  • This Wesleyan chapel was built in 1840 and could seat up to 900 worshippers at once. The building continued to be used as a place of worship until 2006 when it was closed and the building bought by the Wetherspoons pub chain.
Having spent £1m in renovating the site, the Chapel an Gansblydhen opened as a pub in 2008, with Wetherspoons stating that it would be one of their flagship establishments. By 2019 the site was set to close again, after Wetherspoons put it up for sale. Intervention by locals saw the pub taken off the market before finally being sold to the DND Group pub chain in early 2023.
By the end of 2023 the pub closed again and is back on the market "offers invited" www.rightmove....

What a shame. It would make a beautiful house for someone with the money 💰 Great video 👌

Thank you for your kind words. You’re right - it would make a great house in the middle of the town. 👍

Great video, as already said it would make a great town house for someone. Hope whoever buys it looks after it, is it a listed building?

      Thank you. ☺️
I don’t believe it is listed, which is a shame as it is a beautiful old chapel in the middle of the town.
