They also felt it was a way that parents could explain the situation to kids if they so chose. I was skeptical at first too but after watching the video I support their effort, they're bringing awareness in their own way
This comment section is going to be fun. Edit: Now people are saying that Legos are for kids and people shouldn't build military stuff with them. People must have forgotten about that Lego creator that literally is an F-35 with a different paint and without guns. Not to mention that one Technic that was so similar to an Osprey that it had to be removed. Guys, the objective of Legos is to build basically what you want.
I mean in the Official Lego video of their history they said that Lego can be anything you’d imagine and that "the possibilities are endless" Then it cuts to Kell saying "Look dad now i can build everything!"

This is happening in a country that (at least was) very pro-Russian and saw themselves as brothers to Russians. The final straw was the opening of the Nord Stream 2 pipeline which was going to supply Germany with cheap Russian gas. US oil companies would simply not allow that. Europe has to be dependent on America, so the anti-Russian aggression intensified and Biden began deliberately sabotaging the US's relationship with Russia to the point where placing missiles on the Russian border was openly discussed. The story from there is more complicated, but that's the gist of how the US has caused this war. Feel free to share.
Well, I understand why people would make military and war related builds, I build that a lot myself in fact. But that is all historic, this is now. Making a moc of a war that is going on right now is probably not a very good idea. Okay, the soldiers that are currently fighting are obviously not going to care, because they are literally fighting for their lives an do not watch lego videos. But for the russians back home, and the Ukrainians that fled and are now living in other countries, they might not like this kind of stuff.
Of course, it depends on the intentions of the builder, and as long as he stays respectful, I think he can get away with it, but I personally would never build this as long as the war is still going on.

I knew the comments section would be interesting. Seriously though, this feels wrong somehow. Imagine if they made a scene showing the twin towers being attacked or an IRA bombing. Some stuff just feels like it’s not a suitable idea for a LEGO display.

The problem that o have is he is not only building a war, which I think that’s ok, he is using this war as a political statement. He doesn’t try to hide it. Build the war, don’t include your feelings about who’s the good guy and who’s the bad guy. If you were a Russian soldier you would mostly think you are the good guy
