Thank you! Maybe that's why my leg cramps are better. maybe it's not the electrolytes at bedtime. Though I find myself walking around seeing what else I can declutter and donate and move and condense
I’m very proud of you! I did this years ago too. It was a very emotional experience. I have a small house without a place for storage. I have so much less stuff now. It’s a continual process. My granddaughter’s would go crazy over your yarn wall! I try to have this policy….if something comes in, equal or greater amount goes out. That has served me well. Especially with clothes. I come from a long line of hoarders. It is a struggle to keep it under control.
I like that philosophy. As I'm cleaning and decluttering, I've spent more money because I am buying things to make my house look nicer. This declutter is going to send me to the poor house, hahahahah trash cans, laundry sorter, new computer chair-mine is shedding the plastic covering and looks rough), and so much more; BUT, I tend to go through phases to make my house look nice, and nothing again for years. I'm also finding as I walk through the house i find more and more I want to donate or toss or condense to smaller containers.
The flooring is gorgeous!! Great job!!❤❤ You’re definitely ahead of the game at 52. So many people have 40 years worth of stuff and then they’re so overwhelmed and often don’t have the health anymore. (the opposite of you!)
That's how it was for 13 years, i didn't have the stamina or health. I'm feeling really good mentally about doing this. my long term dream would be to have the floors all stripped and refinished (I'd wait till i have less dogs lol)
I am happy to see your videos and realize that I am not the only one who stock up on too many things for "just in case" or "may be one day...". I have to do like you and start cleaning, just need a little bit of extra time
It was a hard hard thing, but I’m so thankful I’m done. Now I find myself randomly looking around and thinking of what I can condense or move to open more space.
Task for Judy….make a cute little hat using the yarn for those adorable pups…don’t want their ears to be cold this winter 😂😂. But seriously, that yarn shelf is very neat!
Love videos like this :-) hyper fixation is a thing ! My husband has major ADHD - a new hobby needs all the things and don’t ever try and stop him! On the other hand I am an organizer and minimal 😂😂 I watch declutters all the time I find it so relaxing! Also as a Realtor for 25 years I help a lot of people do Theirs!
oh man, Lisa, if you were near me, I'd have you come and talk to me. It's funny, but the longer I'm living in this newly decluttered space, the more i find i'm willing to donate more and throw away more. I'm also finding that I want to move more and more things so they are out of sight, or condensed to smaller containers and spaces.
it really is! if there was a clothes washer hook up, up there, it would be cool to live up there, but... if i plan to grow old here, I'd rather save up for a future hook up in my main floor somewhere.
I can relate to your room, if I hadn't had the hospital time then moved a couple times... I'd have sooooo much stuff! Well done Ms Terri!!❤ I like your upstairs too!😁
thank you! I have some old things that I've hoarded upstairs in my attic closet that are from my time when I was married. I need to start to dehoard that also. things like bedroom skirts and bedroom lingerie, i don't need that stuff anymore for sure.
@@terrileist When I have been able to clear spaces, it feels so good because it isnt taking up brain space for me anymore...and I need all the brain space I can get...🤣😂
Love love love this video. I would want to help you if you was closer. That room isn't too bad. Just a little more organizing and make sure you know where everything is will be an awesome feeling. Take it in small chunks and pretty soon you will be so excited and then you will tackle another room. 😊
yessss!! small chunks. spoiler alert, it's done, but I now keep walking into that room and thinking what can i get rid of to make it even better! I've been doing that all over my house ha!
I don't "get into things" and buy a lot, I never throw stuff away. We (Ran & I both) often can't find what we need, then find out months later, we had not one but two of said objects, so now we have 3. And they won't be in the same place, there will be one in the garage, one in the kitchen junk drawer and one in a box under the bed in one of the two extra bedrooms 🤦♀️ we have multiples of EVERYTHING! Seriously, refrigerators, microwaves, Alarm clocks, Cuckoo clocks, vacuum cleaners (we have 6 🙄) I think we own 10 hammers, but heaven forbid you should need one quickly (give Randy at least 30 minutes to find one) we live in disorganized chaos. Everything looks neat & tidy but we can't find 💩 when we need it 🤷♀️🤣🤣🤣 Edit: out of curiosity, I looked under the bathroom sink in the bathroom we don't often use (the house bathroom not the one connected to the master bedroom) I have 5 curling irons, in a basket, I HAVEN'T CURLED MY HAIR SINCE 2015
Teehee it’s so amazing what we find when we look in random places!!! I am fortunate that if I select a place I don’t have anyone to blame for it moving but me, ha!! I totally relate to multiples. I wanted to go by the thrift store to see if I could find 1 white vest. I came home with 1 white vest, 1 black vest, and 1 that’s reversible black and white 😆🙄
That's why Randy & I are so disorganized. We are not planners. Every few years we swear we're going to organize everything, what we end up doing is just moving the hoard from one place to another. 😵💫
@@terrileistThe scary part there is “out of sight, out of mind.” I’d take a big index card and write what all is down there and keep it in the kitchen! If you don’t use it in a year, then that’s a good sign that you might want to donate it.
We are blessed to have you!! You are God’s beautiful child. Please know that you are loved!❤🫶🏻🙏🏻
Awwww thank you so much!
That was a LOT of work! You're getting your work outs in for SURE! Super duper job!!!

We’re exactly the opposite! I have ADHD and have to have my hobby/craft! My husband is patient but every once in awhile he’ll let me know about it.

Good job! Thanks Terri Jennifer 😊
Thank you jennifer!! More to come for sure
What a great job!

Dang good job! Terri-toot-a-loo ❤
Thank youuuuy
Great job! I wish I could motivate the hubby to do the same. 😂
ha! it took a lot to get it done, and now I have the other part to finish. I still tweak as I walk in there though.

This is my problem right down to hoarding toilet paper
yep, but I'm not going to stop, because who knows what will happen in our world again.
