  • Coverage of the 2022 Arnold Strongman Classic, as re-broadcast on the CBS Sports Spectacular. Episode 3 of 4 in this series features the fourth event of the competition: The Timber Carry.
The 2022 Arnold Classic took place March 4th and 5th in Columbus, Ohio, and featured 10 elite international Strongman athletes, including Martins Licis (USA), Rob Kearney (USA), Oleksii Novikov (Ukraine), and the Stoltman brothers (Scotland). For the first time in a decade, no past Arnold champions were part of the field, meaning a first-time champ was guaranteed to be crowned.
In the Timber Carry, athletes must carry an 880 pound timber frame up a 35 foot ramp with a time cap of 30 seconds. Licis, Novikov and the Stoltmans were all expected to gain ground here, but it was Maxime Boudreault who put on the most impressive show.

These dudes, and this organisation, need more eyeballs.
Strongmen are real life super heroes, and frankly, deserve the big bucks.

@@ThatToast did you see what happened to JF? His part of the purse won't even cover travel let alone hospital and medical bills from that.

@@bmstylee You don't typically pay athletes assuming they all will get double quad tears do you? And odds are his insurance covered most of the medical bills

@@ThatToast not usually. However the compensation is generally linked to potential risk.
