Pretty, yeah, but what always gets me is that these AUs are all just "what if Pink looked different". There's no real creativity beyond some of the designs. Any AU I make, I put my heart and soul into. I wish that passion for art was more common in the fandom. Though I'll admit: I like the way White was redesigned.

I know I am so so late but I fully agree. In these diamond aus it shouldn't make Stevens mother the smallest diamond. What about yellow things pink is negating her duty, so she goes down to earth and falls in love with greg

Probably because the core of diamond au is what happen when other diamond took pink diamond place. Its the easiest and there are alot of reference can be used.
Other au can be hit or miss since most au only a scene drawn.
