Leah Heaney It is not publicly known whether Jennifer Aniston was already a smoker when Friends began in 1994 or not. However, from about ‘95-96 it did become known she was a smoker. Then, when Jennifer got together with Brad Pitt in 1998 she became a really heavy smoker, as can be seen on all the images on Google. There is no doubt it was stress related too, besides being known as a very sensitive and very emotional person trying to fit in with the Hollywood elites etc.
This so old now, it's kinda fascinating. My kids are finding Friends on Netflix now and I forgot how much of my 90s it was. I love this interview. I love how the guys help each other out when the question is difficult or they don't want to answer.
4:20 normally I don't believe rumours like that but since I heard about the one that Perry has always been in love with Cox I found it pretty believable. There are quite a lot of moments where you can definitely see his affection/admiration for her. And this is kind of beautiful and sad at the same time.

People smoke for different reasons. I respect them all equally as I think everyone should be treated equally (unless they've committed a horrible crime that completely despicable)
Chandler Bing I just feel sorry for David, getting teased about his dry throat that was literally everyone else's fault. Funny, though: even though I didn't know they were all smokers but him, I do remember thinking the girls all had a sorta raspy tinge to their voices, and wondering if that was partly why those three were cast, heh.
aDotFromTheFuture I know it was just a running joke to them, but the man was suffering the effects of their secondhand smoke over 10 years, so despite not meaning to, it was like they were adding insult to injury by teasing him about a health problem that was their fault.
