Thanks for sharing. I’ve never heard this melody before, but now I’m humming it all night..
Ich wünsche euch ihnen viel glück. So schön- gut musik.
It is such a wonderful melody that it makes really difficult to shape or explain the deep feelings comming inside my heart..Of course with the mystic sound of the qopuz and tapping my soul have never felt like this..It senses both happines sadness or something that i can not explain..My soul has wandered among these intense feelings..I congragulate you mr Weiss..
tarifsiz duygular içerisinde bırakıyorsunuz bizi.
Can’t get enough! Truely amazing 😍

🤗
This is really nice Mr Weiss! Amazing work as always :)
I hear alot of erkan oğur in this ;) thanks for sharing your beautiful music... we are all misafir 🌹
Also, how do you (re)harmonize a türkü (or other traditional song)? I know some techniques from jazz (passing chords, tritone substitution, drop chords) but I fail to make the accompaniment 'coherent' like you or erkan oğur, sinan cem eroğlu, ... for example
Its a complicated question my friend 😃
serseri herif tarzi hic benzemiyo bence.gayet orjinal
Great! I wonder if there is a how to play the kopuz
Superb as always :)

Akort “Erkan düzeni” gibi- alt’tan üst’e Re-La-Do.. ama 2 ses daha tiz (Fa#-Do#-Mi).

I forgot how to play it 😁
@@TheShfanfan is that a joke? :'(
No, it's from several years ago... I never remember things that I play... if I had to perform it I can re-learn, but usually that's not something I enjoy doing :)
beautiful!!

Gilad Weiss fits perfectly.

How is Tuning the kopuz
SOL Mİ LA
Can you please tell me what's the difference between Kopuz and Cura or saz short neck? If i take off some strings from a short neck saz, would it be the same as kopuz or similar? Thanks for your replay
Luca Freddi its kind of complex to explain the differences because the names are a bit mixed up... this instrument is called kopuz because Erkan Oğur decided to call it like that but many people do not agree with the name... also there is no actual standard as to what might be concidered a kopuz or a cura or a bağlama... its all kind of mixed up... to me the main element for which i would call something a kopuz is the tuning... you might call it “kopuz düzeni”... kopuz tuning. The idea is- middle string is lowest in pitch. The string that’s closest to the floor is a 4th from it. And the string that’s closest to your face is a 3rd from middle string (can be both minor as well as a major third). This kopuz is tuned mi-do#-fa#. İn solfej/ movable do thinking it is do-la-re. You can definatly take a cura or a short neck saz and “kopuzify” it... you can try single strings... courses... with bass.. without bass... whatever you want.. there’s a big creative element to this issue. At least that how i view these issues for this moment in time. :)
First of all thank you for exhaustive reply. I supposed something like that but I didn't know Ekan Ogur choose the name of this instrument. Thank for the explaination of the tuning. I just bought my first long neck saz yesterday but I love the turkish music since about ten years. I'll "kopuzify" another short neck saz :) because the sound of kopuz is much different from saz and much important for the ensemble effect of the songs. I was struck by "Hic" by Erkan Ogur and then I started to listen to many other turkish albums. I'm italian from Rome :) Thank you once again
Luca Freddi fun fact- i spent the entire last week with okan murat öztürk, the hiç albüm is a collaboration of him and erkan. Okan is one of those who do not agree with naming it kopuz :)) kopuz is a different instrument he says. We talked about it last week :))
Luca Freddi oh and btw, i really want to visit rome one day.. and also venice.. and i was a big Totti fan ;)
I'm listening to your version "Tutam Yar Elinden" for "kopuz" and i think is wordefull. I want to say that i don't know the title but i have recognized it because is one of the fist songs i loved in "Hic" album :). I read that your instrument was crafted by a friend of your...if you came to visit Rome I offer eight hours driven tour (i'm really a Rome taxi driver) of the city and you bring me a kopuz made by your freind :) :) :)
