Yeh, I can see why he loved them too. The best riff on the 'Scream Bloody Gore' album sounds VERY close to the opener of this EP.

Thanks to Chuck I knew them too.He was always letting the good metal flow, even when he was not playing.
Even more than the music (which is cool) I am mostly impressed with the quality of the recording. This is very impressive for an early '80's first demo!

Sortilège je l'écoute depuis c'est deux premiers albums des années 80, quand on m'avait dit qu'ils passent en concert , j'étais heureux, oui la vie est bien faite, plus le fait de sortir un nouvel albums Phoenix, le top !!!

I almost forgot how good this EP is. Had not listened to it for decades but knew it when it was released, or perhaps better to say unleashed (!) in the early 80's. Still stands. What a band, what great songs. Yes that singer but then the whole band, especially the bass player.

This stuff is legendary! The band is tight as hell and the singer has an effortless range with power like a fusion between Tate and Halford. Epic!🤘😁🤘

Sortilège, c'était quand même un sacré bon groupe. A un de leur concert en 1984 à paris j'avais fais une petite banderole écrite "sortilège deviendra grand": Dommage ils étaient pourtant au niveau des grands groupes de l'èpoque
sur je les ai vu en 83 a Fourmi et ensuite a Cambrai avec Venom et Satan Joker entre autres great souvenir....

J'ai toujours trouvé que cet EP était meilleur que les albums qui ont suivi. Niveau vocal difficile de faire mieux que le morceau "Progéniture"
