I seriously hate how the plot was explained. Because if you don't pay attention, there are details for everything scattered throughout ALL the Tekken games that you can miss and makes it hard to understand. Even though, the plot has remained consistent for the main plot throughout, so it gets points for that. So here's the deal... Heihachi despises the Devil power! His resent for it originated the moment his wife, Kazumi, used her Devil power and tried to kill him outright. He killed her in defense because she was going to kill him no matter what. As it turns out, Kazumi's bloodline made a pact with the Devil centuries ago to allow the devil to possess them in exchange for power. Her family would then use this power to destroy evil. Fight fire with fire, if you will. So when Kazumi found out that Heihachi killed his father, Jinpachi, for control over the Mishima Zaibatsu and then used the, once benevolent and great, organization for atrocious crimes like human trafficking and drugs to gain power, she knew what she had to do. It's her family's duty to rid the world of evil and Heihachi, her beloved husband, is clearly very evil and, thus, NEEDS to kill him. So without warning or explanation, she attacked him with intent to kill. Since she didn't really explain herself or told him about her family's supernatural history, all Heihachi thought was that his beautiful wife Kazumi got possessed by some evil prior to, is controlling her now, and IT's trying to kill him. After her death, he suspected that the same evil would be lurking inside his innocent son, Kazuya. To "test" this, he "fought" Kazuya and told him that he needs to be stronger if he plans to take the Mishima Zaibatsu from him. At this time Kazuya knows Heihachi killed his mother and grandfather, two people he LOVED dearly, but has no idea why or how it went down. So to kid Kaz, it was just cold-blooded murders for no reason. When Kaz lost that fight, Heihachi threw him over the iconic cliff. Deep down, this was a witch trial to prove whether Kaz had evil in him or not. If Kazuya survives, then he too is possessed with evil. If he doesn't, then Kazuya wasn't but is now dead. Essentially, Heihachi would lose his son either way. When Kazuya returned to fight his father in T1, this proved to Heihachi, without a shadow of a doubt, that Kazuya was also possessed by the same evil that was in his wife. Which, you don't see until T7, how much that actually hurt him. Contrary to all the murdering and plots of murdering, Heihachi loved his wife and son. However, he would rather they be dead than possessed by evil. What Heihachi doesn't know, is that the Devil went to Kazuya in the cliff and that is where Kazuya made a pact with it. Kazuya didn't want to die at the bottom of a cliff and he craved power for revenge. The devil promised both and so the deal was made. As for Jin, he was just using him to get to Ogre. Once he did the deed, Heihachi killed Jin. When Devil Jin made it's reveal, Heihachi set out to deal with Jin afterwards. But then Kazuya returned in T4 and his goal now was to capture them both and perform experiments to see how the Devil gene worked. And maybe get a sliver of this power for himself. That obviously failed, but thankfully the ogre blood in his system has allowed him to stay up to par with those two for all these years. Up until the final clash in T7. Lastly, Jin only spared Heihachi at the end of T4 because he saw a vision of his mother. Seeing her reminded him that he's better than them and doesn't need to kill them. That's why he said "Thank my mother, Jun Kazama", whom everyone believes is dead. According to Harada, she isn't dead just missing. But Jin doesn't know that, he thinks she's dead. Which is what drove him against his Father in the first place. That's the gist. Then there's all the smaller details in between that connect to other people outside the family drama and so forth. Take a deeper dive one day, great way to kill time.
@@Hussuki Hey man I appreciate you gave yourself time to throw in that kind of information, respectable. I am aware whats really going on and even the origin of the story on why Heihachi has strong hatred towards demons. My original comment was meant that if he actually gave Jin a chance aside from everything that had happened, things may have gotten better. Kazuya isnt much different, he seeks world domination and wishes destruction. Jin intends to stop Kazuya. Heihachi could have given him a chance, but instead makes a enemy out of him just because he has a strong hatred toward demons. This is more of my "What if" comment. Didnt mean to sound like I didnt see the whole story. Not to mention what Heihachi did changed him after the betrayal.
I always assumed the short of it was that Heihachi saw everything as a means to an end. Originally, Jin was a way to get to Ogre and his freaky magic blood. Then he became the closest option to harvesting the Devil Gene's freaky blood connections, which would've been handy to have. By 6, Jin owns the Zaibatsu, and Heihachi can't let that be a thing for obvious reasons. He probably hates his son far more because Jin wouldn't kill him over his mother's teachings. Kazuya? Kazuya doesn't give a shit.
@@Mateus_Carvalho Actually you’re not off with your assumptions. In fact, that was the idea all this time. To make you believe he was a sour old man jealous of his son and grandsons unnatural powers. Willingness to do whatever to keep himself on top including hurting his own family all these years. And then they threw that curve ball at us in his past about his wife and what really went down and his motivation for trying to kill them shifts dramatically. Don’t get it twisted, he’s still a POS. He killed his father to take over the Mishima Zaibatsu so he can run a ton of illegal business for money and power to begin with. His world came crumbling down once his wife attacked him and he killed her.
If that happens im straight up gonna laugh. The Mishima family just throws themselves off cliffs for sport. Maybe there should be a sport about how many times you could get thrown off a cliff and/or volcano. Kazuya and heihachi are currently tied although Kazuya can still be thrown unlike our old man.
Mark my words Tekken will end with king piledriving a Mishima off a cliff onto another Mishima, who is resting at the bottom of a cliff after being thrown by the Mishima being piledriven.
I can't wait for the showdown between Jin and Kazuya in Tekken 8. I wonder how the story will play out (all I'm saying is that I hope it's better than Tekken 7...).
Despite all the silly cliff drops, the part of this saga that makes the least sense is why G Corporation thought bringing back Kazuya was a good idea. With technology like that available, bringing back a fighter was the best thing you could come up with? It really takes away the drama in Tekken 7's final story battles when it was already established that no one stays dead.
I think the G Corporation reviving back Kazuya is a "good idea". Not VERY wise of them but its the only way. Heihachi will most probably rule over the Mishima Zaibatsu with an Iron Fist whether Kazuya is alive or not so I think what if they revive him?
I don't get Heihachi but he's hilarious. He's not a devil himself, but he's got a devil wife, a devil son, a devil grandson, a devil dad. And he just won't stay DOWN!

The non-canon endings make the characters seem more multi-dimensional, yet they're never canon. Then T7 wants us to believe Kazuya & Heihachi have feelings after spending 6 games showing they don't. Anywho; T2 Kazuya's Non-canon ending. Heihachi saves Kazuya from Devil.(for some reason he's free from Kazuya's body)Kazuya gasp in shock as his father saves him, before giving into his rage. He uses Heihachi as a shield t get close to Devil to defeat him (IF the goal was to convey Heihachi only threw Kazuya off a cliff to kill Devil, not because he hated Kazuya himself. This ending would have made sense. ) But as you can above, the ending those choose was to have Heihachi yeeting Kazuya into a Volcano, lol. T3 Heihachi's Non-canon ending. Heihachi saves Jin. Jin is unconscious on a Helicopter. The Devil Gene markings begin to manifest themselves on Jin. Heihachi sees this... then throws Jin off the Helicopter, you can see he didn't want to do it. actual ending: Shoots Jin in the face, lol. That's what you get for looking like your dad. TTT1:(it's all non-canon) Jin is about to Kill Kazuya, but is stopped by a white light. Devil comes across a wounded Jun, He saves her. Jun comes across an KO'ed Devil, she turns him into Kazuya before walking away. T5 Non canon/Kazuya defeats his possessed Grandfather. He holds onto him and briefly remembers his childhood with him. Kazuya's eye turns Red before he kills Jinpatchi & laughs. You can argue Devil was killing the last of any goodness Kazuya had within him. (Asuka's ending/ has her aunts? power to dispel the Devil Gene. It's never shown again.) Then T7 is all "Kazumi,no" and "You killed my mom" like bro, yall never cared about this stuff. stop it.
@@Hussuki I appreciate the whole recap you did there, I really needed it!
The day they stop throwing each other off a cliff is the day the universe ends
Tekken - Father & son saying no u on 7 games straight
Now we wait for Jin to throw kazuya off of a cliff
If that happens im straight up gonna laugh. The Mishima family just throws themselves off cliffs for sport. Maybe there should be a sport about how many times you could get thrown off a cliff and/or volcano. Kazuya and heihachi are currently tied although Kazuya can still be thrown unlike our old man.
Unless Jin broke that tradition by either kill Kazuya like he did Heihachi and bury him under the mountains or blast him to bits with his laser.
Nah, probably Jun's spirit shows up again just like she did when he's about to kill Heihachi in T4.
Npw imagine if they went to counseling instead of throwing each other off' of cliff
Mark my words Tekken will end with king piledriving a Mishima off a cliff onto another Mishima, who is resting at the bottom of a cliff after being thrown by the Mishima being piledriven.
I'd like that
Tekken 5 still has the best intro hands down
Heihachi, the REAL Tekken protagonist!
And Jun was NEVER Kazuya’s wife! They simply had a son together...
"I died but I lived"
this honestly could be summed up as kazuya and heihachi throwing each other off cliffs.
0:34 kazuya really did tried again in his next life when thinking about it
"Hes goin' over that cliff."
*AAAUUUGH*
Im here because Nintendo Direct E3
Nice effort put into the video, Liked!
But I think you should have mentioned that Heihachi's fight was to eradicate the Devil Gene.
POV: after listening to this you suddenly realize that Heihachi and Old Joseph have the same Japanese VA
Good ole cliff Mishima, the true antagonist of the series. They always keep coming back to fight cliff, he always wins.
Instead of fishing by the lake or stream, they throw each other into a volcano. To each their own...
I can't wait for the showdown between Jin and Kazuya in Tekken 8. I wonder how the story will play out (all I'm saying is that I hope it's better than Tekken 7...).
I mean what happened in Tekken 7 was pretty cool what killed it was the boring ass narrator
Well we saw kazuya and Jin duel with each other in the Bandai namco logo in the tekken 7 trailer
Its Jin's turn to throw someone off a cliff, probably his dad.
Jun will probably save them both from the Devil Gene but some Kazumi relative gonna be like no you gotta die
@@reybadagong7637 or Jin will gain full control of his devil gene and finds a way to kill only kazuyas devil
And now kazuya is throwing half the smash roster of a cliff
I think the old man is gone for good

Remember Cliffhanger from Between the Lions?
This reminds me of that.
LMAO
Dang I feel old, thanks for helping me remember what that show from my childhood's name was
I Never forget a series like that lol
The Lion King
I don't get Heihachi but he's hilarious. He's not a devil himself, but he's got a devil wife, a devil son, a devil grandson, a devil dad. And he just won't stay DOWN!
Take a shot every time someone get's thrown off a cliff
and then Akuma came and killed both of them
Heihachi: (instantly defeats Kazumi in 5 seconds straight)
A sacrifice for the cliff gods
Yeah !

Well jun is not dead the makeror president of tekken of the game said it was not jun's head that ogre had in his hand. Some roumers and theories say that she is being captured by g corp
as I remember Harada says that she is missing 👀
I appreciate you just playing the Tekken 5 intro because holy shit what a hype way to opening a video game
What a beautiful and lovely family.
They be loving fall off cliffs, huh.
Who would of thought that the mishimas could do a genjutsu as seen in tekken 4
You can see 3d design are evolving
4:03 ah yes the memories of this and some snacks for a tekken marathon
Wow what a cool story but I'd rather play as Bruce Lee and open a restaurant then get fat
What is this series' obsession with throwing people off cliffs and then acting surprised when they aren't dead?
I think it’s a good question…
Tekken story explanation :
*alexa, play daddy issues by the neighbourhood
Thanks, after watching the video and reading some comments, I ended up with an enjoyable time, I doubt I'll eve play the games, but it was cool nonetheless.
The lore is what makes the game interesting to play
Can't wait to see how good Heihachi can swim in lava.
A family desperate in need of some counceling.
The non-canon endings make the characters seem more multi-dimensional, yet they're never canon. Then T7 wants us to believe Kazuya & Heihachi have feelings after spending 6 games showing they don't.
Anywho;
T2 Kazuya's Non-canon ending.
Heihachi saves Kazuya from Devil.(for some reason he's free from Kazuya's body)Kazuya gasp in shock as his father saves him, before giving into his rage. He uses Heihachi as a shield t get close to Devil to defeat him
(IF the goal was to convey Heihachi only threw Kazuya off a cliff to kill Devil, not because he hated Kazuya himself. This ending would have made sense. )
But as you can above, the ending those choose was to have Heihachi yeeting Kazuya into a Volcano, lol.
TTT1:(it's all non-canon)
Jin is about to Kill Kazuya, but is stopped by a white light.
Devil comes across a wounded Jun, He saves her.
Jun comes across an KO'ed Devil, she turns him into Kazuya before walking away.
T5
Non canon/Kazuya defeats his possessed Grandfather.
It's never shown again.)
Then T7 is all "Kazumi,no" and "You killed my mom" like bro, yall never cared about this stuff. stop it.
That's my TED talk.
I concur my good man.
None of them learned that throwing each other of a cliff doesn't kill them.
7:54 this made me laugh out of nowhere
what i've gathered from this is the tekken series is about volcano sacrifices
Kazuya : **throws his father from a cliff and smiles**
You're still alive
Me: I been asking that for years
