Usually I don't like alot of tourist videos and I even saw one woman's video completely putting our Lake down saying it was the nastiest, dirtiest lake in the world and her video was in the winter when the lake turned over and it was pouring rain! But Thank You for showing how Truly Beautiful My Home Is!!! Born and raised here 38 years
@@linkLoverAG Sry, but that's Not why they drained it! They drained it because the dam had Serious Leaks in it that were opening up quick and if it busted it would literally wipe Nashville Tennessee off the map!! My Grandpa helped build the dam when he came home during the early 40's from WW2 & the Korean War.
@@jasoneastham2546 I've heard that too. I've heard it was a bit of both. We have a summer mobile home in Russell Springs and a highlight was always going down to Alligator 1 and seeing how low the water was compared to the year before.
@@jasoneastham2546 It's a nice little dock. I always enjoyed walking waaaay down to the shore and picking up shale and skipping it into the lake. The rocks in Kentucky are PERFECT for rock skipping.
Im going for this memorial week we have a houseboat. Crazy question I will probably get blasted for but it's work-related. Is there any internet connection anywhere on the lake? Family gets to chill while pops gets to work to pay for all their chillin
Breathtaking view, hope to see it real time

It used to be very polluted but that's why they drained it for years and cleaned it up, then refilled it.

Do you need a permit to fly over this lake?
Love the view of the natural heritage...wish they would remove the marinas and power boats...let the river flow
If we could people from Ohio away it would be much better! Lol
