Ah History of the Moon~ Really, this must be one of ZUN's masterpieces so far, I don't know how else I could explain it!
Well there are many good arranges but the original itself is already epic like hell.:D
Imperishable Night will always have a special place for me because it was the first Touhou game with my favourite songs. I'm still undecided whether History of the Moon, Lunatic Princess or one of Mokou's themes is the best, I'd say they're all awesome in their own way. Both Lunatic Princess and History of the Moon are very expressive, so much melody and awesomeness packed in one theme, and Reach for the Moon, Immortal Smoke was my first favourite Touhou song. Well I'll talk about that later.~
But fact is, IN had my first favourite themes and some of my favourite characters even though some of them aren't THAT high on my list anymore. But I can assure you, both Eirin and her theme still are and will always be.~
I feel that History of the Moon has many interesting facettes, an epic intro that sounds GREAT as Metal riffs :D, a lot of mysteriousness and also some kind of longing...for the Moon maybe? Since, you know, the reason why Eirin stays on Earth... I still feel that a lot of this hasn't been eluded but I really love how the longing aspect is included in this track.~
Really, I feel that kimino museum got some more attention with their latest release but they deserve it! It's one of the mostly-vocal circles that bring out a lot of good vocals and this one if not an exception.
It doesn't have the intro from the original but a very nice piano solo followed by a Blues-like guitar. I'm going to assume it's Cathy singing and then her and fi-fy singing together in the chorus, yes? Ugh correct me if I say stupid stuff.^^'
Well tbh I wasn't expecting that much from a really calm History of the Moon arrange but the chorus is what threw me off! The 2 singers sound great together, like I said it's a different part of the song that's focussed on this time. Kinda lovely, is it the Butterfly Dream pill?^^
Tagged with the Lunatic Princess arrange by A-One, they're both gorgeous and fit together.^^ I could've paired it with Shihori's version (Sorrow of the Moon) but nope.

幻想 (Gensō) = Illusion, Fantasy or Hallucination
郷 (Sato) = Home Country
