why Ha is -45 kn? while calculating reaction forces in X direction, if i consider Ha acting towards left as -ve and all 15 kN forces acting towards right as +ve then Ha would be +ve? -Ha+15+15+15=0 Ha=45
See the directions of all the reactions (forces) acting horizontally and reactions are 1. 15 kN at I joint 2. 15 kN at H joint and 3. 15 kN at E Joint So summation of all these forces comes out to be 45 And The reaction H(acting at A) is in the same direction as the three reactions acting at I,H & E So to balance these forces It's magnitude should be exactly opposite and equal to those three reactions (acting at I, H & E) So it should be -45 So that it Balances the whole frame

F eb comes out to be negative. So shouldn't the force be tensile because it is considered to be compressive

Yes, you are right. As you have assumed Ha towards left and got the positive value so you have to make calulations on the basis of that only.
