    Thank you for the vid! The presentation style is easy to follow it's a great way to go over the McCracken notes when the body is tired of staring at simple text.

    read that a strap is made with a width of 8-13 mm, isn't it?
    Also I have an MCQ which is very confusing, it says
    A palatal strap is
    1- a wide thin major connector with a palatal coverage of more than 8 mm
    2- provides adequate support
    3-Acts as a direct indirect retainet
    4-all are correct
    Which is the answer?
    2-

    In the palatal plate mayor connector when you mention the t it provides a good degree of thermal conductivity to the underlying tissue, you mean that it can transfer cold and hot and it is like more normal and easy por the patient to adapt to it? Please

    • @studywiththedentist
      @studywiththedentist  3 года назад +3

      Yes indeed. Good thermal conductivity will mean that it will feels more "natural" and accepting to the patient, and less artificial.

      I use McCracken's Removable Partial Denture as that is the book that is taught in many different institutes and also in mine too.

      I sometimes use other published articles to look for any further information. But mostly I stick to the authentic book as that is the most authentic source you can get.
      Also I need to keep it simple and understandable for all the students, not to go in too much detail.
      I hope this makes my point clear.
      Thank you
