Thank you so much for taking the time to make this excellent video about the artfone. I found it very useful especially how to insert the sim card. The user instructions were next to useless.
Got one these with the base station model C1+ for a partially sighted and going deaf elderly chap and it works fine. As he is in a care home I disabled the sos audio warning and sos call/sms features. He uses the speed dial but I would not use location number 1 as it could access the messages instead. The rear speaker is really loud so is good for hard of hearing. If the user is dialing a number not in the address book or on speed dial it can be used to speak the digits as the numbers are pressed. For the money it`s good but the supplied manual is useless so kudos to this uploader. The FM radio is good via the speaker and works without ear buds as an aerial.

The phone works really well. The keypad is locked and unlocked with a slide button on the right edge of the phone. You can leave it in the unlocked position permanently.
my dad has this phone but it wont charge properly or turn on .its been on charge intermittently all night and shows the green pulsing when charging .it now has a grey screen and wont turn on .please help
It has an SD card but it is for storing MP3 music files and pictures, not contacts and SMS messages. Between the SIM and internal storage you should be able to store around 100 contacts. The SMS inbox memory is not big though so you'll need to delete messages after about 10 SMS's so there is space for more.
The phone doesn't have internal memory. You need to insert an SD card if you want to save any photos. Also, the Artfone C1+ doesn't have a camera, only the Artfone C1does.

It could be doing that for a few different reasons. If you put the SIM in a different phone does the problem persist? Are the numbers you're calling from blocked on the Artfone? It may be a network issue. It's a 2G phone and some networks have limited support for that band. You could try a SIM from a different network. Or go to Menu - Settings - Network settings and change the network selection from automatic to manual. Then select a different network to the one your wife is on. It will say "registering" and will either complete or fail. If it completes then you can try to call her phone again. I suspect it's just network related though.

Why are they still selling these on Ebay, they won't work because they are 2g and now we are at 4g or 5g. Am I right? I would like to buy one if they worked.
For now a lot of countries still support 2G. This phone will work in most European and African countries. 2G and 3G have mostly been shut down in the USA though.
Can anyone advise why I suddenly cannot receive any texts? I can send them, and I can make and receive phone calls. I just can't receive texts at all. Thanks Helen
The volume control buttons are on the left edge of the phone. If the phone is on silent or vibrate you press and hold the zero button to cycle through the profiles.

@@steventurner8113 I'm sorry I only saw your reply now. If you're using the C1 then I don't think there is an option to turn the Power On tone. It was only added to the menu on the C1+.
The pin is a function of the SIM, not the phone. The easiest would be to put the SIM in your previous phone, go to the security settings in that phone and then remove the pin from the SIM.
If you go to the Call Log option in the menu there should be an advanced setting for black listed numbers. You should see the blocked contact there. Otherwise you might need to restore the phone to its factory settings. Menu - settings - restore factory settings. Password: 1234
