I really hope we'll be able to build our own bases from the ground up. But honestly I doubt that would happen. However I'll still play it
I wouldn’t want to spend time building walls and such but wouldn’t mind picking different styles of facilities. I would also settle for just rotating the direction they face. The shooting range in 2 would face the base sometimes.

The wanted to make an mmo hoped they scraped that idea. I hope it large and has the option for shared worlds like grounded did allowing your friends to join in and have thier own base with thier own piropos. It would be interesting to keep your community and your friends community alive while they are offline
@@Bob-ti3uq you're mistaking AAA companies for Indie, Undead Labs is Indie always have always will be, they take notes and play the game everyone else plays. FURTHERMORE, they actively ensure updates that IMPROVE THE GAME not just shareholder hang-ups. As stated previously, they're an Indie dev team, they care.

There’s not it’s been talked about that no cities, or motorcycles are coming to the game.. I’m not tryna to loot a skyscraper and office buildings filled with screamers and ferals …state of decay is based on county’s and small towns like Montana (Far cry 5) themed and by the looks at the game it’s gonna have a a lot of forest maps similar to Province ridge

@@Eguana2008 What surprises me is that they are "normal" zombies. At that time, I imagined that the blood plague would be what would dominate the world.
@@luisricardovalenciabarrera3076 the blood plague can only exist near the plague hearts... so maybe the plague hearts just didn't infect this area? or maybe state of decay 2 story is canon and they were wiped out (for now)... either way even in SoD2 the plague zombies weren't everywhere unless you played on hardest setting

This trailer has got me all messed up!!! I’m sooooo ready for SOD3. SOD2 is literally my favorite game.
I hope that you can keep some sort of memory from a dead survivor, it didnt seem to matter when someone in your camp died in SOD2, not even a gravestone in the back with their name, so to impliment this into SOD3 could be interesting i liked the shrine idea at the end, I wonder if this is actually a feature planned and a main part of SOD3 to keep their memories and sacrifices meaningful, could be interesting
Not gonna lie this is disappointing , what they showed us 4 years ago gave us the impression that this game is going to be different compared to the previous ones, with a darker atmosphere, more solitude, camping out in the wilderness, zombie deer. What this trailer showed is the exact same game we've played before twice.

@@ulisesmontalvo9606 well I didn't mean a full on camp simulation, just a mechanic that would allow the characters to rest up a bit outside of the main camp, allowing us to go further, with some penalties to make it high risk high reward, I know coffee does something similar but still
That's not what the trailers we got to see different playstyles, new guns, new freaks/animals,new maps. From the looks of trailer 1, we got the solo playstyle, snowy map, and infected animals. Trailer 2 we got more open playstyle involving different groups might be at least more than 4 co-op, the radios on our characters which will make it more realistic, more darker smokey map, new guns and melee weapons, different executions and the freaks are looking cleaner, plus the cars are going to be better different
So it's kind of like a puzzle with different trailers and filling in the pieces, also building up the hype, plus the state of decay team confirmed that only a small team is working on SOD3 while the rest continue to improve SOD2
@@robertmittman5009 Well I hope you're right my friend, however it's important to remember that it's been four years since that initial trailer and games can pivot their vision in that timespan
I really hope for a larger map than the first games with a large urban city to explore and search for ressources and supplies. And then many smaller towns and rural areas where you will establish your base and so on.
The city is a high risk setting but can offer large rewards. Something like that
I liked making the large towns have all my outposts so I'd make it 100% zombie free, that was my favorite part

They spend more time on the trailers than the actual game.
I want so bad a mode where you play as one character only, worrying about your survival as an individual and not being attached to a base, a mode where you can wander and live day by day on your own.

This trailer could have concluded with a SoD2 logo and I would have believed it was an old cinematic from 2017. There was nothing in there that indicated an actual new game

Would be nice if they add a character pool (like XCOM 2) to create custom characters/customization (other then clothes and hats) but also have premade characters for the people that don’t want to make custom characters it would be the best of both worlds for the people that want to make custom characters so their games can be more memorable and their group could be more meaningful and for the ones that don’t want to bother with customization doesn’t have to
I started to feel sweet baby inc has some influence on the characters models of this game
Upon release it will still be in beta like 2 was and nothing you see here will be in it like 2.
Hopefully we can get it at least in fall either this year or in 2025. Either way, I'm hyped for this game to finally come out!

My two biggest wishes are create a character and more specific game sliders. 🙏🤝
they will NEVER allow us to make our own character... as it defeats the purpose of the game (their own words)... even if you did make a character it would most likely be lost at some point anyways... characters are not permanent.. making a character goes against their view of the game where characters are meant to die... even if i would love a character creation anyways its already been stated that it will never happen as its a waste of development time (also their words)

If they were appealing to SOD fans they would have shown the aspects that make the series stand out from others. Instead, it's just fighting hordes of zombies, like a Left 4 Dead. Also, nice to see strong, diverse females featured for a change.
