I did the same, except mine was "Surveilance Van " 😂 It amazed me how many people started taking walks down our street, checking all vehicles parked 😂😂😂 Guess it didnt dawn on them that LE wouldnt use that 😂😂😂😂
Love the router from your guy, Chester Tech!! I use the Verizon SIM card and really have no problems doing what we do. Watch videos and surf the internet. We haven’t done the rooftop antenna yet. Like you said, he is very responsive!! Thanks guys, we love it!!

I just got my T-Mobile Home Internet in our bus. Our first trip was up in the Sierra Nevada mountains near Lake Tahoe and Reno. I was getting 478 Mbps down and 12-14 Mbps up. I’m pretty darn happy with that. My Starlink wasn’t even able to get over 100Mbps down.
Starlink is good if there is no cellular service, otherwise cellular is the way to go.
I bought this router based on your review and found I like it a lot but it does have it's limitations. If you just need cell service and a router, this works very very well. If you want add repeating routers or mesh like set up, this router does not work that great. Chester Tech is a great resource and does answer questions in a timely manner.
RV internet is a must for me because I WFH and have a family.

Great information Izzy, thank you! I enjoy seeing you get all "geeky", it's obviously something you are interested in and know a lot about. So I wonder how many RV'ers are going the Starlink route, doesn't seem like all that many, there are better, cheaper alternatives.
Starlink is great for where there is no cellular signal. If you don’t camp that way cellular connection makes more sense
I just got the Verizon internet box when we were at the Hershey show. Haven’t used it yet, but I’m definitely considering adding a rooftop antenna. Our RV is prepped for the King stuff. I’m not sure if you have any insight on that, or if some other brand might have a better antenna. We’re in a Verizon area down in the pork roll section of NJ. 😂

Purchased the Unlimited Hotspot Cat18 4G LTE WiFi 6 Router DUAL Sim Cudy LT18 w Magic Quectel, from Chester Tech over a ear ago. Verizon and AT&T unlimited plans. When camping at Michigan State Park campgrounds, we rarely get better than 20up and down. I have two dirrectional antennas on a 30ft. mast. However, these campgrounds are very rural. Not sure if it is worth upgrading just yet to the RM520NGL like yours. Great Video. Hoping you will make it down to the 2024 Tamps RV show.
All depends how good your cellular signal is. I would test it where there is strong cellular to get a real world reading on speed.

Great explanation of a complicated technology. Question - does Chester offer dual modem units (2 different sims working at the same time, one ATT and one T-mobile for example) or dual Sim - 2 sims but only one active at a time?

You cannot get data only from visible. They show nothing for hotspot or data only.

Visible wireless or any prepaid unlimited phone data plan will work

I think not all 5G is the same. I have 5G from AT&T and I never get more than 25 mbps where I live no matter how many bars I have I have been thoroughly unimpressed. Any insights into this?
We have had well over 200 mbps on several occasion on att. You probably don’t have 5g service in the area you are in. Also depends on the router you are using
