As usual, what a great video. I'm taking my kid for panfish tomorrow. What I love about yot videos is that they are 95 percent educational and 5 percent showing off. Thats a good balance ;)
Nick. Dude. I'm only at New Hogan, on the shore just having fun. But you're teaching me so much I've gotta take notes like it's imperative to my life. Thank you so much for the massive wealth of knowledge.
Lots lots lots of tips , every time I watch you I learn something new becouse of you and other 2 guys I will stick the rest of my life with panfish.. great vid . From Canada all the best to and your family and God bless.
Most fishing videos I see are Bass related, and hey, Bass fishing is a whole lot of fun, I do quite a bit of it myself. Many times, Panfish get overlooked, but as this video shows, there's plenty of fun to be had when fishing for Panfish. That monster Bluegill was awesome! I'll be headed out to do some Panfish fishing this week. The cold spell we had has turned the Bass right off, but pushed some Crappie, Perch, and Bluegills back into a little bit shallower water. Going to give some of these tips a shot. Thanks for the great video!
The jig used in 6:09 I use all the time for bluegill, crappie, and bass also I caught a 1 pound bluegill,a 3 pound crappie, and bass ranging from 1 to 9 pounds on that jig.
Great Video NIck, I feel like I am in school and find myself taking notes, pausing and repeating sections of videos and looking at various gear you don't mention in a session. I would love to see a video or a post on your website that shows "Nick's favorite lures" for trout, Landlocked salmon, Sacramento river salmon. Maybe a separate section on your site for gear where you have rods, reels, lures and other gear. Thanks for bringing so much to the world of fishing!
My son and I really appreciate your videos because we are just starting our fishing adventures and we know nothing about fishing! We live in Bakersfield California and although I haven't seen any videos at our local lakes we can use your information anywhere. A suggestion would volunteer is that with all your videos and index or search option would help.
Been using UL lures for panfish for years. It is amazing how many lures/lure types are out there if you take the time to look. My favorite is a 1/16 oz spinner bait with a 1 inch twister tail on it. Johnson spoons also make a tiny weedless spoon that works great! Panfish are a great way to teach kids to fish as they bite just about anything. Tight lines!
Love your vids, gotta have my GF watch this one. She much prefers bluegill fishing to bass fishing. I did get a kick out of your "11 in the afternoon" comment, haha.
Man I'll tell ya, panfishing is a blast to me. The little guys have so much fight in them. I've always used worms, just now switching to lures to try out something new. Great video, thanks!
Well, the panfish here are quite small and rarely go for it. I've found a lot of the largemouths around here are liking those small baits though! Go figure!
Offentimes that what it take! LOL! 21.58 IN THE VIDEO. Just messing around as always great content and easy to understand. Thanks for all the time spent making the videos to make fishing more enjoyable for us !
Love your vids bro! I was fishing the sloughs a couple weeks ago, and saw the IF truck parked over by this lake, made me wonder if you lived there. My grandma lives on this lake, and I've fished it hundreds of times! Pulled some chunks outta there! I don't have a yak but I float the lake with a sweet paddleboat lol.. I'd love to fish the lake with you if you have some free time!
+InformativeFisherman nice! For sure bro, I try and keep that lake as private as possible! Keep up the good work and next time I'm on the lake I'll swing by!
+InformativeFisherman i see this big bluegill you catch I just wanted to say I catch the same or not bigger I know this sounds like I'm hating but I'm not I was just saying ur lake is not the only place they get big
IF is best of the best. I am mad at some of the Sacramento fishermen that dared to mock IF that, that day he was hooking smaller fish. IF has hooked gigantic fish as well, time and again, not any worse than the mockers, NOT ANY WORSE. Shame on you anybody daring their mouth on Nick, aka the IF. Not just knowledge, expertise, experience, IF has also a large large heart, for the kindness he is. Many people choose not to promote their business by telling their secrets. Nick is not one of them. Nick your name is immortalized in the written annals of California, and the rest of US fishing world, and now the whole WORLD. Yes your videos are watched from all over the world by anyone who is lucky enough to know English. You did the right thing, you are our USA celebrity now, literally and forever. Your name will be spoken with tremendous gratitude by the generations to come, anyone daring to mock, or speak against you is worth nothing more than fool's gold. Nick aka IF has proven it time and again, he is the real deal when it comes to fishing, he, his name equals real gold!
I never use live bait for pan fish, it's so boring that way and i can catch so many more during spring with small jigs rather than using live bait, i only use live bait for catfish and ice fishing
OK THANKS so much for the tips. Tried some of them out yesterday and caught more fish in a few hours than I did all summer LOL. DISCLAIMER-Before yesterday I was the world's worst fisherman.
You do videos right. All ready on the water fishing. Showing us lures and how to fish them no waste of my time keep up great work !
