Man Spotify has turned me on to so many good bands even though they don’t pay them shit. I found Beach Fossils on Spotify two years ago and they instantly went into the permanent rotation. Such an easy listening but emotionally charged vibe.
I moved away from NYC a few years back and left someone really special behind- our favorite all-time concert was your Halloween show at Brooklyn Steel back in 2017. Still miss that life everyday, but at least Beach Fossils will always port me back. Love y'all.

She's on novacaine "It's all I need to ease the pain" --> 1. Lead singer could be mocking the other person; this leads to multiple sub-interpretations: 1.1 Lead singer recognizes novacaine (or presumable subsequent drug use) could be addictive; 1.2 Lead singer does not think other person will get better; 1.3 Lead singer might not think drug use is the best way to 'regulate' 'pain'; 2. Lead singer could be singing the other person's common reason for using novacaine: we don't quite know. "Don't fade away" --> 1. Don't use novacaine (to 'fade'; common term for getting 'high'); 2. Don't lose yourself (ie, ability to control oneself or personality); 3. Don't get high "I knew you would, anyway" --> 1.
