And the only reason Game 2 was close was because of Jansen. Had someone more effective closed the game, it would have stayed 3-6.
Dodgers are very good but if the Padres had their 2 best pitchers I think we could have at least got it to a game 5

Padres fans got INSANELY cocky this year, inexplicable since their franchise hasn’t ever really done anything. I liked their team a lot but some fans were unbearable. Glad LA humbled them.

It was such an amazing feeling watching my Dodgers sweep the Padres, just like a few years ago when ARIZONA thought they were better than us only to get swept in the playoffs by us.
Only difference is unlike the padres, the dbacks were an actual challenge in the regular season, they swept us twice In September.

The umpire not calling outside pitches strikes for his guy but calling it for the Dodgers. It happens earlier in the game
tatis got a ball called a strike and then later mookie got the same pitch tatis got and it was called a ball and then in the very next pitch mookie drove in some runs so thats why he got mad

Hell yeah!!! I’ve been living in SD since 2015 and I’m from LA. MAN! My coworkers, 15 out of 6 are padre fans and the rest of us are dodgers. They’re from SD as well. It felt so good to see the dodgers sweep these guys and humble them! They honestly didn’t have a chance.

Two formidable teams, and remember, this was the Padres with an injured Clevinger and without Lamet, while the Dodgers were missing a recipient of the Cy Young Award with David Price sitting out the season. Imagine how amazing these two teams would be if Clevinger, Lamet, and Price played at their full capabilities.
The way the Dodgers were playing I still think a sweep would have been possible. At his best Clevinger is a #2 pitcher and that is his absolute peak mind you, and then Lamet is an unproven big game pitcher. Not saying they can’t turn this whole series around but I would have to see it to believe it. Padres played tough and I am happy to have a team like them in the NL West to keep the Dodgers on their toes. The best seasons for LA have come when they are challenged in their division. Can’t wait to see how these teams face each other in the years to come
Both Padres and DBacks got payback on my Dodgers in the NLDS, after the Dodgers beat them in the Division Series in 2017 and 2020.
