In the wide shot (Mike's POV) of the drug bust, you can definitely see a bald DEA agent that looks a helluva lot like Dean Norris. I've heard people say his voice is audible at one point too. Hank is coming.
I think everything is pointing towards Jimmy turning the table on Chuck and making the hearing about Chuck's mental health. When the bar hears how Chuck has been living and at the same time practicing law, they are going to suspend his license instead of Jimmy's.
Jorgino Now THAT would be a delicious twist. They're certainly trying to turn the tables, alright. And what better way to do it than to present him as mentally compromised and unstable? In semi-related news, I'm pretty worried for Kim. Based on the preview for next week, it looks like Mesa Verde's feeling uneasy about her involvement in Jimmy's case. I worry for that woman.
72ndHUMAN Something happens to Héctor, I'm thinking a brain aneurysm (can't think of the word for it) and is permanently handicap - his green wheelchair is visible in the previous episode when Mike goes to the clinic (and it was intentionally in at least 2 shots, which means it's coming)!
I personally think the ending of that apology was taking some shots at his brother as just a general statement of how Chuck treats him. as far as the pictures I think I know what their idea is they're going to try to prove that Chuck is not mentally stable and that Jimmy only told Chuck that to comfort him or something along those lines
What are your predictions on the importance of the second tape?... the backup tape. Is it maybe to show that Chuck is so obsessed with catching Jimmy that he would go so far out of his comfort zone to get him? To not only suffer to make one tape but to make two?
Tyler Durden Jimmy got the combination and safe location from Mike when he fixed the door. Jimmy is going to make a new tape and replace the one in the safe, so that when Chuck presents it and starts going nuts about how Jimmy switched it, Jimmy will have Chuck committed for good.
I think Jimmy and Kim are trying to get Chuck institutionalized. Somehow, Chuck will be made to look like a fool in front of the Bar Association. He'll freak out and go to the hospital where Jimmy will sign the papers to have him committed. Jimmy was put in the same situation in season one but refused to sign. Not this time!
Buchanan Baxter Jimmy will likely replace the second tape Chuck keeps in the safe (Jimmy got the combination and location - note Mike hands Jimmy in the diner) and give Chuck another Mesa Verde moment, just a thought...
best episode of BCS for some time, probably as far back as season one for me, mainly cos of Gus, etc, finally getting there it seems Anywho.... just finished watching series 4 of Line Of Duty here in the UK, great show if you have never seen it, very 'twisty', I then rewatched series one, on Netflix, only 5 episodes, pretty great still, and highly recommend trying out
Explain something to me ... please... • Why don't any of the customers call the police? ... or more come in? ... they were removed, were they not? (where they kidnapped?) • Why are the staff who are being held hostage, eating? ... would you eat in that situation?... would you let the employees make food else they press a burglary buzzer? • The obviously know Fring's car ... why go in if he's not there? ... simply wait and approach the clerk knowing he's there and knowing he'd make sure it wasn't an interruption to business. Why do these people who are experts at meeting at time and places where no one would see them suddenly decide to be seen? Isn't Lyle?... going to review day's video tape and get the license number of the car justifying his all-American good samaritan situation with Gus' speech? How many shows until Lyle has an accident (and why does he has no apron?)
The Breaking Bad era has officielly returned. Impeccable writing, incredible acting. Chuck will be hoisted with his own petard. He is trying to destroy his brother and willingly sacrifices his humanity in the process. Slowly but steady he loses his sanity and serenity. The McGill brothers will lose all respect due to this court trial. This court trial will have no winners, only losers. (Gus for president!)
For someone who just woke up not that long before filming this video you look very gorgeous, Emily (: Great review! Can't wait for the end of this season, I'm thinking we may see the downfall of Hector Salamanca before the finale is over.
Just wanted to add a few things. It is shit that Hector is scraping off of his shoe. The spanish translation is literally "shit" as he grabs the pen to start picking it off. Also, I've read various theories of what the note says in the diner. Some people think rather than it being the address of the original tape, it's actually contact info for Rebecca, Chuck's ex-wife. Jimmy and Kim may ask her to testify of Chuck's insanity in order to strengthen their case. I can't wait for next week.
mmmmmccxxc IT'S THE COMBINATION TO THE SAFE!! Jimmy will make a new tape (hopefully it involves peach cobbler 😂) to replace that second copy so that when Chuck presents it as evidence and plays it, Chuck will have another Mesa Verde moment and say that Jimmy switched the tape which will make Chuck look nuts... To which I predict Jimmy has him committed.
Chuck is gonna say something's about jimmys past in court it might turn Kim away from him or Mesa Verde leave kim because of the conflict with the fraud file next episode is gonna bring the saul out
I get that the show is not for everyone, but it's definitely not nonsense. It's a story that deals with grief, belief and faith. How this relatively small global event puts everything in the world in doubt and how the characters deal with this post "apocalyptic" world. It's for me one of the most transcending TV shows that I have ever seen. How Lindelhof deals with theological and existential themes is brilliant.
I don't want to go into spoilers, but there are explanations. Like a lot of what Kevin experiences could be chalked up by them being manifestations of his own mind. The show is more about the emotional and psychological journey of these characters and how these "mysteries" affect them. It's not about these mysteries themselves. Yeah, if you are looking for science, don't watch the leftovers. :P
Loving the Breaking Bad connections, the show is turning into much more than Saul's story. but I'm at a loss with what Saul and Kim are planning. What is the trap they're setting?? Something to do with the pictures and duplicate tape? What gives?
DDdastard06 Jimmy is going to replace the second tape that Chuck has in his safe (Mike got the combination and location when he fixed the door), and make Chuck look crazy at the trial, to which I think Jimmy will have Chuck committed.
Gus for president??!! Hmmm los pollos hermanos 2020 or los sabrositos hermanos. I dont know why but i feel that jimmy is not going to become saul goodman this season. Its too soon for that to happen
Anyone else catch the comment Hector makes in retort to "Pollos Hermanos"? He says "More like 'Butt Brothers'". Does anyone else think this supports the theory that Gus and Max were lovers?
good episode eh..? both fring and mike, AND the DON's... i agree. it was a great ballance of both shows AND the wolds of mike/ hector and saul.. i mean jimmy ;) anyways.... good show. very fun for all thoes breaking bad eggs and such. great review tooo. you do a very good job doing this.. keep em comin
Hi there Emily Sophia... Love your TV vlogs. In Español, It's Ciudad (SEE- Eww- Dad) Juarez (Juarez City) , not Cuidad as is Cuidado (To be Careful) the way you pronounced it. Hope this helps. Other than that your pronunciation is good.
Damjan Plamenac I caught that too last night, as it was always implied but never outright stated in Breaking Bad or BCS that Gus and Max were alleged lovers. Vince Gilligan I believe has stated, in a interview years back, that the Gustavo Fring character is in fact gay. "Not that there's anything wrong with it" - Seinfeld 😄😆🤗
Damjan Plamenac That would also help explain Gus' sense of sadistic vengeance against the cartel later on. Not that the loss of a platonic business partner is less emotionally impactful. Still, that makes perfect sense in the Breaking Bad canon. I'm all for it.
In the wide shot (Mike's POV) of the drug bust, you can definitely see a bald DEA agent that looks a helluva lot like Dean Norris. I've heard people say his voice is audible at one point too. Hank is coming.
This season has been better then first two seasons already
I agree
Great review as always!

This episode really didn't stand out from the rest because of that first half. Just so amazing
this episode was fucking awesome. simple as that.
hey Em its great to see you
Anyone Else thinking Gus has something to do with Hectors later handicaps 🤔
72ndHUMAN Something happens to Héctor, I'm thinking a brain aneurysm (can't think of the word for it) and is permanently handicap - his green wheelchair is visible in the previous episode when Mike goes to the clinic (and it was intentionally in at least 2 shots, which means it's coming)!

I agree with you. this episode felt like we were watching Breaking Bad!
In episone 3 Chuck walks outside unphased by his condition as Jimmy waits on the curb for the cops. Will this come up in court?
What are your predictions on the importance of the second tape?... the backup tape. Is it maybe to show that Chuck is so obsessed with catching Jimmy that he would go so far out of his comfort zone to get him? To not only suffer to make one tape but to make two?

The scratchy voice suits you. 16:03-16:06 best =)
didn't you mean to say "Ladies and Gentlemen of the jury"?
MacX1985 ...why, yes. Yes I did. I HAVE FAILED. (Should've had my coffee first.)
the same pool where a poor eye-less stuffed pink bear drowns to death. :(
Winter Haydn Nope, but Don Eladio does drown in that pool though in the episode "Salud" of Breaking Bad
I think Jimmy and Kim are trying to get Chuck institutionalized. Somehow, Chuck will be made to look like a fool in front of the Bar Association. You didn't say "of the jury"!
Cassandra Foster I know!!! Trust me, I'm just as disappointed in me as you are. 😉 I'll be damned if I make the same mistake two weeks in a row!
Nice Video :)

What, what?
another amazing review. i was wondering do you have a instagram?
The Gus speech was hilarious, too. I clapped with them! Lol.

This was an awesome episode. As are all episodes of Better Call Saul.
For someone who just woke up not that long before filming this video you look very gorgeous, Emily (:

I think Kim was recording when they talked about Chuck having a duplicate tape and that he'll play it.
My favorite show. This episode was awesome.
ENTRAPMENT? BINGO!
when did they reveal Gus was gay? I didn't know that until the comments from this episode.
A girl after my own heart Sofia! You are so dreamy! Omfg

want to watch another show but thinking bout 13 Reason Why, The Leftovers & Once Upon A Time
The Leftovers. It's the best show out of all the shows I am watching right now. This includes Better call Saul, Westworld, Mr Robot, Legion and Fargo.
#ahh! Fargo!

Ihuhbjg Fjyfjvjhj Thank you for the correction! My Spanish is very rusty! I appreciate the refresher. ^__^
EmmightySofia De Nada Amiga! 😊 You are always welcome. Have a great day.
The "Butt Brothers" remark alludes to the potential "Gay-rumored" relationship between Fring and Max
Damjan Plamenac I was reading about that last night! I can't believe it had never occurred to me previously. There's some rich subtext there.
Damjan Plamenac That would also help explain Gus' sense of sadistic vengeance against the cartel later on. Not that the loss of a platonic business partner is less emotionally impactful. Still, that makes perfect sense in the Breaking Bad canon. I'm all for it.
Damjan Plamenac Walt would have done the same if Jessy had gotten killed in breaking bad still none of them were gay.
Gus might be.
Your eyebrows are cute but change em, they are to obviously different.
LOL Make america prosper vote for the cartel!
