine just imagine lol. Almost forgot a modern HD remaster of RTS game Space hulk vengeance of the blood angels? EA dropped the ball then toe punted it to death like a james bond villain on countless occasions ruclips.net/video/qSRzAWqPXZ4/видео.html EA sports its in the game lol.
Strange opinion. But I think the fact that you cant customize your soldier in BF1 (besides emblems, rifle skins, etc) helped with the emersion. There's unity with your teammates when you all fight under the same uniform. And while I know BFV has tone down it's soldier customization a fair amount, I feel the few things you can still change still allow it to stray far from that immersive army/unity feel.
My fav class is recon, so for me anything is better than bf5. Bold action snipers are not enjoyable whatsoever, and playing with semi autos just don't do it for me. Removing of 1 shot 1 kill is a major disappointment, dice could've at least make some hardcore servers with that mechanic and more lethal gunplay in general
@@dnartolp830 Point is in being lethal. When I shoot a fucking sniper rifle from 150m to the guys chest, I want a kill. I want to feel, that I am firing an actual weapon, not a stick with the scope. Same goes for every other weapon. In bf5 they don't feel like a real thing, everything is extremely weak and easy to use which creates a sense of being in some playground indie game, not in ww2 shooter
@@dnartolp830 You do realise the snipers in BF2BC/BF3/BF4 were also OHK weapons in close range, right ? You could kill people up to 15 meters with a bullet to the chest in those games. But overall, I do partially agree with you, I hate hill-camping assholes in every Battlefield game.
Bf1 had emmersion. It felt like a grand global conflict. The narator is spot on. I always favored paid dlc over live service. Live service means only if people pay enough money on dlc skins/emotes/dialoges aka non gameplay or content will we make it a good product and give you some more content. Bf5 feels like your a uniform scavanger in a rebelion. The pandering for representation and inclusivity hinder its supposed realism/emersion. Its uniforms look wackey its gun skins are over the top imo but this is a trend throughout shooters nowadays, ode to pink and yellow guns lol. I hope
@@willb1405 yes they did. But out of the gate i found battlefront 2 lacking plus the ptw skill cards sucked the fun out of it. Live service as it is now imo means launch a barely ready game find a way to monitize it, and if enough people stick around only then make and release new content. For premium model they have to work their and deliver good content. Bf 3 bf4 and bf1 delivered really goid content. And not just skins and a few maps and a gametype or 2
In my opinion, BFV is better than BF1. Once BFV was released, I have not even loaded up BF1 since that time. Just having a game without the sweet spot makes BFV better. Well, if you do not want to count the Anti-Material Rifles, of course. Removal of 3D spotting, just by spamming a button (coming from a Hardcore only player via BF3/BF4), instantly gave BFV the leg up on BF1. Almost forgot about one of the things that I hated about BF1 that brought gun play down a lot, Random Bullet Deviation. BFV the bullet go to where you aim, giving BFV the leg up on Gun Play. Tthe best aspect of BF1, what made it a great game, was the launch. The launch went how it should of, blowing BF3/BF4/BFV out of the water. It worked, which blew me and most players of BF4 away, since the launch of BF4 was broken, the game was broken for a year, just unplayable. BFV launch was not...horrible, but it was. Pushed back launch date, missing features, etc, but the game was playable(unlike BF4), but the hype was so high, due to BF1's launch going so well, that anything less than that, was considered a failure. BF1/BFV both have good maps, great maps, shitty maps, but all the time I have spent playing BFV, I have never seen servers have everyone mass quit out when certain maps load up, like happened all the time with BF1, even with map voting. I did enjoy vehicle gameplay better in BF1, even though I am mainly an Infantry player, Airplanes were more enjoyable in BF1. Just can't get into flying in BFV, having underleveled(perks) planes attempting to go against max perk planes, getting slaughtered instantly. But yeah, I like BFV more.
That’s why you practice and get better with planes. I was shitty at first but got better, way better with time. I suggest you watch “Azura” on plane tactics. It will help....
Bf1 for me in every way, atmosphere, time period, guns, sounds, music, gameplay etc. Only thing I like about bf5 was the vehicle gameplay. Hugely disappointed bf5 wasn't the ww2 equivalent to bf1. I knew from the beta bf5 played and felt horrible, no idea why I bought it on launch 😪
I know this is an older video. A lot of things are very much agreeable both objectively and subjectively. The thing though is BFV has a handful of major QoL improvements in detailed mechanics within gameplay that mainly separate it from BF1 on those levels. Simply, I wished they would have taken BF1 style (all of which you mentioned) and just given it these improvements and translated it to a WW2 setting. Of course, vehicles. I know people maybe indifferent with the tank balancing. I like how it is in BFV. People complain of tank sniping. But these type of players almost never properly contribute to the objective. I do wish there were maybe some changes to supplying and further refinements between tank types. Thats about it. Spotting...this is major for me. I HATED BF4 spotting mechanics. Yet I did love that game and put tons of hours into it. But man were the "doritios" super annoying . Most BFs seemingly improved upon this but it wasn't until BFV that I felt its much more where it should be. Puts a lot more weight on the Recon class that now can properly "scout" and feel like they are getting a solid benefit from it vs all other predecessors where you spammed the Spot key. Plus, spotting has two sides for every gear: Flares can be shot, snipers can be killed to get rid of scopes, etc.... just feels much more balanced and I hope this does not see many changes from this mechanic. Reviving/Medics: hands down one of the better improvements. Medics had a tendency to dominate in importance in past BFs. Having the ability to Revive your squad mates was a massive improvement upon this. Yet Medics still feels valuable. Also, having the animation adds tons of risk vs reward vs past iterations of the mechanic. Squad Points: massive buff to squads that gave it much greater importance to doing Squad related objectives beyond just being spawn points or with friends. I LOVED this. I just felt DICE never expanded upon it properly. Calling in a Sturmtiger is awesome or a V1 Rocket. Its tactful, yet rewarding and keeps squads "focused" on same goals. With further balancing and expansion, a lot could be done here. Sad part, these QoL improvements, as major as they were, the whole "atmosphere" of BF1 is missed in BFV and its unfortunate DICE dialed back on this. Explosions feel less impactful (minus when a V1 Rocket hits lol), destruction is less (I miss Bad Company 2 days of annihilation of entire landscapes), music, sound effects, and yelling/screams of soldiers just adds so much more to a game. Operations was badass in BF1 (though I kinda hated Behemoths in these modes along with planes as they are just spamming explosives on you lol). Why BF5 version of the epic theater fights was gutted back is kinda beyond me. Hopefully BF6 brings it all together. In reality, I would typically play BF5 over BF1 as it just has better gunplay and core mechanics that are seemingly more balanced.
I remember my first BF1 match. I had to take a break after because of shear overstimulation of my senses. The fights were intense full of gas and explosions. Debris flying everythwere. It was AMAZING
Same here. I absolutely suck at BF1 and BFV but I honestly just have fun (even though I raged tonight cause my WiFi was bad but then I realised someone else was using my wifi, after I shut down my PS4 and then I felt stupid 😂). But honestly BF1 is my absolutely favourite Battlefield, but I do enjoy BFV and it is easier to find a mode you enjoy, instead of Conquest in BF1. I love how both look but for me BFV feels different in a way I can't explain but everything in BF1 is just so chaotic I love it.
I think your assessment was pretty accurate. I will say that initially, I enjoyed BFV’s gunplay more. As someone who, at one time, was an avid shooter IRL...the guns in BFV felt more real than bf1, but as you said...they’ve been tampered with so much that it’s just not really the same game at this point (from that aspect at least). Overall I did enjoy bf1 better...but BFV has redeemed itself to some degree with the Pacific. Keep up the great work, man 👍👍
In my opinion, BFV is a failed experiment where DICE tried to reproduce the succes of Live service from Rainbow Six Siege. It failed miserably in so many aspects: most of the maps are fucking crap, the vehicle balance is also crap, the game breaking issues are something that the devs should fix immediately, but they are normal routine in this game, no anti-cheat, horrendous RSP service, no team balancer, fucking attrition system... Need I go on ? The only, and I do mean, THE ONLY redeeming quality of BFV was the gunplay, which was butchered twice so far. And even when the gunplay was good, the Recon class was hammered to the ground, even more than the Recon class from BF3/BF4. I admit the sniping part was pretty casual in BF1 with the sweetspot mechanic and the increased bullet velocity, but the bolt action rifles in BFV were worse than the sniper rifles in the former Battlefield games. In BF3/BF4 people often forget the Recon class could still OHK enemies up to 15 meters with a bullet to the chest, and then the damage gradually decreases over the range, which was somethig very good. No bolt-action rifle nor self loading rifle in BFV has this capability and you must take in consideration the fact that most rifles have the bullet velocity similar to that of BF3/BF4. So no, BFV is a failure of a game overall. It's not a subjective way to tell this game is horrendous, it's a fact that this game is hot garbage. Quite possibly the worst Battlefield title I've ever played and among one of the worst Battlefield titles ever made.
I was watching a video of my gameplay that popped up from BF1 yesterday. SMLE outright killing people with one hit, the way a rifle should be working within it’s operational range yet making you vulnerable if you’ve managed to get in to close combat. A shotgun killing someone at close range in one hit rather than suddenly realising you need another couple of shots, None of this, oh, you tickled someone, now he’s turned around and shooting you dead. Bf1 was more visceral to me also.
I played BF1 with my friends from the release date all the way till BFV's release, and we stopped playing BFV 3 months into its life cycle. So freaking garbage.
Battlefield V was such a disappointment, it visually looks worse too with the saturated colors and bad weapon/hand model. Not to mention they were against giving us the most well known battles like Normandy and Stalingrad.
Agreed 100%. Bf1 had incredible atmosphere and sound direction. You felt a real sense of epicness and grandeur. BF5 looks good graphicly but it feels sadly hollow at times. The atmosphere just isn't there.
I’ve only played a little of both and I enjoy BFV more... idk I think people just have a bad taste in their mouth about BFV because the women being in WW2 and people wearing things and dressing a certain way that’s not realistic to WW2... people come to BF for the realism so I understand...So it’s like BFV can do no right to people because it started off putting a bad taste in peoples mouth... in reality I feel like BFV is a solid game and is better then most FPS multiplayers
BF1 is a much better game, the developer's really put their heart and soul into the game, and brought back the history that people don't really know about.
On console bf1 is so much better they don't even play in the same ligue. Bf1 had a hard time releasing new content at its life circle but besides that it was a much more polished experience. With bfv every couple of months I gave it another chance the game felt completely different. I also prefer to be able to see my enemies. Graphic wise bf1 looks better than v on the ps4 pro, too. I still play bf1 on ps4 and I think it's more populated than v. Bf1 is easily better. I kind of forgot about it tho over the years and just came back to play it this week because I saw a digital foundry vid about it running on the ps5 because it is a free game now for ps5 owners. It's still worth picking up on console
I prefer BF5 for the simple reason that I feel that it has better movement than BF1. In BF5 I can turn just the way I want to, move around just the way I want to. I jumped into a game of BF1 a few days ago because the BF5 servers were down and I probably spent half an hour in the settings trying to make the movement feel better but I just couldn't. It feels sluggish and hard to aim. And I'm not talking about recoil as there is obviously more recoil in BF1. I'm talking about aiming before you shoot, it takes me longer to actually put my crosshairs on an enemy in BF1 where as in BF5 I can easily just snap onto an enemy and start shooting very quickly. This for me personally makes me prefer BF5 over BF1. I play on PC though and this might not be a problem for people playing on console.
People always throw shade on the newest game, when battlefield 1 came out people thought it was bad now its suddenly so good, and when battlefield 6 comes out then battlefield 5 is suddenly gonna become a good game
This isn’t related to multiplayer, but when I played the war stories of BFV, I experienced so many god damn glitches. Models freaking out, characters being fucking invisible in cutscenes, I got stuck after a cutscene and couldn’t move, and several times where I couldn’t change my weapons in segments with tons of enemies.
My friends and I got BF5 to play together, we were not fans and heard BF1 was better so we just picked it up in 2021 and it feels so much better despite being an older game
BF1 I felt was more immersive and fun. BFV feels like a twitch CoD shooter. The movement speed is like a crack and meth addict overdosing before their heart explodes. BFV can be fun at times but the net code is absolute trash! BFV looks so great you can’t see enemies five feet in front of you.
One fact that i founf great about the gunplay in bf1 is that its possible to play with infantry bolt action and be agressive and effective. In BF5, its ww2 and everyone is running a x4 scope on every gun
When people complain about spread in BF1, they fail to mention that there are low spread weapons in the game in every class. But the problem is that they are more skill based weapons that require you to make your shots count like the 8.35, Chauchat, 1906, Ribey and all scout weapons. People dont like using them because they dont have a lot of rounds at a fast fire rate.
I find the gunplay/gameplay mechanics way better in BF V, even after update 5.2. This is the only thing that keeps me playing it, although DICE messed it up completely in every other aspect, while at the same time it keeps me away from BF1 because i cannot adapt to its gameplay anymore. BF1 is a masterpiece. It's the point 0,0,0 (0? :D), the reference of any FPS that will come from now onwards. It's so good in almost everything that you wanna cry. BF V does not have even half of BF 1's value in general but at the same time i feel gamers have been unfair to it. Although it's way worse to its predecessor, i can't find any other FPS with that level of graphics, audio, gunplay/gameplay mechanics-player movement, desctruction etc. that can stand next to it. Please do not mention any COD etc. These are jokes.
BF1 has such an epic atmosphere, I wish the playercounts were higher, noone is playing really in the usa anyway :( cant play anything except conquest and maybe operations if you are lucky, and forget picking a map, play whats in rotation
Just some critic: Talks about the audio of the games. Doesn't include any audio from the games. Talks about the vehicle game play. Doesn't include any vehicle gameplay. Don't get me wrong all in all it was a great video that I enjoyed watching. I usually don't watch Battlefield videos for the full length, but this one was actually interesting.
Cheers dude. Unfortunately I was very limited in what I could show due to the servers being down. I had to reuse old footage and I thus had to mute the original audio from it. I also don't really use vehicles, so I didn't have prior footage to feature. All the best and I appreciate the kind words.
The gunplay of BF1 is likely not as good as BFV (pre 5.2), and the movement of BFV is also better. But just about everything else is better in BF1, it's a more consistent and polished product and I feel you on the roles and balance of the guns, even though I don't like it's gunplay as much as other Battlefield games, it's still well designed and the weapons themselves fit their roles and balance in a meaningful way, that lends itself to multiple play styles. Can't really say that about BFV post 5.2 update.
The difference between dice la and dice Sweden is so Obvious in thes two games. Bfv is just a unfinished game and it’s not getting better. The quality of Bf1 is head and shoulders above bfv.
*HOT TAKE:* BFV offers superior Vehicle balance to BF1 but also offers the most boring vehicle gameplay experience of the entire Battlefield franchise.
It’s kind of funny how in the beginning EA did not want dice to make battlefield one because They thought a world war one game would be pretty bad, turns out dices World War II game was terrible
Which do you think is better and what were your final scores? Let me know :)
*EDIT - The video quality is lower because it's re-recorded footage from old videos. Was unavoidable with servers being down*

Bf1: Bad maps with no cover, hackers, campers, bugs
Bf5: NO bugs, flawless maps, some hackers but not so many as in bf1, overall great game.

Here's my take:
BFV at the Beta and up to 5.0 had the best gunplay I had ever played in a multiplayer shooter *PERIOD* . It made me go back to BF1
BF1's gunplay is *Significantly* more difficult than BFV is the first thought I had playing it again.

One thing, I’ve honestly had more issues in Battlefield 1 where a lot of enemies lay prone on the other side of the map and turn the enemy team into fish in a bucket, where half the team is proning supports and snipers, notably on maps like Sinai desert.
@Goul_Slayer_76 I'm not going to lie but I experienced more support campers in bf1 than bfv.
@GLA POSTAL SERVICE I can agree with that

Yeah, Nivelle Nights is often skipped for no good reason. I’m beginning to think it’s the one and only map that actually has a ton of trenches.

Geez.

Reasons bf5 wasn't as worked on:
It had a poor reputation,
People wrote it off as a bad game from day 1,
Ea most likely did not give as many resources to the bf5 team as bf1 cause it didn't get many players,
Ea being terrible at advertising the game,
Not as authentic as people hoped,
Ea rushed the game to meet deadlines, hence why bf5 has reused animations from bf1,
And bad community communication,
Ea cucked this game so hard.

Yes
No one is capable of convincing me that BFV is better than BF1
The way you present these is class i love it
I think your assessment was pretty accurate.
For me Bf1 will always be special👍
The fucking atmosphere, god I miss that
I played Battlefield 1, but I didn’t play Battlefield V, and I don’t know whether to buy the BFV or keep the Battlefield 1 game.
Buy five and have them both
BF1 is a much better game, the developer's really put their heart and soul into the game, and brought back the history that people don't really know about.
Nice video, dude! I was looking for something else to play and this helped me make the decision!
I loved them both. Even though bf5 is broken I dont play any other game except battlefield. But BF1 was better imo
Battlefield one is like you in an animus playing as your great grandfather in ww1
I KNOW
My friends and I got BF5 to play together, we were not fans and heard BF1 was better so we just picked it up in 2021 and it feels so much better despite being an older game
Until i played bf5 i never thought i would miss bf4 and 1 that much
i don't know if bf1 atm is better then bf5 but for sure battlefront 2 atm is long way better then bf5
Battlefield 1: like
Battlefield 5: reply
In my opinion, bfv used to have better gun play than bf1, but after 5.2, it definitely got worse
I liked battlefield 1 way better... I hate how you can’t spot people on bf5... Its a campers dream.
headshot with sniper in bf 1 was so satisfying
I thought it was BF1 vs BF5, not just BF1. Where the fuck is gameplay of BF5?
BF1 was a complete and polished game while BFV still feels like it's in pre alpha
That's an insult to games that are in pre alpha
Plus we don't have prosthetics or females.
Haha, just watched this after the news you put out about BfV being dropped like a white hot turd.....
One fact that i founf great about the gunplay in bf1 is that its possible to play with infantry bolt action and be agressive and effective. In BF5, its ww2 and everyone is running a x4 scope on every gun
Bro I zoned out and just watched the gameplay lol
11:11 *BFV trasmission: ARE YOU SURE ABOUT THAT?*
@@GetGoodGuy I understand, but it's just that most of your videos is only talking, I would enjoy some more in game sound.
me: happily remembering bf1
him: brings up smg 08
me: triggered
Sorry man but gunplay is night and day for me. BFV is miles and miles ahead
IDK about you guys..
*But when that whistle blows, you just run without thinking*
The gunplay of BF1 is likely not as good as BFV (pre 5.2), and the movement of BFV is also better. But just about everything else is better in BF1, it's a more consistent and polished product and I feel you on the roles and balance of the guns, even though I don't like it's gunplay as much as other Battlefield games, it's still well designed and the weapons themselves fit their roles and balance in a meaningful way, that lends itself to multiple play styles. Can't really say that about BFV post 5.2 update.
You gotta mention how weak the guns feel in battlefield 5. The vibration feels really soft and the sounds are bad.
Have you actually played bfv? Cause you couldn't be more wrong
The difference between dice la and dice Sweden is so Obvious in thes two games. Bfv is just a unfinished game and it’s not getting better. The quality of Bf1 is head and shoulders above bfv.
Fair assessment in my opinion.
*HOT TAKE:* BFV offers superior Vehicle balance to BF1 but also offers the most boring vehicle gameplay experience of the entire Battlefield franchise.
Maybe for Armor, but when a plane like the BF109 G6 exists, balance is out of the question
Bf1 wins hands down. I wish I had internet strong enough to still play it.
me too, im tethering my phone to PC to play online and it works but I do have to watch my data usage since I only have 12gb
I only use mobile hotspot and it works really well, unless someone else is on it otherwise don't play.
Guns in BF5 sound like pop guns, grenades sound like fire crackers
Well i know how bf1 was at the beggining and see it now and if they do the same to bf5 then i think bf5 is better
Honestly the gunplay In battlefield 5 is miles ahead of battlefield 1
The irony of watching this now
It’s kind of funny how in the beginning EA did not want dice to make battlefield one because They thought a world war one game would be pretty bad, turns out dices World War II game was terrible
Of course it is! What's your next video topic? Is sex better then getting kicked by a horse?!
