    Great video for people wanting to service their Clio's. I've had my 03 plate Clio 1.2 mk2 for 13 years now and have serviced it every year or 6-8k miles and it's still going strong.

    • @mavezy
      @mavezy 3 года назад

      @@samburns6795 Never done it. It's in the fuel tank part of the sender unit. If it's the petrol engine.

    This chap is a jolly good egg as far as I'm concerned. It's quite clear to me now that it doesn't take weeks to service a Clio. The chauffeur Sinclair has been spending hours in the garage with our daughter; apparently giving her car a damned good service. Perhaps if he watches this video he can spend more of his energy on the Bentley instead of constantly tinkering with her Clio.

    You forgot to change the pollen filter. It should be done every year. It is amazing how dirty they get in that space of time.

    • @bodgitandleggitgarage
      @bodgitandleggitgarage 7 лет назад

      Parknest he did not so long ago a video on how to change a pollen filter you should check that out also I did a video on a pollen filter are used in machines to see the difference before and after and it was amazing

    • @retrorestore
      @retrorestore  7 лет назад +8

      No, I didn't. That can be done at any time. this car has only done very low mileage in the last year and the vents blow very strong. When it needs changing, i'll change it. I'm not one for religiously sticking to what manufacturers say, I rely on using common sense as well as the specifications.

    Helpful video, I now know where the oil filter and sump plug are located. But it's really not a good idea to wear a watch or rings while working on a car let alone carrying out a service. Also I would obtain some foam kneel pads rather than kneeling directly on a brick floor.

    New Gasket on the sump everytime chap, can't be draining new oil if the old one leaks and you are putting addtional pressure on the threads if you use the old one, few pence all it costs...just saying. Also I would'nt bother with fully synthetic oil semi is fine.

    • @OffGridInvestor
      @OffGridInvestor 4 года назад

      It's RUBBER. what's he ACTUALLY going to replace? It looks like the ford ones here where to stop it getting warped as you tighten, it's built onto the sunp bung itself. Ford has been doing that for nearly 40 years on their main big 6 cylinder here.... btw those bungs AREN'T a couple of cents, they're several dollars/euro each.

  • @peterscaramouche6317
    @peterscaramouche6317 2 месяца назад

    But.....i always start with draining the sump first. Not removing the oilfilter until that is done. Strange, that you do it the other way around.
