  • Hello and welcome to your channel! #camping #rain #survival #iceprince
    In today's video, we're embarking on an exciting camping adventure. First, I'll show you how to create a beautiful campsite. We'll start by preparing the ground, ensuring it's flat and comfortable for camping.
    Next, we'll move on to building the walls of our campsite. We'll use stones to create a sturdy foundation, followed by adding wooden planks for a rustic touch.
    Once the walls are in place, we'll work on constructing the roof to provide shelter and protection from the elements.
    Finally, we'll put the finishing touches on our campsite to make it cozy and inviting for a night under the stars.
    I'm excited to take you through each step of this camping project, and I hope it inspires you to create your own beautiful outdoor retreat.

    That little pack is so adorable on your dog! Dog doesn't realize he is doing you a favor. He has to be in on everything, and good for him. A good dog is nosy.

    • @Elyas.bushcraft
      @Elyas.bushcraft  9 месяцев назад +3

      I completely agree! Dogs have a natural curiosity and an eagerness to be involved in everything their human companions are doing. It's part of what makes them such wonderful and loyal companions. They may not always realize they're helping, but their presence and enthusiasm can make any task more enjoyable. Plus, that little pack does look adorable on them!

    Your a beast bro pushing that fallen stump back over with ease! Also great craftsmanship, interlocking the joints like that makes for a structure that will probably outlive the trees its in!

    • @Elyas.bushcraft
      @Elyas.bushcraft  3 месяца назад +1

      Thank you for your kind words! Crafting sturdy joints is indeed essential for the longevity and structural integrity of the shelter. It's great to hear that you appreciated the craftsmanship and the effort put into pushing the fallen stump back into place. Building with care and attention to detail can certainly lead to structures that stand the test of time. If you have any more observations or questions, feel free to share!

      I don’t remember a time in my life I didn’t have a dog, (66 years)
      I was crippled with early onset of arthritis about 20 years ago and can hardly walk anymore. I grew up in the woods and made shelters all the time, not as elaborate as yours but still enough to keep warm and dry. I watch you and others and all I can do now is live vicariously through your outdoor actions and thank you.
      I’ll keep watching and good luck. Give your dog a hug for me.

      I'm glad that you can enjoy outdoor adventures vicariously through videos like mine. Nature has a way of inspiring and soothing our souls, even when we can't physically be there ourselves. I'll certainly give my dog a virtual hug for you.

    • @Elyas.bushcraft

      How long it takes to build a shelter like the one in the video can vary greatly depending on factors such as the experience of the builder, the availability of materials, the complexity of the design and the tools used., that one took a month. I live in Sweden and it rains a lot here.
      Thanks for your well wishes, and I hope you have a great week too!

      Living close to nature and embracing a more self-sufficient lifestyle can be a dream for many people. Here are some steps you might consider taking to move closer to that dream:
      Research and Education: Learn as much as you can about sustainable living, bushcraft, wilderness survival, and other relevant topics. There are many resources available online, in books, and through courses that can help you gain the knowledge you need.
      Practice Skills: Start practicing bushcraft and outdoor skills whenever possible. This might include camping trips, hiking, foraging, or even just spending more time in nature.
      Plan and Prepare: If you're serious about making this lifestyle change, create a plan for how you'll transition from your current situation to living closer to nature. This might involve saving money, acquiring land, building a shelter, or developing skills that will be useful in a more self-sufficient lifestyle.
      Connect with Like-Minded People: Join online communities or local groups of people who share your interests in bushcraft and sustainable living. You can learn a lot from others who are already living the lifestyle you aspire to.
      Take Small Steps: You don't have to make drastic changes all at once. Start by incorporating small aspects of bushcraft and self-sufficiency into your life and gradually build from there.

    i have never seen someone put so much physical strength into a build like that. absolutely fabulous end result but you really need to be careful with all this heavy lifting and so much sawing with that tiny bucksaw. please get a BigBoy and save some energy. however, THANK YOU for this fantastic video.

    A small Saw suits him. Did you see the large cargo, he was carrying on his make. Also a smaller saw the more control in my opinion. When I need a Chainsaw, then I use it!😊

    • @Elyas.bushcraft
      @Elyas.bushcraft  4 месяца назад

      Using a smaller saw can actually provide more control and precision, especially for detailed tasks like crafting or building in the wilderness. It's also important to consider the practicalities of carrying gear during outdoor adventures. If a smaller saw meets the needs efficiently, it can be an excellent choice. 😊🛠️🌲

    Nice shelter and it's not the size of the saw that matters but how you swing your axe

    • @Elyas.bushcraft
      @Elyas.bushcraft  9 месяцев назад

      You're absolutely right! The size of the tools you use is not the only factor that determines the success of a project. Skill, technique, and experience are equally important, if not more so. A skilled craftsman or outdoors enthusiast can achieve a lot with the right technique and know-how, even with modest-sized tools.
      In the case of building a shelter in the outdoors, using an axe effectively, along with knowledge of the right types of wood and construction methods, can result in a sturdy and functional structure. It's not just about the tools you have; it's about how you use them and the care and attention you put into the work.
      I'm glad you appreciate the shelter, and your comment highlights the importance of skill and technique in outdoor endeavors.

    Love This Unique Build! However; IMO, WAY To Skimpy On The Woven In Roof Supports Plus An Octagon Shaped Structure And An Octagon At The Roof Apex Would Have Been Both Stronger And More Aesthetically Pleasing Too Plus More Efficient/Practical For Floor Space.

    • @Elyas.bushcraft
      @Elyas.bushcraft  3 месяца назад +1

      It sounds like you have some great ideas for enhancing the shelter design! Indeed, adding more woven roof supports and an octagon shape could improve both the structural integrity and visual appeal of the shelter. Experimenting with different shapes and support configurations can lead to more efficient and practical designs. Thank you for sharing your thoughts! If you have any other ideas or questions, feel free to share.
