Thanks for the vid, Nick. These are both great drums. The Bronze snare seems to have lower pitched overtones than the Steel one. Since I already have a (comparable) Tama Rockstar steel snare, I'll take the bronze home.
@@NickCostaMusic Once I was bit by the vintage bug 4-5 years ago, it was Rogers. Even before I was, copper always had my curiosity. (My copperphonic is one of my favs) Now other brands/differences are furthering my drive. 2019, I dove into learning & building my arsenal. Playing, experimentation, studying with drum prof, your channel & others have helped me grow x10! THANK YOU! Keep up the great work!
The Rocker series drums at that time period were made to be louder and came with no dampeners. The Bronze surprised me with it response to higher tuning.
You need to infuse more humor in your videos. You are a riot! Throw some gaskets on both of them and I think that will dry up the overtones just enough. Both drums are underrated but I’m partial to the bronze.
The Bronze Rocker is amazing, would love to see that compared with the Acrolite….head to head
That's a fantastic idea! Now, with era acrolite?

Another great video and comparison. I would choose the bronze every time!
Many thanks, @markmonolithofficial ! What made the bronze stand out more to you?
Amazing comparisons. Thank you!
Glad it was helpful - thank you for continuing to follow along and comment! Which drum did you prefer?

Thank you for doing these comparisons.
Thank YOU for following along and watching!
All of the LM3xx series snares are great. I put P85s on all of mine, no problems.
I have the rocker bronze, bought at a triftshop few years ago for about 30 dollars here in the netherlands
That's a fantastic buy! Great find
Those hats sound amazing
Can't go wrong with @zildjiancompany ! Especially when they're fat hats
Love Ludwig drums. Other day I played a Backbeats aluminum snare drum value was $125 at guitar center and sound amazing too.
I think it's safe to say if it's a @ludwigdrumshq , it's gonna sound great!
Bronze sounded slightly darker…..more hollow and ringy. The medium & high tuning I thought sounded good though

Interesting, since this rocker steel does have an internal dampener. Wonder if it's an earlier model?
I like the steel better in the medium low tuning
Lol those rolls uff 🔥
Much appreciated, thank you!
Junk rock drums doesn’t have their own commerce web site. They sell on Reverb
That’s correct, though they’re a brick n mortar store as well.
Overwhelming the bronze wins, hands down. But the LM300 isn't a horrible sounding snare.
Right?! Both have a great sound for different reasons

I'm pretty goofy natured, though I try not to show that in my videos...maybe it's time to change that up
