Even as a wood-smith I found this very helpful. I have been working on fret work. My pieces currently range from 6in by 6in up to 8in x 15in. Believe it or not I learned of the jeweler's bench pin in another video about blade selection and cutting techniques to minimize blade snaps. This video had convinced me that using one like this to supplement my bird's mouth platform would allow me to cut even more intricate patterns. Also thank you for sharing your family legacy. It touched my heart.

I love the idea of having some measured grid on the bench pin! I have a small grid marked out on top of my bench, but this is much more convenient. I use his books when I'm not sure how to approach certain repairs. They've been a great resource!

Nice work Big Dust bro! 👊🍻🥰 when I get my glass torch I want to make jewellery with it, thinking earrings and pendants, maybe rings too, but earrings especially I think can look great from seeing other artists work 🥰🍻

I’m just finishing a bench jewelers course and am a new part of the FB group. I can’t wait to start working on the projects in the book. Also, my son in law is a blown glass artist. I’m excited to share your page with him. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for sharing 🥰 I've got a bench pin sitting in a drawer waiting to be shaped. I bought the Professional Jewelry Making book and joined Let's Make Professional Jewelry and starting to work through the projects. Pretty exciting adventure after retiring from nursing and finding Francesca Watson during the pandemic. Oh the places I am going 🥰

I’m in the making jewelry group, following along in the book. My bench pin was already a bit cut up, but I did my best to follow the directions in the video. The angled area on the front for filing is brilliant! I’d love to win a new bench pin. :)
