    We walked right by you guys yesterday but we're too nervous to say hi. We wish that we did say hi now but maybe next time. Also that was the first time ever that I didn't see the train running.when we walked by the flamingos, I'm like pink chickens lol

      Never be nervous to say hi! We love meeting up with you all. It was a surprise not to see the train running, but I have see that happen before when they were doing some maintenance on the track.

      Yeah Gene Simmons just sounded wrong in a funny way after I thought about it.

    So you are on the giga rumors? While i think that is one of about two, maybe three ride models FL needs snd would be massive, i still don't ever see it happening. But you go to BGT WAY more than i do and maybe you've heard things from people in higher positions, but getting over the height requirement is an obstacle i don't think BGT can even overcome. Getting dozens of waivers approved will be difficult. It took about 6 waivers to get that 6ft approved on IG and then was slapped with a strict wind requirement. I feel a Mack extreme spinning coaster is next up. Sea World looks to possibly be getting a GCI woodie in wild artic for next year, but that in the infancy. Could change, but what I'm hearing.

      I don't think it's that far out of the park to put a coaster there with the height of 306 feet. Yes IG is only 206, but FF is 330 and has a strict wind requirement, heck for that matter the SkyRide also has a strict wind requirement and it's only 50-60 feet high. I also think that BGT will be getting a smaller thrill ride next.

      @@BuschGardensJunkie that is all very true, but it's the FAA mandated height requirement of 200ft BGT has to get around. There are no mandated height requirements for single pole structures so that's how FF can be 330ft and the wind requirements are just due to the ride model and parameters set forth by the manufacturer. IG wind requirements are FAA mandated. Tampa allowed IG waivers because it was only 6ft and they had a great presentation to show how they could market IG as the highest hybrid in the world. The previous was 205ft and they only went to 206ft. If not for the mandate, it would have been a little taller.

      The FAA mandated height applies to all structures whether it's a radio tower, ride tower, building or anything over 200 feet. It means it needs lights. I was a pilot I know. BGT is also far enough away it wouldn't matter. I know either we had this discussion before or someone else did. The only thing the giga would need is lights if going over 200.

      Quoted straight from FAA.GOV, and this is federal which means not just Tampa or BGT but Nationwide -
      In general any temporary or permanent structure, including all appurtenances, that exceeds an overall height of 200 feet (61m) above ground level (AGL), or exceeds any obstruction standard contained in 14 CFR Part 77, should normally be marked and/or lighted.

    Do you think BG will be getting a new thrill ride after pheonix rising and where in the park would it fit?

    • @BuschGardensJunkie
      @BuschGardensJunkie  3 месяца назад +1

      After Phoenix Rising I am not sure the direction BG will be going. Rumors are a thrill ride for 2025 and the possible giga for 2026. I do think there is some area by the Serengeti Flyer for another attraction maybe our next thrill ride.

      @@BuschGardensJunkie I still don't see a giga ever coming to BGT, especially with the cost of the steel being more expensive. But I am curious to see what comes next.
