What a beautiful area I was able to go to today with you! Thanks Ruins and Ridges for taking me along. I love your videos! Thank your mother for me from California.
I agree with @JeannieHamilton-wm3cn completely! You captured what it felt like to be there. I could feel the drizzle in the air and smell the damp pine needles. There is nothing like hiking through the forest after a good rain. Thanks again for taking us there. A long time ago an old man told me you should always introduce yourself to the owls and ravens/crows that you meet in the woods. He said they will always remember you and be less afraid each time they see you again.
Thank you! That is a very cool belief about owls. We did talk to it a little bit. This was the friendliest owl. We see and hear a lot of big horned owls around, but this spotted owl was a surprise.
My favorite is how the experience becomes a personal perspective, under your skilled footwork, guidance and knowledge. We interact with the features relative to the spacial relationship, of those we can not see. Owls love that 💓.
Thank you! Yes, very likely squigly lines can be a snake and water representation. Hopi people do the snake dance as a rain dance and release the snakes to bring back rain. And the ancient people living in this area would have been ancestors of the Hopi.
The Owl is known to be a very mysterious and sometimes supernatural creature , Often mimicked by other creatures , I doubt we ever get to the bottom of the mystery but you have just verified once again how intriguing they are . Often associated with bigfoot
The owl footage on Ruins and Ridges is priceless ❤️
Thank you! Yes we were fortunate to stumble upon it. 🙂

Thank you very much. Owls are so cool. We recently saw 2 big horned owls talking to each other.
Would the squiggles indicate water flowing there? Very ingenious system. Thanks for taking me with you!! The Owl was absolutely beautiful!!
