    Great video. I really like the pilot/passenger analogy, definitely something that would help me stay on track.

    I agree about not looking at screens before bed but you guys who promote the whole anti-social media and anti-games ideas always push an idea of life that isn't what people should need or desire to have outside of people who are dealing with extreme perfectionism. I almost guarantee and based on your content and what you're building you sit and watch youtube self-improvement all the time outside of this which is no different from someone binge-watching Netflix or playing games as you're not putting much if any of it into action. The idea that you are pushing for is based on a perfectionistic mindset instead of a realistic one. In a year or two you'll either be at a point where you've grown a big audience but you feel like you are inauthentic because you don't live the life you preach or you'll realize that down time is okay and that not everyone needs to live a life of pure dialed in life for the sake of it.
    For someone who read Ali Abdaal's book, you don't seem to understand one of the areas he has an issue with the "productivity" side of RUclips which bleeds into self-improvement which is that everything you do needs to evolve around being productive or being better. So you're not actually getting downtime in because you know you're doing it for an exterior motive.
    Just some food for thought. Not hate against you, I'm 21 and I've been through my massive indulgence into self-improvement content and what you create heavily mimics what I've heard and watched for years and it's just something to hopefully learn from but not adopt as your whole personality.

      Couldn't agree with this more. Nothing wrong with certain activities if done purposefully and mindfully. Also, blindly recommending not to relax watching a TV show or a movie is not realistic or sustainable. Not to mention it deprives yourself of some truly great art which can round-out someone's development and help them learn about the world, or themselves. Reading a book can 100% be a cheap dopamine hit, it depends what we consume and how, not simply the format.

    Thank you for this video. I took a lot of notes and I will try to implement them into my daily routine. I always look for ways and ideas to optmize myself and this is something I can work on. Thank you so much!

    I think you're content is quite interesting and informative, I've heard a few of these take on other self-improvement videos and while some are helpful a lot of this isn't effective long term especially for those with learning disabilities such as ADD, ADHD ect or anxiety disorders such as GAD, SAD or OCD. Telling people that reading doesn't produce dopamine is incorrect and harmful (coming from someone who loves reading and uses 'read a book' as an insult). Not only that but for those who struggle with burnout (which is a large majority of the population) watching a youtube video or a movie (which could very easily be a documentary) is actually good for our brains as we need dopamine, the amount that we get from 'doom scrolling' isn't healthy but we do still as human need it and watching a show or catching up on a podcast can help make you more productive in the long run if used properly. I also wanted to add to what I touched on above with effectiveness long term, the way you structure the routine wouldn't work as well for someone who presents feminine and/or cares a lot about their appearance as well as you not allowing for cleaning, self care, commute. I'm very glad these are working for you at the moment but when releasing content you do have to consider your audience and the general public.

      I understand your points but it's impossible to cover every possible situation/unique circumstance in a single youtube video. I do my best to keep it applicable to everyone but there will always be exceptions. In those cases people have found my 1-1 coaching to be really helpful since I can tailor my advice to their specific situation

    what kind of metrics do you display on your second monitor? ~ 4:02
    I've been feeling like, having some kind of "HUD" by my side would help keep me on track but I wouldn't know what to put in it 😆

    Great video Miles! First video I’ve seen from you. I’m really interested in that work group thing you were talking about, as I’ve tried a few times to find like minded individuals to get together 1x a week for deep work together, and it just hasn’t come together consistently even though we’ve had some good sessions. I’ll definitely check it out!

    It’s imposible to have a schedule all days that way what about the time buying groceries traveling or preparing the meals 😢😢

    • @MilesMochizuki
      @MilesMochizuki  6 месяцев назад

      Of course not every day is going to be the same so account for those variations in your schedule. Don't over think it and feel like if you can't have the perfect schedule that's exactly the same 7 days of the week then it won't work for you. Maybe you add a separate block that only occurs on Sundays for example when you'll go buy groceries or prepare meals or whatever else you need to do that might not be consistent every single day. You know what your life commitments are so simply adjust accordingly. Hope that helps

    one of the important exams for my college entrance got over yesterday, but I still got 3-4 more important exams to come, but I want to develop a good routine for myself but I don't know where to start

    • @MilesMochizuki
      @MilesMochizuki  7 месяцев назад

      best of luck on the exams, I know exam season can be hectic and difficult to get into any sort of consistent routine since all your focus is diverted toward the exams. Hopefully once your exams are over you can settle into a more consistent routine. In the meantime, trying to at least get the biggest priority task done as early in the day as possible will have the biggest long term impact imo
