Nothing can beat this. Been using this for More than a decade now. It has henna with khus ,the top note gives the lingering smell of crushed henna leaves.

@@PerfumeGuru yes, Jean Paul guerlain was the last master perfumer in the guerlain family, and he was beleved to use tinctures extensively. I have tested my theory too, just use a henna dominant shamama , or( use 15℅ attar gul henna with shamama and tinctured henna paste) dilute the mixture in perfumers alcohol with ++ eau de toilette concentration mix a drop or two of vetiver (1 preferably) , doc you'll get a composition 95℅ similar to this classic.
I brought Guerlian Vetiver after watching this...to be honest the first few times I used it I didn't liked it. But after 3rd time I fell in love with it...I just crave it now. Just mesmerized by the dry down with beautiful sandalwood. This is unique yet elegant and stands out as a class. This is legendary without a doubt. I think it is among my top 3 now. Other 2 in my top 3 are Rasasi - La yuqawam and Versace - Dreamer...thanks Nikhil Bhai you inspire me.
Please do a review of Versace Dreamer if you like it as well. Same exp I had with Dreamer as well, I didn't liked it for first few times I used it but then I got addicted to it...I think it needs more acknowledgement in the community.

I have this, it’s a masterpiece. Its a pleasing vetiver(khus) very unlike traditional itr. Leaves a great trail
If you can order some Haitian Vetiver oil. You will love it. It's devoid of the musky root smell.

Hello sir... Hope u have amazing time...!! I bought this perfume during my residensy time... At that time i was searching vetiver based fragrance, and i chose this one... At that time i was not aware of this channel and also didn't reviwed on this channel...!! Truly amazing.... No words for this vetiver fragrance....!! Funny thing is I couldn't pronounciated Guerlain.... But i bought!! I can't stop laughing how I used to call this fragrance when some of my friends asked at that time...!! Thank u for correct pronunciation....!!! But this perfume does not last long as per my opinion
I bought Guerlain vetiver from perfume decants. Meine 5-6 spray lagaya mujhe khud bhi khusbhoo nhi aari 😶 You saying 24 hours longevity but it can't last more than 10 min 😢

Recently bought CK eternity EDP and Dolce n Gabbana the one EDT, lovely both of em, EDP performance is great

I normally apply ruh khus and then layer it with Guerlain vetiver or Hermes Intense vetiver
I would also recommend Eau Sauvage Parfum. Amazing Vetiver and Incense like Elemi. One of my signatures.

I recently bought OUD attar from Ajmal Mumbai smell is just wow best attar i got until now this attar will stay 9 to 10 hrs in skin best for summer mostly when you go out in summer the woody smell will start spreading out just try ajmal oud 500rs for 12ml

Why is Guerlain vetiver being potrayed as a summer’s scent ?

Bought this after your review. I got the old bottle today, Jan'23. Got the similar looking bottle as you have. Now I see a square shaped bottle with new notes. Orris is something which is now added in newer formulation (saw notes breakdown in fragrantica). Can you please review the newer version of Guerlain Vetiver and do a comparison with the one you have, if you don't mind? It would be great to have to your thoughts on this.

Well, I had purchased Guerlain Vetiver EDT 100 ml from Shoppers Stop last week. It’s a 2020 batch bottle. Though the smell is just awesome, I find that in this hot and humid weather of Kolkata, the fragrance is lasting for just about 3 or less hours. A few hours after that, it’s almost untraceable. I tried both on skin and clothes with upto 10 sprays, but still the same result. Feeling really disappointed! Do you or anyone else here has any experience with this 2020 batch? Has it been watered down or reformulated? Would like to hear your thoughts on this. Thanks!
That's really strange brother. I wore it recently in Dubai 45 deg heat. It lasted all day and I could smell it.

I am using 2021 batch currently and it stays 7-8 hours perfectly, later on projection goes down and yes it's not a great projector and may be that's not the point of this perfume

You can try Grey vetiver although not close to Guerlain but very good, also Encrenoir Sport will satisfy you in Kolkata summer ,if you need smoother blend can try Sycomore, if want dark then Private Label, original Encre noire/A l'extreme, vetiver 46 , Eau Savauge parfum, Penhalligon , Sultan Vetiver is also nice but I am still learning, Terre de Hermes/Different company for orangy feel and if you need authentic then Ruh Khus no other option but it's rooty woody deep but relaxing and after an hour or so stays close to you not for projection it's for own appreciation and learning

It does have that earthy tone but never felt cooled enough in Delhi's temperature or in Goa's weather..
I always layered it with a rose or rose oud or basil n mint notes attar or perfume..
