I remember the trailer that showed off a lady in a winter forest, and there was a deer eating a wolf, indicating it was infected. I am hoping UndeadLabs will expand on the infected, and considering what we saw at 1:38, it looks like U.L. is gonna most likely add more enemy types. I’m hoping we will get wildlife in the game. Like maybe coyotes, deer, wolves, and maybe raccoons that can either be normal or infected, because they can be a food source, and an enemy at the same time, which would be cool. Overall, despite the flaws State of Decay 2 had, with the updates that made it better, I’m overall excited to see what the third installment has to offer. I hope we’ll be able to barricade windows, because we were never able to do it in the second, despite having the ability to do it in the first.

This is the only thing worth playing out of everything that was shown and still no date reveal, Legit Im going to die of old age by the time this is released.
My most wanted feature is multiple bases at once. Gives you a chance to make the map feel more alive. Maybe multiple leaders for each base. Set up trade routes and things of that nature. Or maybe just expand on the NPC communities more and give them more utility. I love both State of Decay games so either way I am very excited.

@@AztekWarrior9 the blood plague can only exist near the plague hearts... so maybe the plague hearts just didn't infect this area? or maybe state of decay 2 story is canon and they were wiped out (for now)... either way even in SoD2 the plague zombies weren't everywhere unless you played on hardest setting

The wanted to make an mmo hoped they scraped that idea. I hope it large and has the option for shared worlds like grounded did allowing your friends to join in and have thier own base with thier own piropos. It would be interesting to keep your community and your friends community alive while they are offline

FURTHERMORE, they actively ensure updates that IMPROVE THE GAME not just shareholder hang-ups. As stated previously, they're an Indie dev team, they care.
I really hope for a larger map than the first games with a large urban city to explore and search for ressources and supplies. And then many smaller towns and rural areas where you will establish your base and so on. The city is a high risk setting but can offer large rewards. Something like that
Urban maps have been asked by the community for a very long time but so far we only get Lifeline in SoD1, and that's a very limited urban environment players get to explore. I just hope for SoD3 the team can have additional manpower to make this come true.

It is too taxing on hardware with little return. And also they don't really see communities flourishing in a city with potentially hundreds of thousands of undead.
Huge 180 from the first trailer. Still excited, but disappointed that the zombified deer didnt play a role, and that the winter idea seemed to be scrapped. Those were the two parts I was most excited for besides base game improvements.

That's not what the trailers we got to see different playstyles, new guns, new freaks/animals,new maps. From the looks of trailer 1, we got the solo playstyle, snowy map, and infected animals. Trailer 2 we got more open playstyle involving different groups might be at least more than 4 co-op, the radios on our characters which will make it more realistic, more darker smokey map, new guns and melee weapons, different executions and the freaks are looking cleaner, plus the cars are going to be better different
So it's kind of like a puzzle with different trailers and filling in the pieces, also building up the hype, plus the state of decay team confirmed that only a small team is working on SOD3 while the rest continue to improve SOD2

I’m not tryna to loot a skyscraper and office buildings filled with screamers and ferals …state of decay is based on county’s and small towns like Montana (Far cry 5) themed and by the looks at the game it’s gonna have a a lot of forest maps similar to Province ridge

I was only 12 when I played State of Decay 1, which inspired me to bring about a love of zombie games, and now that it's been over a decade, I hope we can hurry up and see a new generation of State of Decay that breaks out of Generation 2 in terms of both storyline and gameplay

One of my fondest memories in this game is playing with 2 buddies. We each grabbed cars and drove down a road honking our horns to get attention from zombies. I was in the middle of the caravan. My game started rubber banding and clipped the friend ahead of me, then clipped my friend driving behind me. Our cars all exploded and we had a great laugh. Still rocking SOD2 in 2024 and we all still laugh about it whenever we're partying.
I know it probably won't happen, but it would be cool to get some confirmation on what happened to Marcus, Ed, and Maya after SOD1, seeing as how we don't really know much after they left the valley. I'm not asking for them to show up, as much as i would like that, more so just to get some answers.
They did a lore stream recently and talked about it. Their answer was that they wish that the 3 are alive, but they also don't want to decanonize each players different story so they opt to leave the big characters futures vague. The reason is obviously each player could have lost markus, ed or maya in sod1. I personally enjoy their appraoch of leaving it vague but that can leave some people(if not most) frustrated craving for more answers.
I want so bad a mode where you play as one character only, worrying about your survival as an individual and not being attached to a base, a mode where you can wander and live day by day on your own.
What I would like to see in State of Decay 3 is sense in State of Decay 2 you have a doctors that are working on serums and stuff if they're going to have zombified animals if there's any way to like rescue a wolf or something and make a companion to go on maneuvers that would be awesome
they will NEVER allow us to make our own character... as it defeats the purpose of the game (their own words)... even if you did make a character it would most likely be lost at some point anyways... characters are not permanent.. making a character goes against their view of the game where characters are meant to die... even if i would love a character creation anyways its already been stated that it will never happen as its a waste of development time (also their words)

dude they made 37 big updates over the past years. Most of em free. I kinda stopped palying after it originally dropped but picked it back up recently. They added so much it is a completely new experience.

While I support modding it will always be a gamble if the mods break or not. That is the silent agreement you agree to when using mods. Most games have ToS that forbid you from using mods. This is a standard across the industry. You are not entitled to your mods working. And Game Dev's aren't forced to keep mods alive. Is it nice if they do it. A la Larian? Yes. But it is not a requirement.
Main things that need to be addressed in multiplayer : No Multiplayer tether, allow us to choose to either donate to our friend or put in our storage (as it currently sits this is these 2 things are the number 1 thing to be addressed IMO) , Fully build your own base or at least given freedom how to arrange your existing base (where the building slots go etc.), Please for the love of god make weather a thing I've just come off a stint of playing games with cool rain and other weather effects would love to see it in SOD3, and lastly for me IMO id love to see wildlife appropriate to the area and there Zed Counter parts nothing makes a walk through the forest more terrifying then the chance of running into a zed deer or squirrel or something like that. At any rate cant wait to get my hands on this one.
Not gonna lie, this trailer is pretty boss! But those character models look sus. They're giving me heavy DEI vibes. And the fact that they killed off my home boy melee dude (who appears to be the only white male)... Mmmh, I dunno. I dunno man. As long as they include an option to make our own characters, with some more Roleplaying elements, like the ability to choose our skills, and such... I'll be satisfied!
They actually added a update to adress that. Enclaves will now clean up and decorate the houses they stay in and outpusts will get the same treatment. I replayed the game randomly after a year long hiatus from it and immediatly noticed it.
@@VictorHTL-f7g yes you actually notice it when you get rid of an enclave (Kinda janky but the changes the enclave made will reset instantly). The house will get roughened up again and the enclaves will set up some signs I don't think all places that can have an enclave will be able to do those changes but houses are usually changing. Outposts take a small bit but they also get some additional cleaning and minor upgrades you will notice it better if you have a reliable powersupply. The Outposts will light up at night.
I'd love if they expand on the base building aspect. I want to build anywhere and not restricted to a certain plop. I always dream of a State of Decay game with Project Zomboid level of mechanics, but I don't think anyone is going to make that game anytime soon.
With that mentioned: Relationships. Allow survivors to create relationships while you are in and outside of the base. Friends, rivals, romance. To where people will interact, and react differently to random situations.
Having to build my base from the ground up would be nice. The Jurassic junction is a great base and would love to build a base like that again. I don’t want to find a base. I want to build it.

Most of people don't see the "Fov" thing in the trailer where there was a part that the fov of driving the car is in first person, i think there is some kind of options that you can choose for fov in sod 3

There’s not it’s been talked about that no cities, or motorcycles are coming to the game.. I’m not tryna to loot a skyscraper and office buildings filled with screamers and ferals …state of decay is based on county’s and small towns like Montana (Far cry 5) themed and by the looks at the game it’s gonna have a a lot of forest maps similar to Province ridge

I was only 12 when I played State of Decay 1, which inspired me to bring about a love of zombie games, and now that it's been over a decade, I hope we can hurry up and see a new generation of State of Decay that breaks out of Generation 2 in terms of both storyline and gameplay

One of my fondest memories in this game is playing with 2 buddies. We each grabbed cars and drove down a road honking our horns to get attention from zombies. I was in the middle of the caravan. My game started rubber banding and clipped the friend ahead of me, then clipped my friend driving behind me. Our cars all exploded and we had a great laugh. Still rocking SOD2 in 2024 and we all still laugh about it whenever we're partying.

I know it probably won't happen, but it would be cool to get some confirmation on what happened to Marcus, Ed, and Maya after SOD1, seeing as how we don't really know much after they left the valley. I'm not asking for them to show up, as much as i would like that, more so just to get some answers.
They did a lore stream recently and talked about it.
Their answer was that they wish that the 3 are alive, but they also don't want to decanonize each players different story so they opt to leave the big characters futures vague.
The reason is obviously each player could have lost markus, ed or maya in sod1.
I personally enjoy their appraoch of leaving it vague but that can leave some people(if not most) frustrated craving for more answers.
I want so bad a mode where you play as one character only, worrying about your survival as an individual and not being attached to a base, a mode where you can wander and live day by day on your own.
that would be cool to make that an option

What I would like to see in State of Decay 3 is sense in State of Decay 2 you have a doctors that are working on serums and stuff if they're going to have zombified animals if there's any way to like rescue a wolf or something and make a companion to go on maneuvers that would be awesome

they will NEVER allow us to make our own character... as it defeats the purpose of the game (their own words)... even if you did make a character it would most likely be lost at some point anyways... characters are not permanent.. making a character goes against their view of the game where characters are meant to die... even if i would love a character creation anyways its already been stated that it will never happen as its a waste of development time (also their words)

I kinda stopped palying after it originally dropped but picked it back up recently. They added so much it is a completely new experience.

That is the silent agreement you agree to when using mods. Most games have ToS that forbid you from using mods. This is a standard across the industry. You are not entitled to your mods working. And Game Dev's aren't forced to keep mods alive.
Is it nice if they do it. A la Larian? Yes. But it is not a requirement.

Main things that need to be addressed in multiplayer : No Multiplayer tether, allow us to choose to either donate to our friend or put in our storage (as it currently sits this is these 2 things are the number 1 thing to be addressed IMO) , Fully build your own base or at least given freedom how to arrange your existing base (where the building slots go etc.), Please for the love of god make weather a thing I've just come off a stint of playing games with cool rain and other weather effects would love to see it in SOD3, and lastly for me IMO id love to see wildlife appropriate to the area and there Zed Counter parts nothing makes a walk through the forest more terrifying then the chance of running into a zed deer or squirrel or something like that. At any rate cant wait to get my hands on this one.

They actually added a update to adress that.
Enclaves will now clean up and decorate the houses they stay in and outpusts will get the same treatment.
I replayed the game randomly after a year long hiatus from it and immediatly noticed it.

@@VictorHTL-f7g yes you actually notice it when you get rid of an enclave (Kinda janky but the changes the enclave made will reset instantly). The house will get roughened up again and the enclaves will set up some signs I don't think all places that can have an enclave will be able to do those changes but houses are usually changing.
Outposts take a small bit but they also get some additional cleaning and minor upgrades you will notice it better if you have a reliable powersupply. The Outposts will light up at night.
Art style is completely different.

I'd love if they expand on the base building aspect. I want to build anywhere and not restricted to a certain plop. I always dream of a State of Decay game with Project Zomboid level of mechanics, but I don't think anyone is going to make that game anytime soon.
