@@Blackoutfor10days there is a weird link between Sahara being a desert and the existence of Amazon rainforest and the monsoon season in the Indian subcontinent. I'm sure you will find lots of legit stuff on this subject on the internet.

I visited Namibia with my Dad when I was a teenager and I've never been back even though Iv'e always wanted to. This has made me really regret leaving Africa.

Build swales along the dry river beds and when it rains, it will slow down the flow of the water, and replenish the aquifers. That's all I can think of when watching this video, still a beautiful sight

That river flows into the dessert and then disappear into the sand. It flows maybe twice a decade. Why can you not appreciate the beauty of the wilderness?

During the dry season I would carry a wet towel and the wild bees would follow the moisture trail in the air from downwind and suck up any moisture they could to replenish themselves as well as cool down their nests. During dry season its incredibly desolate. Nice one Goldschakal.

2:49 - The flowering amaryllis bulbs surrounded by water were a real surprise. This demonstrates why, when some of these are grown by gardeners, they have to be put through an imposed period of drought by not being watered, in order to bloom. That's their natural environment.

This video tapped so many emotions, from awe at the landscape to sympathy for the giraffes and all the animals born into a harsh life of struggle, to relief for the beetle on his lily, getting some needed moisture. A very satisfying four and a half minutes.

Beautiful landscape of namibia made me much pleased.
Erosion is truly amazing... The power of water is crazy... Not only is it a life blood... but it can be the ultimate destroyer.... It takes millions of years for water to carve rocks... But you can see those mountains and how they were eroded away.
