Headshotmonkey007 2007 he screwed himself. 2010 wasn't his fault, Ferrari messed up the strategy. 2012, realistically he didn't really have that big of a chance, Vettels car was just too good
PNathan Well that is due to his poor decision, a bit of attitude and ego. If he is at his right mind and worked with Ham in 2007 he could easily be the champion that year and the following year (2008) and stayed at mclaren until that year. Then if just grab red bull's offer by late 2008 to drive for them at 2009. He could easily be the 4 consecutive champ and not Vettel. Then if just grab Mercs offer to drive for them after Nico retired then again he could be the 2017 Champ. So thats, 07,08,10,11,12,13,17 missed opportunities. He always decline good offer because either he thinks that the team is not competitive enough or he doesn't want to have a team mate that is as much competitive as he is. Now look where he is now.

In 2007 all he had to do was win brazil no one stopped him from doing that. All these alonso fans making excuses for every season he had a competitive car

Well, he has been unlucky as Jean Alesi was back then. Just by looking at his stats and looking at the way he tries to maximize the potential of the car he is driving, you can clearly see that he is ONE of the best drivers on the grid if not THE best. Also, in my opinion, he will be considered as a top driver, in general, for ever (if everything goes as planned he is probably going to win the 24H of Le Mans)

Fr talent wise he was the best, but apart from the Renault he never had a competetive car. It was amazing how he outperformed every car he drove especially the 2012 Ferrari was like the 3rd or 4th best car and he nearly won a Championship with it

i feel so bad for Alonso. Easily one of the best drivers on the 2018 grid but somehow his McLaren didn't perform upto the mark. In one specific race when Hamilton fell to the back Alonso put up a great defence against him but the straight line speed was no match for Lewis'.
Proves that he was a brilliant driver but his brilliance was limited by his average-performing, poor reliability car
