Normally I dont leave a comment but this episode hit me. This is such an interesting topic to me. After the episode about motherhood I was very curious about you Guys and starting to listen to the other episodes. What I noticed this time is that this is a very sensitive topic to you Tahiry. This is why you keep talking non stop. Like breathe child! Let it be a conversation and give D’Nay B the room to tell about herself too. And leave room to ask certain questions about the things to get more in dept. This was just you ranting and D’Nay B talking to a wall because she couldnt find the space to interrupt and say what she wanted to say.
This is Just feedback as a listener. Tahiry, I totally understand where it comes from, but please just take a deep breathe and meditate. Live in the here and now. You are living so fast, I dont think you take the chance to enjoy the little things with men. What you described about your first date is amazing and you have all the right to ask that, cause you deserve that queen but life is not a movie. Him doing all that doesnt say anything. Just like D’Nay B said it can start small and he can later prove himself. Give him some time to do all that.
There is a lot of trauma underneath where you now know your value and have boundries which is really good but it can also be too much as a mechanism to protect yourself. I recognize myself so much in you thats why I say all of this. I totally understand where this comes from. After I had almost 4 year of intens therapy about this topic I went to the Root of the problem and that saved me. Now I met the most amazing guy ever and he thinks that of me too. And it didnt start with that fancy date, it started with him bringing food to my house because he knew that was my love language. Its the little things.
Your partner is there waiting for you. Able to give you everything you want, but first you need to dig deep and ask yourself what you want. Is it the fancy dinner or you Just want to feel seen? Is it the luxury or the fact that hè did the effort? It can be done in so many ways. You got this woman, he will come! Just be honest to yourself and dont be to harsh. It’s all okay and you deserve love too.
