- A Chinook carrying Dante Adams, Patterson, Ybarra, Hernandez, and the balance of Ranger Platoon Bravo 1 is redirected from Gardez and inserted onto Takur Ghar in order to rescue the four members of AFO Neptune. However, as the helicopter is landing, RPGs and heavy small-arms fire damage the helicopter and causes it to crash land, with several wounded and killed in action. Adams is told to man the M134 minigun in the Chinook to suppress the Al-Qaeda attackers while the rest of the unit sets up a defensive perimeter outside.
Once the enemy attack falters, Bravo 1 disembarks and counterattacks the well entrenched AQ on foot. As the fire team advances, they come under fire from a bunker, but, with a SOFLAM designation from the Adams, Ybarra calls in a pair of F-15E Strike Eagles to destroy the heavy machine gun position. The squad then continues advancing up the mountain, coming under fire from another bunker, and again Adams designates the bunker for destruction by the F-15Es.
Hernandez discovers a cave entrance covered by corrugated iron and is shot and wounded when standing silhouetted in the entryway. Ybarra escorts Hernandez back to the LZ for medical attention while Patterson and Adams push into the cave, meeting with heavy resistance. As they exit the other side, the Rangers link up with Preacher and Voodoo and continue to search for Mother and Rabbit together.
The four shooters engage more Al-Qaeda and Chechen Mujahideen forces and make use of a CIA Predator to destroy a fortified machine gun position guarding another cave entrance. Inside the final cave, the four Tier 1 shooters find Mother and Rabbit who are escorted back to the rendezvous point by the Rangers' crashed Chinook. Mother, though injured, checks on Rabbit, who is in critical condition due to wounds received escaping from the Al-Qaeda ambush the night before. Voodoo, Preacher, Mother and Sgt. Patterson try to keep him awake and focused. The evac Chinook had to be redirected from Kandahar Airbase, and, due to a lack of emergency medical treatment, Rabbit passes away while still waiting for the Chinook to arrive. In the helicopter, Preacher takes Rabbit's lucky charm, a rabbit's foot, while Mother exclaims that this is not how their fight will end. Preacher agrees.

This and Warfighter both were criminally underrated games. They desperately need a remaster.

Yeah I would buy that immediately for the remastered editions. So glad I got to play both games before my 360 got the red ring of death

This one was so good. Story mission was so good and multiplayer was so great too and it was like COD, battlefield combined and that was just perfect. I want this series to come back and I want it to be closer to this one.

The best war game i ever played, absolutely perfect story and for them years it was really really realistic, if they actually make a remastered edition i would be like: take my money 🤣
If they remake it they should do a collector's edition. I'm thinking an ammo clip, or a mounted body armor mount and inside would be the game and other goodies

I instantly realized what was going to happen when the game mentioned Takur Ghar. When your character steps out of the downed Chinook and you see all of the Mujahideen and MG positions uphill in the snow my heart skipped a beat because of its faithfulness to the real event.
Fuck yea man. I played this game long before I learned about John Chapman but he quickly became my all time favorite Medal of Honor recipient. I even read the book “Alone at Dawn”. He’s my biggest hero

This is the only game i've ever played that showed a moment, where you have a wounded soldiers that are about to die without medical help, and command is telling you to "wait" for helicopters to complete their missions and then evac them
I mean... Call of Duty 4 literally has you dying of radiation poisoning, alone, surrounded by your dead comrades, in a burning hellscape of a city, the last sight to fill your eyes being for all you know is the onset of the apocalypse, Armageddon, Judgment Day, whatever biblical or scientific term for the end of all things you prefer.

Underrated game by far....so mad that the COD and Battlefield players didn't give this game a try...happy they made a sequel but the fighting was so realistic...

MOH warfighter was crushed by politics. Prolly because they were straight competing with COD. Bad reviews by big medias, and another COD was releasing that time. The studio was closed after the game's failure.
It wasn’t just that- a bunch of SEALs got in trouble with the Navy (or Pentagon in general if you prefer) as they told the developers what tactics SEALs use to take out insurgents or related classified stories to the developers

When I saw the actual footage. It didn't dawn on me. Second time I watched it I went huh. It sure does remind me about that medal of honor mission.... Can't believe that this game had these events. What an amazing legends and I'm glad I was exposed to the brave men who fought. Rip

When I first played this I was like, man they had the balls to even include Taliban and Al Qaeda, and the real events that actually happened like operation anaconda and battle of takur Ghar which includes the seals and the rangers. A very realistic approach to modern fps at that time

I remember playing this mission and got killed with an RPG 0.5 second from the save point, I had to restart the mission cuz I was stuck on an endless loop of getting killed.
I remember the 3 online maps for this, you played as either side, excellent.

Medal of honor series gave us great games in the past like the legendary and a myth Medal of honor Alied Assault that started all for this kind of fps and the first Omaha Beach. Nowdays we have Call of duty games and battlefiled and no very often medal of honor but at least this game rule great fps with Gi's fighting Taliban and stuff and the game is worth it. Great firefighs nice story and great weapons and as you shows great cinematic too. I might do a vid or two for my channel Golden Oldie section and thanks for the vid fell and obliged tha you remember us this game.
The day when medal of honor decided to bring this game of the newest generation of the entire community gamers.
And decided to change all of their old mechanics and rewrite all this characters like rabbit, voodo, dusty, and ect....
Call of duty is going to cry when they are se his old rival getting rise to his grave.
And I you know..... Dreamworks and Stephen Spielberg needs to come back and recreate this game.
And I know is not necessary but..... Someone needs to do his best part to recreate this game.
