The final line-up (BE:FIRST) was able to be on TV (Sukkiri now DayDay) 3 days after the final episode was up on Hulu on August 16, 2021. (Sukkiri was involved because they had a morning program that talked about the episode that goes up, very similar to No No Girls Night.) Back during THE FIRST (circa 2021), boss was still trying to find a broadcaster that would be willing to air THE FIRST the way he wanted (no script, no exaggerated drama, no extra segments that exploits the contestants for "views" or "ratings", just the audition and process as it is). NTV / Hulu only said yes to him and his proposal for THE FIRST during this round / Training Camp (February or March 2021). So he had to ask the boys who were still in the audition at the time for permission and inform them about it. I don't know if they edited the show in a way to show the final line-up more, I don't THINK they did....? But say they did, it isn't edited in a way you could see explicit favoritism like you would expect from your usual reality TV, survival shows, or documentaries, if that makes sense. MISSIONx2 is, obviously, very different from this, as syd mentioned. I'd say the editing of the show overall focuses more on the boys who make it into MAZZEL. The editing of the show in general is also a little bit more jumpy so it has its pros and cons, I won't say more in case I spoil anything! I'd say No No Girls is much more similar to THE FIRST in terms of editing. I thought I'll only be seeing these once a week so this completely took me by surprise hahaha Episode 5 might be one of my favourites before the Training Camp arc honestly!
LOL yeah I loooove being able to change the size of the subs and everything it's very helpful for when there's like a big block of CC text for a video I'm watching. That is such a wild schedule, but I understand why it was like this. Adaptability is important to nurture and develop, especially in this industry. I'm glad Boss was adamant that the show wasn't scripted or overly dramatized because it just makes it more painful (or cringey) to watch for me. I liked the docu-style of this show. But I am very interested to see what Mx2 is going to feel like for me as a viewer when we get there. Leo really impressed me here, I'm glad he feels comfortable enough to take on a leadership role when it's needed, but I also like his "role" in B:F as the mood maker, he does both really well. Such a good guy. And sjkdskjd Shota scaring the kids with his established artist vibe/look. That's especially funny because I know how incredibly nice he is in general, so him coming off as intimidating is so unnatural to me LMAO.
