I've always loved Motley Crue and especially Mick Mars, I've never tried to play them on guitar because I couldn't find that sound .. Oh yeah.. after all these years I finally found it..
Thanks for that Mark. i have a mild motley story- now i am from Los Angeles - long beach specifically - and was a musician from about age 14 on. Nothing great. but as a young high schooler we would, or I would, read my BAM and modern drummer during classes (I would have graduated in '85 to give you an idea of my age and I finished the year but did not graduate and since went to med school go figure :-) ) but around '83 we would see motley in the BAM and such and surrounded by all this devilish candelabras and high heels and so on, and then one day my neighbor Rob, a well connected punk rocker, but a year older and he was very nice to me as we lived 2 houses apart and both played drums. one day he brings this cassette over and says he got it at a motley crue show. He wasn't into it but thought I would be and oh my goodness it was one of the first 500 cassettes and my oh my did we love it and me and my guitar player steve played it day in and day out carrying our "ghetto blaster" even on our bikes. BUt the contrast to me was what really got me as the music was tough, but also soft at times, and the powerful and yet here they looked mean and evil yet the music was a contrast Well anyway just loved it! the 80's in LA were awesome. Tommy used to come all the time to Joshuas parlor in garden grove and we'd go just to see this lanky tall dude walk around
Man you're one lucky guitarist. I love Mötley Crüe and wish I was in a Crüe tribute band. You must have a lot of fun brother! If I lived near Michigan I'd come see your band.
Mark you are a fantastic guitar teacher and you make it look so simple i have watched all your lessons thank you for spending the time would love to see a lesson on some of the songs off the first album if you get the time ...
ALWAYS USED THAT GUITAR SHAPE IN GUITAR HERO YEARS AGO! GOOD TIMES! LOVE THAT BODY SHAPE! IM A V GUITAR GUY AND A STRAT STYLE GUY ( own many Jackson guitars. A king V a soloist Rhoads (all USA models) I’m thinking about maybe getting a guitar like u got here! Awesome! This song got a awesome guitar tone and is real fun to play 🤘🏼
Hell yes it would be cool, thank you bro. I already learned these songs by ear ages ago but, there are a few technical differences that I have omitted along the way. So, yes an old dog can learn new tricks. Thanks again, and good luck "too" you my man!
Thanks for the awesome tutorial! I’ll try to practice this in between studying for my finals! By the way I love the poster of Randy Rhoads and Ozzy in the background 🤘
although your no longer a part or this band your still kick ass on guitar great video and lesson nice rich too thank you for having this video out i absolutely love mick mars thanks again
Actually easier to learn this tune your way. I watched that Satsuma kid play the opening riff, and he played the chords in different places on the fingerboard. It wasn't quite clear to figure out what he was doing.
When ever teaching a song, please play the riff/lick first, makes a huge difference for the learner. Mick Mars (imo) is a great guitar player, yeah his lead are pretty sloppy but I just love his style, he def stands out from the pack.
+Iron Feliks What up Detroit! Thanks for watching and for stopping by to say what's up! I will say that I am NO longer a part of this band. The only original member is the bassist who is the reason all the original members left :)
This sucks I can’t see where it how hes picking and he dosent even tell you iv been trying this for hours and it’s so confusing idc it came out 8 years ago stepping back 2 feet existed back then
Its so hard to take him serioisly, bc rich makes terrible guitars that jjst look "cool" abd hes playing out of a solid state marshall half stack. Gear total 2000 dollars. Maybe
@@pvtlehto It's better to remain silent and have people "think" your an idiot than say something and prove them right. You pricing the gear used.... ROTFLMAO. Ask your mom how much it cost as she put it on her credit card. She's a fan :)
when you look at this guitar lessons, you also realize how good guitar players are, for example, mick mars !!!!
I always love seeing a B.C. Rich Warlock in action!!!
I like that Randy Rhoads poster in the back!
This is such an awesome riff.
I've always loved Motley Crue and especially Mick Mars, I've never tried to play them on guitar because I couldn't find that sound .. Oh yeah.. after all these years I finally found it..
Nice tutorial, great sound! I’ve loved this song since I was 12...now 47 I’m just learning how to play it!

I love that little walk down you do on the A string instead of the power chords. The single string is way cool.
Saw Crue in 1984 Monsters of rock Donnington, United kingdom I love your American bands, Vai, malsteen etc great tune.

Concise lesson. I haven't played this song since the late 80s. I'm re-learning a lot of stuff I forgot how to play. Now on to the solo....
Thank you so much for your Motley lesson. Very very cool. You do it very well!

Liam Reuter you're very young.... I can tell
OG Productions is it the way I talk or did you watch my videos
Liam Reuter hey I just watched your videos and you're actually good, you have an awesome taste in music man
Liam Reuter subscribed
What is the real tuning for all the strings? I am a beginner.
Tuned down whole step. Wow, you really are a beginner. Train your ears to get better.
Don’t sweat that guys. Tune every string down a whole step
Thanks, that was awesome. I appreciate it.
Do i have to play in drop D ?
D tune... not drop D big difference. Drop D is only the lowered E string D tune Is all the strings a step down
Song is great, specially by mötley crue!
Now you know where metallica got until it sleeps from. The riffs are obviously similar.
Actually easier to learn this tune your way. I watched that Satsuma kid play the opening riff, and he played the chords in different places on the fingerboard. It wasn't quite clear to figure out what he was doing.
I saw that too.. it was easier to just watch Mark. Lol.. both are great vids though...
Detroit has the coolest rock people.

Yes make the song your own ..unless your trying to make it exact..
Lmao..this just made me realize...I suck at playing
Your twist is absolutely bitchin!!!!
my bad im stone sorry
👍👍👌
Where the fuck can I find a bc rich?they discontinued it and remove it from every online site (thomann, peach guitar etc) why the fuck?
I'm not gonna like cause there's 666 LiKeS already
Detroit guy here! What up????!!!!!!
+Iron Feliks What up Detroit! Thanks for watching and for stopping by to say what's up! I will say that I am NO longer a part of this band. The only original member is the bassist who is the reason all the original members left :)
F*ck him, go start a professional band so later the bass player can start a tribute band of your band!
Cool, but what you're playing over the verse is wrong. Clearly it changes notes with a passing tone in between. He in no way just rides that A
Noticed same thing. But
Still cool of the guy to share his knowledge. Almost right. ;)
This sucks I can’t see where it how hes picking and he dosent even tell you iv been trying this for hours and it’s so confusing idc it came out 8 years ago stepping back 2 feet existed back then
This song is from the too fast for album Thanks
No it's not
It's not, it's off of Love At First Sting
SAaa Wuut.? L A First. Sting Is Scorpions...Too Much LSD Mann..
Shout at the Devil my man
😴
Y u speaking so slowwww
He took a few xanex so what
bla bla bla bla bla y mas bla bla
Your twists don't do it for me. Stick to the original. Makes it sound like you don't know what your doing
I may sound like I don't know what I'm doing, but the sounds your mom makes tells me otherwise
I wish you'd quit talking so much and just play the song
u do to much sliding for me
Its so hard to take him serioisly, bc rich makes terrible guitars that jjst look "cool" abd hes playing out of a solid state marshall half stack. Gear total 2000 dollars. Maybe
Agree on BC Rich guitars are pure shit, but that JVM behind him is tube, very expensive.
@@damone70 regardless, a jvm and a bc rich go together like kids and windowless vans
