Wolverine is a ton of fun to play, but he needs massive buffs. Maybe passive healing or lifesteal might help him alot, along with better grab range on feral leap to make it feel less clunky. Even if you're good with the character, there's still only a 40-60 chance that you actually land the move on someone in a 1v1.
My experience with wolverine is if you manage to start a 1v1 with someone, it doesnt matter who they are playing as long as you are close enough you always win that exchange... But then you have moments where catching people alone is impossible or you have the standard iron man/storm shooting at you in the sky
@@zzodysseuszz exactly. Someone like hawkeye will force me off wolverine too for example. Wolverine can be kited way to easy by anyone somewhat competent UNLESS you catch them in a bad spot or use literally every ability you have to 1v1 them.
I admit I was not having fun with Logan initially, but that was because of how I perceived him. As a Wolverine fan your first instinct is jump headfirst into the front line and just start slashing. Nope. And it reminded me of how it felt to play Heroes in Battlefront II. Initially you want to just stand infront of the entire team and deflect blaster fire all day and do all the cool stuff you've seen in the films and clone wars. But as you play more, you realize you have to keep moving. You have to get in and get out. Striking unsuspecting teams from their backline, and dashing away to heal. Then rinse and repeat.
I play a lot of Magik and I don't think I've ever lost a 1v1 to a wolverine because even if he has a second health bar, I have life steal, more range, i-frames, and still decent burst damage with dash to midair normals. I think wolverine is significantly more fun than most the other melee characters, but I agree with you that his passive cooldown is far too long. Also, highlighting enemies that are under half health would work wonders for him.
Wolverine main here, he can genuinely be amazing when you truly get in the right mindset and pick out your fights right, but he mostly just serves at the most basic function as a tank buster. He can scoop up tanks and melt their health bars, as his damage is based 1.5x the targets max health. But a buff to his health from like 300 to 350 at max normal health would be awesome, as well as toning the passive cooldown from 87 to like 40, and he’d be a genuine constant killing machine
worst hero in the game. the ONLY melee hero that has a cool down on his attacks. his leap misses a LOT when it really shouldnt and can be canceled by random nonsense. Needs all of his movement to do anything whereas black panther's dash can actually be used to escape fairly reliably. his damage resist needs to activate IMMEDIATELY, not after his yell. leaps cool down is too long his ult is oddly unreliable to hit who you catch in the knock up. hes a mess but he was the last to be announced so maybe he was rushed, which is a questionable decision because he is one of, if not the most, loved marvel characters.
I just don't understand why he doesnt have any form of self sustain. The guy known to regenerate his whole body has no traditional healing??? Idk why they feel only supports are allowed that privilege. If you dont have a healer up your ass or your not ambushing people, your just a 300~ health character to shoot at. If he had some passive healing, he would be much more viable flanking solo and taking risks. The other team wouldn't be able to ignore a single hurt wolvey backing off because hed come back in 8 seconds ready to go again. I get the idea of rage and the burst of health and what not, but it feels a little redundant to me, why not stack the rage onto the howl or healing instead? His damage is nuts hes not bad, just without team coordination, he can get boxed out and has to follow a more linear game plan
@@zzodysseuszz He isn't easy to play. But he is by no means "The worse". Wolverine players are held back by the perception of Wolverine. People want to just Jump into a fight head first and be a front line brawler. That isn't the case. You have to pick your fights. Flank the back line, do damage get in and get out. And 1V1 anyone who can't heal

Uh no? wtf are you talking about he loses nearly every 1v1 even against healers like mantis

Everyone who says this never actually played wolverine, he loses EVERY 1v1 including 1v1s against supports, he's that bad
I've gotten iron man and storm out of the sky with feral leap lol it was so awesome
@@milboxr9772he's specifically a tank shredder.

Bro fucking iron fist has a dedicated heal
His berserker shout is pretty much his sustain. It keeps you alive in high risk situations, but I agree, he needs more
I can never get that pounce down
I use the cross attack first then the dive when they’re right in front of me to take them towards teammates for easy kills
8:00 duh hulk can’t just destroy the whole entire map or Thor shouldn’t be able to one shot the whole entire team.
First comment?! Damn man! You are underrated! Def a sub.
I feel wolverine kitt should of gone to sabertooth
I've been avoiding any gameplay of Wolverine until I get Marvel Rivals, because I WILL main him and I want to learn it all organically
Don’t bother he’s objectively the worst character in the game by all standards.
