How about this for a Snare Saturday: Snare setting! A guide to how to set your snare wires and the differences it makes in sound from loose to tight. Plus different snare wires i.e. strand count, snare materials, equalizer vs Blaster vs Canoous or whatever... All of course on the same snare, same tuning, same heads.
I am always amazed how you have your snare wires at seemingly the perfect tension every time. But this isn't about what the best is, but the difference they make.
How about gut snares? Wow, this could be more than one Saturday! 😂

I enjoy these comparison videos and you are doing a great job with them! Much appreciated! I like the copper a bit better.

To me, the Bronze sounded lower in the low tunings, higher in the middle tunings, & the drums were very similar in the last two tunings. Both drums have a LOT of overtones which become shorter in the higher tunings. As usual, I like both drums, but I was surprised that preferred the Rocker Bronze this time. Thanks Nick, I’m looking forward to seeing what you have next Saturday.

Thank you for doing these comparisons. I love both. Each have their place. Ludwig, IMHO, is the king of metal snare drums. I own a reasonable number of metal snares and only two are non-Ludwig.

Both of these sounded great, I need to get a brass or copper snare one of these days.

Thanks for the comparison. I am liking the med-high to higher tunings. Lower tunings I would turn to an aluminum or wood shell.

Thanks for doing this video. I don't know if you've noticed, but we never got a medium tuning playing comparison of the two drums. During the medium chapter the bronze is tuned low, while the copper is tuned medium. Thought you should know!

Great demo as usual 👍I slightly prefer the copperphonic, but all other factors equal, bronze and copper should sound almost the same as shell materials. I've learned from your videos that I like the way drums with imperial lugs sound, regardless of shell material.

I like them both. Price point is better on Rocker bronze. But i would love to have both . Thanks for the demo.

I am thinking of ordering a Jazzette kit. Looking at either Legacy series to make it a little lighter. Mahogany or maple? I love the sound of your mahogany kit. Didn’t know if anyone had experience with either in the bop sizes.

Why not test with a more equal playingfield? Heads and wires should be the same for a good comparison...

Very valid, though how did they sound to you?
