I know this is an old vid but I just stumbled across it. Ha. I "killed" my tech instructor more than once during dives. Thanks for the video. I got the warm fuzzies watching you and remembering my own good times.
@TheShaggedelic Well, actually I have been diving since 2000 (PADI rescue diver) was certified as TDI Andvanced nitrox&deco procedures tech diver since 2004. Certified as TDI advanced tmx diver in 2005, GUE fundamentals in 2007, GUE tech 1 diver since 2009. All together I think I have over 1500 dives.
Nice. Looks like fun. I haven't tried to manage as many bottles as you did but it would seem like the hip mounted bottles should be pushed further back. Hope you learned a lot and keep it up.
I did receive a lot of training including my Tech1 through GUE. However, I moved on as AG did and have received most everything through him. I'm planning on taking the my instructor IDC through UTD in this next year.
i just got out the water, diving with 2 stages. just a fun / train dive. max depth 16.9 m (55feet) diving with one stage, i don't really feel it anymore. 2 stages i notice the stages are there, but don't bother me. but when i try to put a 3th stage on, it gives me a little handicap in movement
What do you mean by different depths Very easy you take a trimix and a nitrox 50 and a nitrox 80 or 100% O2. You use your 50% as a travel gas and as a deco gas on your stops above 70 ft and your 80 or 100 for the shalow deco. In this way you don't need to take so may tanks.
steinkwadijk : Well, it all depends not at the "depth" but the time you would like to spend at the the certain death. Proper exploration requires time (extra gases that are being shared between a team) for a solo dive down to 150m for 1 min, you definitely don'y need that "many"
My comments were not directed at you, but directed to "steinkwadijk". We dive with 3-4 bottles on our dives also. Proper gas planning and decompression techniques require it depending on depth/time on a given dive. DIR training is the best I've ever had!
@aorr slowly slowly buddy - a) my comment is valid - and b) yes i do know what a bailout cylinder is. I do dive a homebuild eCCR as well as mCCR and hCCR. On a dive as descriped in this videoa I would use the follwoing bailouts - a) off-board dil 11 ltr 10/60 tmx - thsi would provide dil as well as deep bailout, b) travle bailtout - probable a 15/50 tmx 11ltr c) shallow bailout Nx 55 7 ltr. A rebreather incl. 3 tnks for bailout is majorly less stuff than 10 or so odd tanks for an OC rig.
@aorr so think before you assume that others dont understand ahwt they are talking about . we do that sort of diving (80+ meters ) over here in a regular basis, in fact i cant remember the last dive i did to less than 40meters. But hey only my .02 however i like the fact that my trimix bill per dive is around 10$ :-) not 600$ is it would be OC :-)
waterproofboots: No,no, I was just willing to dive 120 m deep (the "Maiden" wreck) and that was a very good lesson for me, I could see what skills do I lack to dive that deep you have to carry all the gases with you) so that was good for me to realize that's probaly too early to think about a deep one! Lol!
@banstec Dearest "Banstec"! There is some ïnformation" related to the video posted to those who fail to perceive this video correctly. (i.e. "for idiots") This video IS NOT a demonstration of any "kind of skills" you (Banstec or WTF is your name) are used to watch on youtube. This is my personal video, that doesn't claim it has to do anyrthing wirth "skills" or "drills" for those who has no money to apply for the course the course in order to learn "these skills" FREE OF CHARGE.
FuktigTrasa:# 3 After my futile attempt to "manage the multiple stageas"(WATCH THE VIDEO!) I agreed I was faraway from being "qualified"to dive this sort of depth. I hope youwon't ask me a stupid question "why". If that was the GUE guys I was diving with on board of Tala in 2008, then I would title this video like "Diving GUE style". I hope it's clear.
What if you're doing a 350' tech dive that requires 3 hours of deco? you'd only use a 70' and a 20' bottle?!?!?! The dives these guys are doing in the Red Sea is a little bit bigger than a 200' tech dive requiring only 2 deco gasses.
@banstec #3 I apologize in advance if I got it wrong and I am ready to admit I could be mistaken in my judgements but I'm really sick and tired of explaining that I did NOT upload this video for an "educational" purpose. If , by any chance, you want to learn how to dive "DIR" style, - just take a class otherwise everything you get from my videos will be just a "great demonstration of "nothing".
I did a dive with a buddy for fun took 4 stages. and it sort of worked out. not really perfect ;) but i think if you train more it is possible to do it perfect :)
UWPLANET : That was a JOKE. I am sorry I was not clear about it and that somehow I made you take this video clip "seriously". Of course it has nothing to do with UTD teaching.
@banstec #2 yOU ARE ONE OF THOSE WHO ARE LOOKING FO THESE "FREE OF CHARGE DRILLS", AREN'T YOU? If you are, please do NOT look for any "skills" in my videos. Simply because I do not believe that you can learn anything useful in regards of dive skills, etc that might improve your diving capacity by watching these sort of videos on youtube.
FuktigTrasa: Dear Fuktig! A person blaming me on "picking up on other organizations" to "promote my GUE shit" should be at least an IGNORANT MORON. I am the friend of UTD since 2008 and I am producing their promotional video too. Ahh, I bet you didn't ""know that", right?! So learn before you jump out with your ridiculous accusations that have nothing to do with me.
ma non c e un senso di progressione di utilizzo nel posionarle?? o l importante e aggrapparsi sto grappolone in qualche modo?? e la famosa idrodinamicita tanto ricercata nei corsiprecedento dove va afinire?? non vi capisco mi spiace

It's always hard to share training videos, looks like you did just great! I gotta say, that's some great camera work too. Love the 360 view going on.
LOL, I enjoyed this video. That was a sh*t load of tanks all at once. Great music and camera view as well.

Since one of the divers in the video is me... I completely agree with you! (LOl!)

idevers: That' was a joke, my dear. That's me in the video diving with Faisal (Tala) G!
simonnattrass: That's "Cafe del Mar", I don't remember the name of the track, I will try to find it out...
Nice video, thanks for sharing!
Oh yes, the grace and freedom of the weightless underwater environment :)))
Just joking ;)
A bit more training and you will manage it without a problem... It is always dificult at the beginning, but it gets easyer with every dive!
boomx6: That's very good, I believe you will get a very good training with AG and UTD.
thats why man invented rebreathers
srgsbdbal: Yes, that was "pretty extreme" (lol) I am glad you liked the video!
haha, S drill at the end was sweet =D
noantsproductions: No,no... That's just a joke!
That is what I would think also, but the poster of this video seems to imply so...

Your doing good. Not that bad at all.
how many hours of diving did u get before going for tec?
@banstec #3 I apologize in advance if I got it wrong and I am ready to admit I could be mistaken in my judgements but I'm really sick and tired of explaining that I did NOT upload this video for an "educational" purpose. Why would you want to dive so many stage tanks. Air Hawk?
sometimes i feel "1" bottle too heavy and too bulky, as diving under 30 meter sotimes is just darker, colder and more dangerous. my respect ^^
I did a dive with a buddy for fun took 4 stages. and it sort of worked out. not really perfect ;) but i think if you train more it is possible to do it perfect :)
Overseas media, how do you know this is from a UTD course?
Nuno, a re you kidding me??
LOL how can you do it perfect with so many stages? :D i can handle 2, never had more than 2 gonna try that just for fun.
UWPLANET : That was a JOKE. I am sorry I was not clear about it and that somehow I made you take this video clip "seriously". Of course it has nothing to do with UTD teaching.
@Drew7886: touché :)))
d5kenn : Thanks a lotfor the comment!
boomx6 : when you say "DIR" do you mean GUE?
lol, the guy in training definitely needs much more training :-)))
GOneScUBa: Thanks a lot darling! I don't think I did it with a lot of grace though...! (lol)
oomx6: Sure! Whats' your point?
looks very hard to do.....

liberalc, Oh YEAH....! Freedom! looks like fun but feels like shit, LOL!
steinkwadijk : so why do you think these guys take "too many tanks", are they crazy? Stupid? Uneducated?
whats happing here ? sorry im not a tec diver
