Considering the facts mentioned that he is a God of Fighting, personifies and favors snakes and fire, and moreover has the Stone of the Sun as his shield, its obvious he could be based on the Snake God Quetzalcoatl the God of War Huitzilopochtli, and perhaps even Tezcatlipoca. Yet the Theme is cool, though no remix can ever beat the Tekken 3 Arcade theme of Ogre.
He's also a deliberate homage to the Pillar Men from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, they're all found in an Aztec ruin, are all in varying states of nudity or undress and all subsist on human flesh by absorbing people through their bodies.

I find this and his original backstory to be extremely guttural and visceral as well as how this theme also evokes tales of Hopi folklore of how there were ends of ages because of depravity upon the rise of great empires, and to how the Hopi also had encounters with the Aztecs that lead to them being incorporated into these tales a bit. It's funny too, because you'd think that Julia and Michelle would be Hopi than Navajo, considering how they have the most connection to prophecies regarding both Ogre, Azazel, and Devil Jin.
I think the towering height combined with the soulless empty black eyes and glowing evil scarlet pupils are what make him more intimidating. not to mention the empty almost always expressionless face(with the exception of that "i'm going to enjoy snapping your neck" smirk during the vs screen) and the ancient timeless force of nature look he's got going on is also pretty badass, like he has no fucks to give. Playing with Ogre in this game makes me feel like a god damn champion.
holy shit this comment perfectly describes what Ive always felt when I first and always looked at Ogre from Tekken 3 especially the part about towering height, soulless empty black eyes, the empty almost always expressionless face (except Im going to enjoy snapping your neck), and the ancient timeless force of nature look BOOM perfect description.
+Sendy Lie (Lv.? Freelancer) I didn't know Ogre before this game. The first time I saw him getting in while hearing this intro I knew... Shit had just gotten real.

I have to say; this song is just badass. I think Ogre's a really cool and scary villain. Granted, I like Akuma too, but there's something about Ogre's design and theme I love!
Yeah I always liked Ogre's somewhat ominous mysterious aura, like he knows something dark about life that the rest of humanity has no clue about and enjoys nothing but causing pain to his victims with that hidden knowledge in mind.
Akuma: Now, who dares challenge me? *Ogre Appears* Akuma: You pitiful creature. Prove to me your worth! *Ogre roars as Akuma didn't flinch it and then they stared one another for a fight as Ogre flies into Akuma.*
I think the only reason why people think Ogre looks like Seth is because of the smile. I don't remember Ogre smiling in Tekken 3 but in SFxT he smiles sometimes, and at that moment he resembles Seth.
Actually that was only in the console version, in the arcade game Ogre and True Ogre share the same theme, you just had to wait a bit to hear that part.

The Tekken Arcade theme of Ogre is the best. I always use him to take the trash out and clean house in Tekken 3. He is one of the most unique characters I've seen. Neither cheap like Jinpachi or Azazel nor screwed up like Tekken 1 Heihachi. Ogre FTW. If only TTT2 had given Ogre the ability to transform to True Ogre akin to Devil.
actually, this song is on the home console version of Tekken 3, you can change the music of the game to the arcade soundtrack in the options menu, you will hear this song when you fight Ogre.
It sounds upbeat and in my opinion it fits the mood of the game, because of all the fast intense fights this holds up very well. Wish they would do more with this Ogre instead of True Ogre from Tekken 3.
Godnesss..... always played with Tekken characters and never had a chance to hear this... IT'S SO AMAZING!!! They made it sound even better than the Tekken 3 version!

They do that because they exacly doing business :p Some higher ups tell them to do SFxT to specific deadline and they need to do it or they won't get paid. Thats how this industry works, you would do exact same thing. Thats why you see "efferts" in independent developers because they are not dependent and they can take there time. 2nd possibility that he looks like Seth is because he been made by same hands and this is just a style.
Ogre came before Seth, way before. I do agree on that. However, I would think that Ogre used mostly Seth's model from Street Fighter IV, since the body structure and proportion is the same, followed by face features (Just look at the lips and the eyes), and probably the arms. They just removed the tanden engine and added in a nice little helmet, a shield and some loincloth. This is why people think that Ogre is a ripoff of Seth. Although Seth looks like Ogre to begin with.
