Didn’t they realize, or work out all the possible living arrangements when they went on the show? Did they have discussions about all of that before a proposal was made and accepted? Just goes to show how one/people can get set in their ways as they get older. Though I can understand and appreciate the dilemma of such arrangements. But did it have to result in a divorce a mere 3 months after the marriage? Gary was free, retired. Why couldn’t/didn’t he come and stay at his wife’s place part time? He didn’t have to sell his house. I’ve watched the Bachelor/Bachelorette in all its incarnations since the very first episode. And though a proposal is expected by the end of a season, an actual marriage can and should take more time. They didn’t have to get married so soon. As an engaged couple, they could have enjoyed each other’s company, taken time to get to know each other better and gradually worked out the logistics of their eventual living arrangements over time. Their actual marriage, maybe all of it now seems more like a PR stunt than an actual love connection. And now, they’re on the Divorce lap of the tour 🙄

People y'all old enough to have thought all these things before saying I do" I'm not buying it! I think it's just after a few weeks the spark and newness was over just admit it people and stop the non sense.
This is a huge hurdle. In the promos, Gerry seemed set on bringing the woman to his lake home. And him wanting to travel. And if money was no object, Theresa wouldn't work and they would keep both homes and travel to both and travel put of the country too.
How sad that two people who should have the life experience to make a sensible decision just didn't. 😂 It was obviously just about the attention and money. I can't imagine putting yourself on display like this. Pathetic.
If I went on the show and found love. I would find a place between both families and when you want to see your family either take a road trip or get on a plane. When there's a will there's a way. The great thing I work from home so the flexibility is great! My kids are grown up so, now it's my turn to find love. I would never give up I would mKe it work or die trying.
I’m not surprised about any of this! I’m starting to really get sick of putting in my time watching bachelor nation and most of these relationships do not work out! It is like it is all fake. I would love to believe in happily ever after, but I seriously don’t think that most of these people have much common sense. This show really knows how to pick ‘em. All the show cares about his ratings. I don’t think they fully intend on the best outcome for every season. I’ve watched it from the beginning and I missed two seasons after they got rid of Chris Harrison, even after he apologized. I am seriously thinking of not watching this BS anymore. Also, all these women are getting way worse with the fakeness. Everyone has fake lips and it’s so annoying.
If you think he guys don't have botox and fillers too, then you are giving them way too much credit. Couples broke up even more in the first 10 seasons of this show than now. After Trista we didn't get another marriage until Jason and Molly and Molly wasn't even his final rose recipient. I think the modern era has had a few dust bowl seasons (couples not even making it 1 year), but the majority of Bach Nation couples that are still together are from after Chris Harrison's departure, with a lot coming from BIP season 6 (Serena and Joe, Becca and Thomas, Mari and Kenny, Abigail and Noah, Chris and Alanna). So far the last 3 flagship show couples are still together and even Matt and Rachel are still together. I think the franchise gives us enough love stories to follow if we want to focus on them.
Why did this conversation not take place prior to saying I do.. Theresa you both need to pull up your big kid pants & follow through with your path under God. I knew from the get go you were not a match.
This guy is sadly a loser. I will never watch another of these fake shows again. It’s lost his way. They do not vent these people enough. Everyone should be willing to move for the other person. Everybody should have their own income or retirement. Her continuing to work when he wants to go on adventures, shows you right there. This had no hope from the get-go. The fact that they think they can still find love was almost a joke is there telling others to not love? If older people can’t communicate and share how they feel, knowing they have less time in life, I would say there is not much hope. I saw them on a podcast two weeks before what a BS show that turned out to be. Dear Shandy was so respectful of them, too, and all they did was lie on the show. Honestly I’ve that podcast I was like yeah I think I’ll give them about three more months.
Gerry picked the wrong women because she’s not fitting into his life style. Seems like they would have talked about these matters before getting married or him choosing her. I didn’t watch it. They seem so chill about it all. Wishing them both the best.
I suggested these thoughts during the season when Gerry was deciding between Theresa and Lesley .....Theresa would be losing a great deal financially since she draws Social Security on her deceased husband's income. It is obvious to me that the possibility of Gary's work history could not could qualify for an equivalent amount. Difficulty with finances put a great deal of strain on a marriage.
@@karmad4491 You can work and receive SS but you forfeit a percentage of you SS. You can receive either SS or your spouse's not both. Most people pick the highest SS income.
Then it's the fault of the bachelor show They should only pair up these eligible bachelorettes and bachelor's with people that are within one state of the state that they live in so there's more of a chance that the relationship will truly work
Hmm maybe these things shoulda been discussed before picking her and at very lest before marriage?

This is a huge hurdle. In the promos, Gerry seemed set on bringing the woman to his lake home. And him wanting to travel. And if money was no object, Theresa wouldn't work and they would keep both homes and travel to both and travel put of the country too.
You guys should have discussed all that before marriage.. don't ya think?
How sad that two people who should have the life experience to make a sensible decision just didn't. 😂 It was obviously just about the attention and money. I can't imagine putting yourself on display like this. Pathetic.
I would think - U both would have talked about those “Big” issues ahead of time……🤔🤔🧐🙄🙄!!
If I went on the show and found love. I would find a place between both families and when you want to see your family either take a road trip or get on a plane. When there's a will there's a way. The great thing I work from home so the flexibility is great! My kids are grown up so, now it's my turn to find love. I would never give up I would mKe it work or die trying.
these are things to discuss before getting married. How dump for supposed wise people.
She looks more masculine than him - stop the Botox and fillers
Jerry has lost his Hollywood Glow…. What were these Seniors thinking?
Why did this conversation not take place prior to saying I do..
Theresa you both need to pull up your big kid pants & follow through with your path under God. I knew from the get go you were not a match.
You knew all that going in that you might have to move or quit your job and retire early so all that should be thought of ahead of time
This guy is sadly a loser.
Who cares! What a waste of time & money!
Full of crap…
Gerry picked the wrong women because she’s not fitting into his life style. Seems like they would have talked about these matters before getting married or him choosing her. I didn’t watch it. They seem so chill about it all. Wishing them both the best.
I suggested these thoughts during the season when Gerry was deciding between Theresa and Lesley .....Theresa would be losing a great deal financially since she draws Social Security on her deceased husband's income. It is obvious to me that the possibility of Gary's work history could not could qualify for an equivalent amount. Difficulty with finances put a great deal of strain on a marriage.
Theresa is working and drawing an income. Her social security would have been reduced or forfeited anyway. He SS or her husband's same thing.
@@pattyduke3079 You can work and receive SS both - at the same time. She was entitled to her OWN SS income - as well as her work income.
@@karmad4491 You can work and receive SS but you forfeit a percentage of you SS. You can receive either SS or your spouse's not both. Most people pick the highest SS income.
Then it's the fault of the bachelor show They should only pair up these eligible bachelorettes and bachelor's with people that are within one state of the state that they live in so there's more of a chance that the relationship will truly work
Fake fake fake
What’s up w her lips 👄
Her lips look good 🤷♀️
They looked over lined!😂
I think he is selish.
