  • Today we went out and did a blackberry mulching with an unexpected tree trimming job in the middle of it all. Unfortunately, I made the mistake and took the risk of doing a mobile estimate for this job and it turned out to be a different story. The extra debris really set me back and my Kombi System's chainsaw is out of shape for this type of work. But we learned some good lessons here today :)

You have the right attitude to treat this as a learning experience. My grandmother always used to say “you pay for your learning”.

Well, it was a few dollars, but the lessons were great. Paying for an education is how things work in America, it sucks but thats how it goes.

Great job friend. Did you ever find out what kind of tree/Bush that was inside the berries

Apparently it was a lilac bush, but I’m not sure that’s what it was. It was a strange situation. But a good learning experience :)

So, what happened with the tree now? They're keeping it?

I messaged them and asked them what they wanted done, they asked to leave it. But this was a job where I definitely made the mistake. I didn’t expect the area and wasn’t really sure what was going on. But things worked out in the end and I came yesterday and cleared all the branches.
A good learning experience here for future references.

It’s a 2 blade mulching blade. This one that I used for this job was really bad, probably shouldn’t have used it because it was bent and worn out everywhere.

@@darianmalcom7014 Thanks Darian. Well for this job unfortunately I didn’t make good money. I messed up with the estimate and it took me some more time to do. But it’s a good learning experience for future references.

@@darianmalcom7014 The job part sucks but the house part is really interesting. Is that something that recently started happening or has it always been around?

Thats not a tree, its a giant over grown weed. Should of used a real chainsaw instead of whacking it to death with that little limb cutter. No wonder the bar and chain is fucked when your swinging it like an axe.
