Love your eye for composition in shooting the video!! Great videography! You mentioned something about the universe calling you to the next stage of life. It’s more personal than that. There is a personal God who knew you before He formed you in the womb and He wants to be in an active Father/daughter relationship with you. He loves us more than even our earthly parents do or can, no fault of theirs.
You're a very talented filmmaker. Whether it's instinct or training, you know where to put the camera, you know structure and flow. You have a solid sense of framing and composition, excellent eclectic music choices. And you're very natural on camera. It took me a long time to be relaxed on camera. Perhaps you're the next Kathryn Bigelow. Well, whatever you are, that's what you'll be. Keep editing.
You have a great gift of making documentary style videos... Your narration and voice-over tone are spot on. Something to look into - and if you do, I hope it's an incredible story.
Hi LJ thank you so much for your kind words you made my week! So glad you enjoyed the video and hope you like the next one :D sending you all the positive vibes!!!
i wish this was 20 minutes longer!! i definitely relate to you vs. you in the ring, sometimes it's hard to realize that the only person stopping yourself from reaching your goals is you. once you get past that, so many doors open up. can't wait to continue watching your journey!!
@@taylorxmichele I’m a consultant who works with white collar business owners. Right now, many highly educated, certified, credentialed people are having challenges with their businesses.
Adding to your recent story about friends. To find friends, look for those with similar hobbies. If you like video games, a friend who prefers hiking or traveling might not be a good match. Since moving to the U.S. nine years ago, I’ve found that loneliness is common, especially as we age. In the U.S., people often have surface-level friendships based on work or shared hobbies. Many prioritize work and family over socializing. For deeper connections, consider befriending Latin American or Slavic people, or other….foreigners, who might find it easier to form genuine bonds.
Love this!! Yes you are so right especially as we age when responsibilities increase and priorities change! And you hit the nail on the head too because I’m remote wfh full time so you don’t get the same level of interaction that you would at an office with the occasional mixers and things too (but no commute!) I prefer those deeper bonds though they matter and can help us feel more grounded and to have that sense of community!! I appreciate your kind words and wisdom :)
Really?? 🥺🥺 wow thank you this means so much and glad you enjoyed the video!! I hope you stick around I’m happy to have you here in this little community!! 🌸
Oh man I resonate so highly with this...once I graduated college and started working full time, that thought of "there's gotta be more than this" was the loudest it's ever been. Fast forward to now 6 years later, I finally made the move to nyc for a new chapter of growth, independence, facing the unknown and following my passions of RUclips and photography. All we can do is take it one day at a time because this journey is truly unknown, but there's so much magic and beauty in trusting that process. Keep going!! Glad youtube recommended your channel to me, at 1am on a monday lol
I love how the images portray carefree moments, natural scenery, and beautiful cityscapes-- with plenty of smiles in between--while the narration tends toward self-reflection and self-doubt. The scenes of serenity belie a sense of seriousness that can overwhelm us as we pass through this "building" stage of life. I think this imagery encourages us to recognize that even as we doubt our steps, our worth, and whether what we're doing is getting us anywhere, that we're really where we need to be. That happiness and fulfillment is now, right in front of us, wherever we may be literally or metaphorically. Your gorgeous cinematography conveys that masterfully.
Hi Joey I LOVE your analysis so much I just wanted to keep reading what you have to say!!!! I am beaming and love to hear (or read lol) how you draw connections between the juxtaposition of light hearted scenes and introspection confronting feelings of self doubt / worth / the pursuit for inner fulfillment and search for deeper meaning I love “that happiness and fulfillment is right now, right in front of this” I love it aaah!! Lol I gotta print that out and tape it to the fridge!!! What a mic drop!! Thank you for watching, thank you for being here and for also being part of this little corner here on the internet with me :)
@@taylorxmichele Oh my gosh you're too kind! Thank you :) And I'm really sorry it took so long to get back to you--I just had a very hectic and stressful end of the week. You are so welcome, but I have to thank YOU! I'm flattered beyond words that what I wrote left you 'beaming', because I know I owe it all to you: I feel that my words are mere shadows dancing in the darkness, intercalated reflections of the sun-beams streaming from the glowing scenes that you create. They make shade to your sunshine, deepening as daylight turns to darkness like joyful moments fading into memories. I think your images and words evoke this stark contrast: lighthearted scenes accompanied by deep, often uneasy reflections that seem to invade them. But in fact, the contrast imparts a tinge of melancholy, which is not sad but sobering: We want to cling to happy moments but once they turn up in photos--no matter how beautiful--they no longer are. Our only choice is to seize those moments when they are here. Deeper meaning and fulfillment are found in simply recognizing these fleeting moments and living them to their fullest. So yes!!! the happiness and fulfillment we search for is actually right here, right in front of us! The images we create later--in our minds or in sumptuous cinematography like yours--are, after all, reflections and shadows which evaporate when the light--the moment--is gone. Thank you for providing this warm little spot to remind me of this :)
What an incredible Cinematic view of New York City !! I felt like I was getting a personal tour of that magical place you call home. I also listened intensely to your thoughts and feelings about wanting to do more with your music and artistic talents. I am confident you will find the time . 😊
I have the 9-5, the apartment, the weekends off. The usual grind gets tiring. I came back from a month long trip in Mexico and felt like a changed person, like there’s more to it than what we were supposed to do.

Girl, same. You’re my sister in NYC. I just started my RUclips channel in January, am 26 and find myself feeling like I’m so behind because I’m not a millionaire or successful creator like all the other people I see. I have so many passions & hobbies & get easily distracted from projects. I question if I have anything unique to offer that’s not already out there. I honestly get lonely too in this phase of becoming. I don’t have many friends anymore and my time is limited with my full time job. I question, is it worth it? Do I even have what it takes? What am I even good at: this video touched on all of that. Thank you creating & keep going strong chica❤
YES YOU DO! And yes it is worth it!!! And it is beautiful to be multi-passionate!!! I am still finding that balance too so it would be quite silly for me to try to give any advice there but I feel you 100%!!!! However this is a beautiful season of our lives we get the opportunity to choose what we want to focus on or explore what brings us joy vs what we can prioritize vs de-prioritize for the time being!! ❤️❤️ sending you all the positive vibes and glad you’re here :)
