Also, in addition to all that been said about Scotland, public transport (buses only) is free for children up to age 22. In some areas in Scotland, school uniforms are free too. Lastly, if the family is on low-income, children in high school from year 4 to 6, get EMA of £30 per week (i.e. educational maintenance allowance), similarly, yearly money for buying school needs including uniforms, shoes and bags for all children from low-income family too. Scotland is the best place to leave in the UK.

I just had a baby in Scotland and there is the baby box which Scotland gives every child. It contains clothes, books, bed and a baby sling. There is no baby box in England
    Free Medication for minor issues.
We don't pay for water and waste water.
As students, we don't pay council tax.

I don't think this isn't right, been watching Gloria's channel and her hubby works and has been working since he joined her.. besides isn't it same UK gov that issues visa to everyone going to UK, and for the dependent of students I know in Scotland there was no such clause in their visa and they actually work after landing there.

@@chukso2432 That's great. Maybe the doctor in Scotland that said her husband who is her dependent can't work until after 2 years of stay wasn't right in her claim because my husband and myself were astonished when she mentioned that to us.

England you will pay 300-400 £ a week as rent for 2 bedroom outside london. But scotland it would 150-200 £ for the same. Bills will be extra. So scotland would quite cheaper compared to england.

Scotland is overrated in my opinion. Accommodation is an issue here and it's not cheap except you live outside the 2 main cities. The weather is crazy but you will get used to it. And ofcourse, Scotland is not as lively as England. Scottish are friendly but make you dey watch your back o.
